a Jack Russell was permanently tied up next to the Livas Hotel Apartments in Protaras without food, water or shelter. Apparently it even fell down the bank it is tied next to, and managed to 'dig itself into the earth or it would have hung itself'. I asked some people... more

We have stayed at the Livas Hotel twice a year for the past four years. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the hotel and swimming pool are clean and well kept, all for a great price. The bar and the food served there is excellent. Andreas (bar owner) and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Yianna (hotel manager) and her family, provide a hotel that has a happy and homely atmosphere, with lots of things to do. In an environment in which many familiar faces return time and again. Had two glorious weeks in Pernera - Beautiful Island - Fantastic People. Booked direct with hotel and hired a car from the airport - word of warning - we arrived in the dark and there are no road signs from Protaras to Pernera and we stumbled on it by accident ! Hotel only a short walk to the bay which has a lovely little beach - crystal clear water - get yourself a snorkel and a pair of rubber soled swimming shoes and you will be in paradise! Stayed at the livas apartments 2nd july for 1 week and had a lovely apartment with seaview.all the staff lovely and helpful.balconies are a little small more suitable for 2 rather than 3 or 4.apartments spacious and well equipped with full cooker,fridge and electric kettle.shop has all you need for self catering.happy hour between 6pm and 7pm lovely cocktails for 2 euros.english breakfast was good value at 4.90 euros and was available until midday.beach is 5 minutes away and nearer if you cut down the side of building site.this was the only... more

We booked through Libra holidays and had reasonable transfer. Downer was that Paralimni was left until last to drop hotel guests off, so we had a quite long coach ride. Rooms: Very clean and comfortable. Basic; not luxurious, but comfortable enough. Room we stayed in had a basic table and chairs, kitchen &bedrooms reasonably equipped. We have stayed here four times now and each time we have been made to feel part of the family. They will remember your name and every member of staff is polite, from Cleaning staff to Management. The rooms are very basic, but are larger than expected and the immediate area has plenty of shops and family friendly pubs and restuarants to keep you occupied. Fantastic Location and Staff from Veebo
We spent a fantastic week at this small family apartment/hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and from the point of walking treated you as if you were family. The hotel is a bit worn down but you cannot expect much of a 2.5 star hotel that is nearing its 20 year. The apartments are larger than you would expect, so much so that I would happily live in one if it were my home in London. Try and get a room on the 3 or 4 floor and you guarantee yourself a view of the sea. We had a corner room and it provided a view of the pool as well.... more
Very Friendly Hotel from hadeva
Small hotel (38 rooms) so you get to know the staff and they know you. Very spacious studios and a nice modern pool set away from the main nightlife so its fairly quiet. New villas planned at the back of the hotel but the noise wasn't too bad maybe it will be worse when they start the actual villas. Air conditioning costs £3 per unit (1 unit in the studios 2 units in the apartments). Take a small fan with you to save the extra cost. Overall a great place to stay.
