Oasis Village Holiday Park Holiday Reviews

Oasis Village Holiday Park

This site has chosen its location with true French style and sophistication. It's ideally positioned for exploring the nearby towns of Cannes or St. Tropez where you can all celebrity-spot to your hearts content. However your children would be happy to spend most of their time at the pool complex, which has a 'lazy river' ride and a wavepool that is a real hit with children.

Wonderful holiday in lovely location, if you have a car. Otherwise stay clear as this site is too remote. St Tropez is an hour a way and there is a lot to see & do.

We got lost trying to find our way back to the site twice, so take a detailed map, or sat-nav. We did a fly drive from Nice Airport. Very easy and straight forward.

There are 20 caravans on site run by Siblu, 300 altogether, mostly run by French companies. This is very much a French site. Very quiet site if you discount the insects & wildlife. Bird songs everywhere as you are in the middle of the woods. Also giant ants which the kids bothered more than they bothered us. They soon had an ant farm in the glass jar I gave them. No TV was a bonus, as the kids played outside.

The pool is supervised by lifeguards & you are not allowed to bring in inflatable, shoes, (they carry stones, you must come through a foot bath), food or drink, presumably because of the mess. No cloth type men’s shorts are allowed. Lycra men’s briefs only.

Very clean site and caravan. One thing there is a very strict policy on cleaning for all Siblu sites. They take a cheque or credit card number from you on arrival and a £50 deposit is taken if the caravan is not left exactly how you found it. We had paid the damage waver so that the caravan would not have to be inspected before we went as we left at 7:30 am, and then found that it still needed to be inspected for cleaning. Consider not opting for the damage waver insurance, you are unlikely to break anything of value.

They will lend you cleaning equipment, Hoovers mops etc. This said we only paid £140 for the week, first week in May & the weather was beautiful, so don’t let this put you off providing you get a cheap deal.

There is a mini club for 4 - 12 year olds 3 hours am, 3 hours pm, 1 Euro a session, but this is site run & totally French. My little boy of 6 was forced to use his French knowledge for the first time in his life, which he quite enjoyed. He came out with a calendar which he had made, and wanted to go again.

We have booked for next year for a different site, as we had a great time.
