Domaine de Kerlann Holiday Park

Generally we had a good time during our short stay, with our 4 and 6 year old.
However on arrival at 8 in the evening, we picked up the late arrival pack from the reception box only to find our allocated caravan was already occupied with a French family. Not what you want after travelling all day. It was sorted within a couple of hours, but not the ideal start to the holiday.
The indoor pool was ideal for us, and the evening entertainment was adequate for our children. The clubhouse compared to other sites we have stayed at seemed very small and basic, with limited seating.
On site shop was a bit expensive, but nearby supermarkets better. Beaches a short drive away. Mainly French families at this time of the year staying, which was fine.

We had also read a bad review just before we left for our holiday and were worried - but we needn’t have been. Domaine de Kerlann is a lovely, well equipped site providing as much or as little activity as you require.
We went with four teenaged children and the accommodation was fantastic - very clean, spacious and well appointed with a lovely deck and an additional grassy area for games.
If you like to do the 'holiday camp thing' then its all there, but be prepared to pay the price! The price of drinks, snacks and other holidays treats is, we felt, inordinately high. However, there is a good Intermarche just down the road and we stocked up on lots of lovely treats there and only went to the entertainment once. Our teenaged children soon made friends and, ten Euros in hand, disappeared most evenings, leaving us to enjoy a nice bottle of wine, a good book and each other’s company - just what we like to do on holiday!
It is true to say that the camp is not within walking distance of any other activity/facility, but good local shops, fantastic beaches and lovely restaurants are just a short drive away.

I read a very bad review for Domaine De Kerlann on this site a couple of days before we departed and started to panic!
Luckily we were extremely pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We had a 3-bedroom mobile home, which looked like it was brand new, it had every convenience you could need and a beautiful large deck, which we lived on. Each mobile home site had hedging around it so you really felt like it was your own space.
We brought 3 kids with us ages 2,5 and 14, and they all loved this holiday. The pool complex was brilliant and we spent most of our time there, we were allowed beach balls and 2 piece swimsuits. There was also tennis, basketball, mini golf, a running track and many other things to do, so much in fact that we were only left the park 3 times in a week and we only managed that because we bribed the kids.
The evening entertainment was definitely quirky but it really made is laugh, the family entertainment went on til 11pm and we could not shift our kids from in front of the stage until the last crazy dance had been danced.
Everyone who worked on this site, works very hard which made it a very hassle free holiday. We enjoyed this park so much that our first camping holiday will definitely not be our last!
