Holiday Inn Paris Republique Hotel

Central location, spacious and comfortable rooms (but no coffee and tea making facilities), metro right outside ("Republique"), close to lots of good restaurants and bars, courteous staff who all speak excellent English, ok bar - but expensive. Lovely breakfast buffet - but also expensive. Good base for all the sights, though! All in all a pleasant hotel - I would definitely stay there again.

This was our first time in Paris and we stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during the Thanksgiving holiday. It was about a 25 minute walk from the Eurostar station (even for the directionally challenged which we are so don't let anyone tell you any different) and the metro station is located maybe 20 yards from the front door of the hotel so getting around was extremely easy. We have stayed at this hotel twice ... once in 1997 and again in 2003. Both times we enjoyed quality service ... rooms were clean and large compared with other hotels... staff spoke English, which is very helpful ... location is next to the Metro ... breakfast buffet is wonderful. We definitely will stay here again.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Republique for 5 nights this month. Loved the place and the staff. Everyone was very helpful and willing to assist. All the staff new English and we were very pleased with the location and value. Extremely close to the metro station (Republique) and sorrounded by restaurants and stores. The breakfast buffet isn't cheap but well worth every penny. Also very close to Gare du Nord for all of you considering a trip to London or other parts of Europe. Great Hotel.

I went here with my boyfriend in July, i absolutely loved this hotel. the room was massive and really really clean. The staff were really helpful, they all speak fluent English which is a help. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone. (Oh yeah the breakfast is absolutely delicious)

Our family stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in July, 2004. The hotel was centrallly located for us. It is surrounded by restaurants and within a short walk is an internet cafe, which is very critical to our 15 year old son. The concierge was very helpful and sold us tickets to the lime green double decker bus tour, which was a short walk. This was the best way to see the entire city in one day. Rooms are large by Paris standards. A bit out of date but clean. The nearby metro station makes it very easy to get to most places. The non-smoking section of the restaurant was one of the smokiest I've been in and the service the worst. However the breakfast room service was excellent. There are several good restaurants nearby.

Stayed here June 2004 and have booked again for Nov 2004 Great location with non-pricey bars and restaurants within walking distance. Hotel upgraded us to executive room which was very spacious and overlooked inner courtyard. Room clean and bright. Any requests eg more coffee were dealt with quickly and courteously. 1 minute from metro so we were able to see more of Paris than ever before. Just back from a long weekend in Paris staying at the Holiday Inn, place de la republique. Highly recommend this hotel for it's great location, clean and comfortable rooms and friendly staff all of whom spoke English. We were lucky and got an upgrade which meant our room overlooked an inner courtyard and hence was very quiet. It was hard to believe you were in the heart of a busy city.
