This wonderful resort is situated alongside the Durance River. I literally have nothing bad to say about this place.
There are three different sized pools, a shop (more of an essentials store and not a food store), two restaurants, a bar and nightly entertainment. The whole place is wonderfully maintained and provides all ages with a wonderful time. They have even constructed an underground disco hall so that the nightly entertainment doesn't reverberate around the whole site at night. Accommodation is reasonably priced too!
Some people might even be lucky enough to secure a site right next the river, as we did, which made our stay even more magical. Even if you don't secure a riverside location, you can still see the mountains towering around you. Although swimming is not allowed in the river, there are plenty of boats, canoes and pedelo’s to be hired on the site itself.
Also, thanks to the Cote de Azur motorway, you can reach other places of interest easily such as the Gorges du Verdon, Aix en Provence, Sisteron or the seaside.
A thoroughly recommended place to stay that offers something to all age ranges. I would definitely stay here again.

My 4yr old son and I flew with Bmibaby from M/cr to Perpignan for 5 nights. Flight time was 2hrs, no delays. Cost £70. My only moan here if you like would be the lack of legroom on the flight. Took a taxi from the airport to the resort. Cost 60euros, 30mins.
We arrived a few hours before the check in time of 4pm but the Siblu staff were friendly and helpful and happy to ensure our accom was ready just 30mins after our arrival.
The mobile home was an Excellence, cost £140. Although it looked dated from the outside it was spacious inside and it was positioned close to the pool, reception area etc.
The larger La Sirene is a few minutes’ walk away on the other side of the road and has a stage (showing Chicago musical when I was there). Here is the supermarket, take away, restaurant, and internet.
I would def recommend hiring a car, then you can explore the village and surrounding areas as it's quite a walk just to the beach and even further to Argeles Sur Mer.
One last tip, Perpignan airport is small and the departure lounge is small - think square room with chairs, frosted glass at one end and toilet at the back, that's it. So after checking our luggage in we sat outside the airport until I def knew the flight was on time and then left it until the last minute before passing through security.

L'Hippocampe is a fantastic campsite the pool complex is good and quiet and you can use the larger pool at La Sirene if you want. The site is small and friendly with sports facilities and playground and a small bar with nightly entertainment. Again you can use all the facilities at La Sirene literally accross the road that has excellent entertainment (although a bit crowded for big shows). We have been for the past 7 years and return again this year. Our kids are now 8 and 10 and they love the site and the kids club provided by Siblu that is on site.
