Two families with four adults and...

Two families with four adults and four teenage boys. Booked last minute direct by phone with Siblu. The bloke was brilliant and made it painless. We had the largest mobile homes (all that was left), and glad as the room, accomodation and equipment was excellent.
The site was full of French, Irish & Brits. Very friendly, clean and safe. Security was visible at night, but no disturbances just laughing happy people when club closed - well it was a holiday. Great pool, shop and toilets looked cleaned although we never used them. Restaurant and take away was to a very high standard. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Sites evening entertainment bit naff apart from Gen Rock(?) a German(?) Jack Black and got the place rocking.
Site to beach or town centre is 15 mins by bike (through beautiful forest), 5 mins by car and 45 mins walk. Good choice of eats and drinks and lovely beach. Had great days out at Noirmoutier, Les Sables (great evening street entertainment). There's a fabulous lake near Azenay with a beach, boats etc and at the foot of a castle. Think a lovely beach called Notres Dames. Fantastic bike trails all around St Jean de Monts.
Certainly return to this site, the Sister Site across the road appeared quieter and may suite couples etc.

We had travelled to France by...
8 / 10
May 2007, Mrs RL Ross-Plummer

We had travelled to France by Eurostar and car only to find that our pre-arranged accommodation had let us down. We contacted Siblu by 'phone to ask if there was any chance of staying with them for our week.
We got accommodation immediately and were warmly welcomed onto site and to our wonderful static caravan style chalet. The chalet was very well equipped, modern and very well suited to our needs.
The site facilities were excellent although we didn't use any of the food outlets and chose to cook for ourselves each day.
The site supermarket was fair although it was let down by the poor fresh produce (unbelievable really) we barbequed on most days which was a great way of meeting our next door neighbours! Local towns offered excellent supermarket options - go for 'hyper-u' and 'super-u'
The swimming pools were fantastic and suited our three children down to the ground
Security showed a visible presence and were particularly effective at controlling the bored, excitable teenagers at 10.30 at night when their club had finished!
We had occasion to require medical attention late one night and really struggled to locate on call telephone numbers or anyone able to assist us.
We eventually gave up as the issue was not an emergency and waited until staff came on duty the following morning. Not acceptable as the problem turned out to require hospital treatment on the following day - that was a major disappointment bearing in mind we had three small children with us.
We would definitely return to a Siblu site in another part of France or Spain.

Myself, husband and 3 teenage boys...
8 / 10
Aug 2006, Mrs P Morley

Myself, husband and 3 teenage boys have just come back from this park we took our own caravan and have never taken it abroad before it took about 9-10 hrs to drive but was well worth it as we had a great time. I felt I had gone abroad but half the price of when I fly to say Spain ect and we had very good weather the pools were great the site clean.
Our pitch was large and only 5 mins to St Jean de Monts with very easy free parking all supermarkets only 5 mins away and lots of different places to visit we are going again next year. The only fault I would say is the barrier closes at 11pm so if you want to come back later you can not get through and have to leave the car in the front car park which we did not want to do.
There are few Travel Agents around and they offer superb deals on excursions and outings for a fraction of the price of the holiday operators. Car, scooter, quad & beach buggy hire is everywhere. It is a good idea to hire one and explore the island, we hired a quad and it was good fun.
We had a pleasant stay and it was a good holiday. Just don't forget, your Check Out from your apartment on the day of your departure is at midday, you may be able to extend until 6pm for €20 extra. In any case, they have space for your luggage until you are collected.
Hope you have as wonderful holiday as ours was.

I went to this site with my wife and...
8 / 10
Dec 2005, Mr J Mclean

I went to this site with my wife and 13 year old son. My son loved the site he joined the kids clubs and made lots of friends (we hardly saw him during the day).
The site was well maintained and the staff all spoke English and were very helpful. We stayed in a mobile home that was a reasonable size and was a little bit basic but very clean and well looked after (We looked at the larger mobile homes and they were really nice) The pool complex was really good the pools aren't that big but they do have a good water slide and life guards.
They provided entertainment every evening which was better than a lot of shows I’ve seen and it was free. There is a supermarket on site which was ok just a bit small there are also a couple of restaurants which we didn’t try and a takeaway which was excellent. There is also another site across the road owned by the same people and you can use the facilities there.
There is a great beach about a mile away and lots of small villages around.
I would recommend this site to anyone but especially to those with families, as they do seem to be focused on families with kids. The only real complaint was that there was no TV in the caravan.
One last point I booked through their direct sales line and was surprised that I got a really good deal on the ferry crossing, which I normally book independently.
