There were 3 of us that stayed at this resort for 1 week. It is a nice resort and very spacious. We booked it last minute and got a very good deal. However, just check your transfer details as we had a few problems!
The accommodation is clean, quiet and most of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. (The owner has a mean temper though, so don't get on the wrong side of him!). The rooms are good sizes with air conditioning, which was definitely needed! They are cleaned most days and we really liked our apartment. The hotel is mostly German orientated, which was fine but some of them are so rude! The meals are fine there, not much variety though.
The pool was lovely and spacious. We didn't have to fight for the sun loungers! We were the only ones by the pool most days so it was lovely and quiet. However, the sun loungers are the most uncomfy loungers we have ever laid on! They were cheap white plastic loungers that you couldn't adjust the back! The beach is very close and there are lots of things to do at the beach, even though it's a shingle beach. This resort is outside of the town so you need to get a taxi into the town centre and there are no local shops to get food etc, which was a shame. It took about half an hour to walk, which we didn't think was too bad!
Afandou town is very small and quiet, but lovely to walk around. There are a variety of restaurants and bars to go to, which keep you entertained in the evening. There are buses going to different parts of Rhodes, such as Lindos and Rhodes old town, which are easy to use and cheap.
Overall this holiday was a nice relaxing holiday and I would recommend it to others, just take your own sun loungers!
