Liz and Danielle loved the whole experience of Sidari and staying at the Waves apartments made it all the better. The staff were very friendly and helpful and were willing to spend time with us, they really looked out for us and Nikos (the young one) even took us out for a night on the town. They made us feel that welcome we didn't want to go home at the end of the two weeks.
The accommodation was good, we only really needed a place to sleep and get dressed for the next night on the town so we didn't really mind what it was like. The town centre was full of great bars and we made lots and lots of great friends that made the holiday even better than we could ever have imagined. Our apartment was right in front of the pool so we could grab a great place early on so we could chill out for the whole day. We ate in the restaurant every night apart from one (we had to make a trip to the local McDonalds) and we really enjoyed all of the food.
We want to thank Fanny the cleaner for being patient with us and letting us stay in bed when she wanted to clean. We hope to return to Sidari next year, if we don't stay at the Waves we will be definitely popping in for a chat and a few drinks!

This was our second visit to the waves and this time we brought 12 family and friends with us and each and everyone of them really enjoyed themselves and had a great time,
We think the waves are perfect for a peaceful and quite holiday as you have a 10/15 min walk into Sidari center.
As stated below they have added a new play park for the kids this year which was an unexpected bonus, The food is also great at the waves, but you may find better value in town we also found sea breeze and memories very, very good, and there set menus were excellent.
And I would also like to add that we were that family from Northern Ireland who put there towels down early as someone stole are beds the day before. lol. All in all it was a very good holiday and a great time was had by all.

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday to the Waves Apartments in Sidari. The tour operator was Libra and the holiday started on a bad note, delayed at Manchester for 4 hours and then when we boarded the plane, one of the flight attendants was taken sick and that meant another hour and a half delay. Not a good start!
This was our first visit to the Waves Apartments but over the years we have been to Sidari on 4 previous occasions. All the other times we have stayed near the village centre or in the Canal D`amour area.
The apartments are furnished in traditional Greek style and are by no means the worst we have stayed in, with a separate kitchen and bathroom away from the bedroom which is not bad for a Studio and gives ample space for 2 people.
The usual cooking facilities i.e. 2 cooking rings and fridge, electric kettle but the utensils were a bit sparse, just 2 of everything.
Only 1 sheet change in the 2 weeks but the towels were changed about every 3/4 days.
The apartments have a very nice garden and pool area complete with a shallow children’s pool. There is also a small children’s play area with swings and slide etc but I think that it’s situated in the wrong place, near the beach road. It would be better placed in the garden area.
Overall the apartments were quite pleasant and the biggest plus was the bar and restaurant which is run by the family who I might add are as lovely a group of people who you would wish to meet. Especially Nikos Christos who run the bar) and Fanny the cleaner who I think adopted my grandchildren as her own.
The Apartments are probable the furthest out from the town on the outskirts of the resort and you can guarantee peace and quiet at night. It takes about 15/20 minutes to walk into the resort centre but take care walking back in the dark and a torch would be advisable.
There is a very small sand/shingle beach directly in front of the apartments and the water is quite shallow for some distance out from the shore. If you want water sports you have to go into town but beware they can be quite expensive if you’re on a budget.
Eating out is in-expensive and there is plenty of variety but offering the best value were Sea Breeze and Memories, both situated on the main street, who offer a tourist 3 course menu for 6.50 euros. Excellent food in both.
The bars now mainly cater for the younger clientele and in my opinion this resort is turning into 18/30.Its a shame because in the past it was very family orientated. Not to much to do at night for the families with younger children though some bars do show films in the early evening.
Don’t use the reps if you plan any trips, the travel shop Vassallos, in the centre of the resort offers the best value.
Be wary in some of the bars, they will fleece you but if you look around you can get a pint/large bottle of Amstel for 1.50 and cocktails for 3.50.
Overall, we had a very good holiday, but the down side was the walking to and from the apartments. This could be a bind if you have young children or you are not to nimble on your pins because you have too cross the bridge to go into town.
If, however, you like a lively night life with plenty of loud music this could be the place for you.
My family may not return to Sidari, but if I went back with just adults, I would certainly consider staying at the Waves and that was also the opinion of many other guests.
On a lighter note, the English, used to believe the Germans were the worst for getting up early and putting towels on sun beds. I have to report that a family from N Ireland (who shall be nameless to save embarrassment) were caught putting their towels out at 00.45 a.m. and I have the pictures to prove it.
Their excuse was that they wanted too make sure the following days new arrivals (approx 13.00 ) didn’t get on the beds before them. Enjoy your holiday.

Nice place run by nice people. Apartment wasn’t up to scratch. We didn’t feel safe on the rear balcony with three small children and the walk back from Sidari was a bit intimidating for the children as it isn’t well lit. But we had a nice time there and would go back when the kids are older. Bring your mozzy creams ha ha.
The food was nice and not to expensive, we ate in Memories bar which offered set meals for 6.50e then had drinks in Costas bar on the front of the beach were drinks were 1.50e for a bottle of Amstel.
The water park in Sidari is worth a visit 6e for a wrist band which keeps the kids happy. Hope you enjoy your visit we did.

My partner and I have just returned from a very lovely weeks holiday at the Waves Sidari. We had a break without the children but will definitely be returning with them in the near future. The apartments were very basic but very clean (cleaned 6 days a week).
The Waves is family run apartments situated about 10 minutes stroll from the hustle and bustle of Sidari center witch we found nice if you wanted a few quiet nights away from it all. Although in the bar on a night you could have just as good time chatting to other residents we had a few good nights in here.
The bar was run by the two brothers, Nikos mostly! Where nothing was too much trouble for them and were happy to chat and help you out.
Sidari center is very nice lots of places to eat and drink it gets quite busy on a night.
Overall the holiday was probably the best we have ever had.

I was very pleased with the whole package on offer. The waves is very quiet and peaceful and the staff are very helpful especially Nikos. The food in the apartments is fine but I find you get a better meal in town. I would recommended Bolero on Sidari main street there food is top notch and they give big portions. The waves apartments is about a 10/15 min walk into Sidari town and it’s a lovely walk along the sea front and then over a small foot bridge. There is loads of bars in town and the place is buzzing at night time The drink fags and food is really cheap out there. 20 Fags] 2.50 Euro for a pack. Pint of Amstel 2.50 Euro. Main course dinner between 5.50 - 9.00 Euro.

The wave is about 15 mins from Sidari centre.
The sea is right on the door step with a little beach which the Greeks tend to use. We was in studio 11 it had air con which was 50 euros for 2 weeks it had a mini cooker with 2 rings a grill and oven which was good. We also had a fridge pots and pans 2 single beds a shower no bath it was cleaned every day except Wednesdays.
The bed linen changed once a week the towels every other day. The wave had a swimming pool and a little one for the little ones with a poolside bar they also have a restaurant, which we tried which was very nice.
The wave is a family run business, which are the nicest people you could ever meet. The main beach is about 10 mins away the sunbeds are 7.50 euro for 2 with parasol there are lots of bars and restaurants on the way to the beach. We had a breakfast in Elyesse, which was only 3 euros each it was small but nice you even get a tea and fruit juice with it.
We also went to Napoleons which was ok I had a jacket potato with cheese and beans and you got a free cup of tea with it but you have to ask for it or else you don’t get it, it was always busy. I also had the same thing at the bolero with was excellent big portions for 4.50 euros.
We also went to a Chinese called china town, which was the best we have ever had. As for the bars they don’t tend to get busy till about 10pm they have lots of films on at teatime like Spiderman 2 and Troy ect. The best bars I think was bolero, calypso and shakers bar. Don’t book excursions from your rep they are much cheaper in town.
All in all we had a excellent holiday will be definitely going back.

We normally stay in 4 & 5 star hotels, so going self catering was a big change for us plus we was taking our 12 week old baby away for the 1st time so we was very anxious prior to travelling. However we weren’t disappointed. We had a fantastic holiday! We had a two bed apartment and a studio, both of which were basic but had everything you needed and most of all was very clean. The two bed apartments had a massive patio area, which is a bonus as it’s a great sun trap! All the apartments have air conditioning and this was 30 euros per room per week. So if you have a 2bed apartment its 60 euros, but well worth it.
We got to meet the infamous Fanny - the cleaner, she was lovely and very friendly. My son loved Marcos the parrot - especially when he saw the parrot eat bacon and eggs for breakfast!
The staff at the waves are fantastic, especially Nikos. I have never met a more hardworking person in my life, and nothing is too much trouble for him. Nikos's mum does all the cooking and it’s fabulous and very cheap.
The only down side to our holiday was Sidari, we didn’t like it. We found it quite dirty in parts and we saw loads of furry creatures scuttling around on an evening, which was off-putting. However we will return but only because of the wave’s apartments, had these apartments been rubbish we wouldn’t return to Sidari.
