Returned from this holiday on the 15th Sept. We had read all previous reviews before going and would find it hard to disagree with the overall findings.
This is a really beautiful location in the quietest outer area of Sidari. The owners are a real plus and will do anything within their powers to help you. They really are the tops. The on site restaurant is more than adequate if you don't fancy cooking your own food and caters well for vegetarians as well as meat and fish eaters. If it is not on the menu and is within their powers they will get it for you if available for a future evening.
The apartments / studios are very clean and have all you need for a good holiday. We have read some reports stating they are tired and in need of updating. We had room number 1 which is a two bedroom apartment and is one of the original 3 and is therefore older than the new block of 16. We had no complaints whatsoever, everything works and there is air conditioning in each bedroom if required (exra charge but well worthwhile). They are exactly what you would expect of Greek apartments nothing more or less than that, in fact probably better than most.
The location is ideal and if you want the night life etc Sidari is a slow 15 minute stroll along the quiet beach road right outside the Waves. There is a Supermarket about 10 minutes walk just before that and open all day. The shops in Sidari are a bit less expensive but not a lot in it. If you want bottled water you can buy it in packs of 6 litre bottles in the Waves bar. It is a few cents more but saves lugging it back.
One point of note. If you are considering buying tours off the Rep at the morning meeting. (1) The coaches do not pick up or drop off from the Waves. You have to go into Sidari (You are not told about that until you have handed over your cash! ) (2) you can get exactly the same plus a lot more at many travel agencies in Sidari at a fraction of the cost and you pick them up at the same pick up point in Sidari anyway. Just one example, We booked a day trip to Paleokastritsa (beautiful place) at 15 euros each (and took just 5 minutes short of 2 hours to get there after 8 pickups) You can get the same trip exactly with air conditioned coach etc in Sidari for 5, yes, FIVE Euros and it goes straight there in about 40 to 45 minutes! Quite a saving on time and money if you have a larger family.
Finally, the small complex is very quiet and peaceful, we never had a problem getting sun loungers or parasols at the pool area at any time of day and no-one seems to go out at 4 in the morning to stake a claim like they do in some places.
We have already booked for 2009 and can't wait to return.

The waves appartments are set in a quiet area of sidari a 15 minute walk from the hussle and bustle of the main town which we thought was quite nice, but only 5 minutes to the nearest bars and the beach.. the accomodation itself was comfortable but very basic and could do with a good clean but the site itself was lovely as the owners and staff were so helpful and friendly, there are only 19 rooms in total so it didnt get too crowded and you get to know and chat to every one around the pool area which is nice.. we stayed for two weeks and had a great holiday in the lovely sunshine

I cannot fault The Waves in any way. What a great place to stay. Everyone is so friendly, Nikos and Christos will do anything they can for you and Fanny the cleaner is so lovely. The Waves is situated about 10 mins from the centre of Sidari with a beautiful walk by the sea. We enjoyed it so much that we cannot wait to return. It truely is a home from home and we had the best holiday ever here!

Just back from a week at The Wave Apartments in Sidari. Had an excellent time.
Drive from the airport was about 45mins. On arrival pleasant greeting from Nikos who took us to our room.
Rooms were typical Greek standard but had air conditioning for 35 euros for the week.
Bar and restaurant facilities were spot on, Nikos and Kritsos (brothers) ran the bar and restaurant, we ate there regularly.
Short walk from the main town of Sidari. Resort right on the Seafront Shore Road and has lovely sunset's every night.
Swimming pool was good, plenty of sunbeds. Balcony got sun in the morning.
Main town of Sidari had a good choice bars and restaurants, would recommend the Calypso for breakfast or dinner.
If you are booking boat trips be wary of the weather, if it is too windy they may cancel the boat trips. We booked ours through Vlasteros. Vlasteros would not refund the trip money only offer an alternative trip. Don't try to argue it out with them for a refund they will only threaten you with the police.
All in all an excellent holiday down to the fact that the Apartments were so friendly and accommodating.

We booked a last minute holiday to Corfu to catch a bit of last minute sunshine before the long, dark Scottish winter. The Wave at Sidari was the perfect holiday location.
The rooms are basic but kept immaculately clean by the lovely Fanny. She arranged flowers in the room on the first day and kept everything spotless. The other staff were great too - the brothers that run the bar were lovely and very helpful.
The apartments are ten minutes walk outside the town centre, but as far as we were concerned they are ideally situated, with a beautifully kept garden and views over the hills and sea.
You feel like you're in paradise, yet all the bustle of the bars in town centre is only ten minutes walk away. The food served in the restaurant was by far the best in Sidari - great, tasty traditional Greek food.
The food was far better than any of the Greek places in town, which focused more on gimmicks like plate smashing than the quality of the food. The lamb kleftiko, yoghurt and honey and Greek salads all come highly recommended!
The town was quiet when we were there and if you're looking for a wild week of dancing and drinking avoid the last week in October. In fact, many of the people working in the town seemed desperate for the season to end so their holiday could begin and by the end of the week most restaurants didn't actually have most of what was on their menus!
That said, everything else about the holiday was so perfect that we didn't miss nights out on the tiles too much!

The location had a stunning view right on the edge of the Ionian Sea. The family that run and own the apartments are brilliant, so I feel really bad to say that the apartments themselves are a bit tired. However, as Greek standards go, they are fine.
The Pool is a good size and is well tended & I saw them regularly cleaning and checking the water quality. The cozy family atmosphere made it so easy to make friends with the other guests. Heather & Jed from Berwick, Liz & Kerr from Paisley and Babs (Regina) & Gerry from Manchester, to name but a few, were lovely people, I never laughed so much.
The walk into Sidari Town is definitely not for unfit overweight people like us so we took Taxis and at 6euros a trip (no extras per person ) was well worth it. The main plus point for us was that we felt totally safe walking around, even in the dark.
We didn't see a policeman the whole time we were there. There are no time share touts or people pestering you on the street to buy things, just friendly laid back shopkeepers that leave you in peace to browse. Waves might not be plush but it's an easy compromise to make for such a safe, friendly and relaxing destination. Would we go back? You betcha!

Just back after 2 weeks, apart from the first 3 days of stormy weather the rest of our holiday was spot on.
The family run apartments were nice, the family were very nice and went out their way to help us, Spiros taught us the Greek whilst Niko and Chris kept us up to speed regarding the football, a good holiday enjoyed by 11 Scots. Mamas cooking was enjoyable, eating out in Sidari town was good and bad same as anywhere really.
We had a habit of keeping Niko up til well after 3 some mornings, I'm sure he was grateful, overall an enjoyable relaxing holiday, made better by the owners and the people who were there.

We have just come back from a lovely holiday in Sidari and stayed at the Waves, we didnt get off to a brilliant start when we were given a room that had two beds full of ants, but after complaining it was no trouble for us to be relocated.I would say the rooms are very basic and I personally wouldnt want to cook in them, but if your after a bed for the night and a shower to clean in then there are perfect, they do get cleaned daily and the maid is lovely!!!!
The family who run the appartments are friendly and make you feel very welcome. The walk into town is a good 10 minute stroll but is very nice and safe.
The appartments are located right onto the sea, and gives such lovely views, the pool is clean and safe and there are always sunbeds avalaible, the food is nice, espically the breakfast.
Overall, Sidari is a great holiday destination, with friendly welcoming people and such great food in the town at realy good prices.
Im already looking for deals for September!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
