" Just returned from a 4 night stay at... "

Just returned from a 4 night stay at this holiday park with my husband and two daughters aged 5 & 7.
We booked it through the £9.50 Sun holidays although we did upgrade it to the £15.00 holiday as we went peak season.

On arrival we were told we had to go to the showbar to check in which was a relatively quick and pain free experience considering there were a lot of people waiting to check in. We were given a map of where our caravan was which was highlighted and lots of other information as to where everything was.

After finding our caravan which was clearly marked and exactly where the map said it would be, we were pleasantly surprised to find great parking really close to the accomodation .
The caravan itself which was a standard model was a good size, well equiped and had 3 bedrooms. There was a good size bathroom and it was really clean. The only down side was that it had a bit of a funny smell (like at some point someone had been sick on the carpet and although it had been cleaned there was still a definate odour) however the smell did disappear when the door was left open for a while (we had also brought our own neutralising spray). The bedding/duvets and pillows were all fresh smelling and the linen was all nicely washed and pressed too.

The site was really clean and litter free as was all the facilities and pools.

There is plenty of things to do and lots of entertainment for the kids (ours loved the evening stuff) and in fairness to the staff (funstars) they do work really hard putting on different shows/disco's etc. If your not into arcades or slot machines you might not like the fact that you have to walk through quite a large area of these to get to the bars and eating places.

We found the price of drinks to be about the same as what we pay at home and as was most things other than one or two things in the convienience store.

There are a number of access points to the beaches from the site (quite steep with steps so not very good for wheelchair users or people with buggies) however some great little rock pools for exploring in once your down there.

All in all we had a lovely time and would recommend this site to anyone who was interested in going.

We went here this summer and had a lovely time. We stayed for a 4 night break in a silver caravan. Very comfortable.

I have been here before and have always found it great. We went to Holy Island - a great place to visit.

All in all we had a fab time. Highly recommend! The food on site was good and the evening entertainment was good fun.

I played bingo and won the first night- OH was watching my card for me and he failed to shout---losing me £65!

Apart from that we had a good time.

" This was an brilliant holiday with... "

This was an brilliant holiday with plenty for the kids to do and close to the beach and town. Plenty to see around Northumberland region.

The silver rated Caravan was excellent and well equipped. The only very slight concern was the swimming pool which was slightly on the small side. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, quality entrainment in the evening time.

" Site is a former Bourne Leisure site.... "

Site is a former Bourne Leisure site. A bit confusing when you drive in, because it says "Bourne Leisure" on the signage, when you're looking for a Haven/British Holidays Sign. Also, their site says "go into Berwick and follow directions to the part". There are none, and we had to phone to ask for directions.

We stayed in a 4* "Silver" Caravan, which was up to scratch. A few cigarette burns in the carpet, some drips of something spilt on the gas fire, and a broken lampshade, but nothing show-stopping. Bedding could have been a bit more comfortable.

The park itself is clean and the staff welcoming. Checking in was painless, even though they were expecting several hundred new arrivals. We did not sample the food on offer, preferring to eat out. This is no reflection on the park - just our preference.

The pool is not huge, but it was warm and not over chlorinated. Amusements were good, with equipment in good working order. Site shop is well stocked and competitively priced.

I would have given 10/10, except:

1. Caravan beds could have been more comfortable.
2. Some roads around the site are not well lit and have no proper pavements.

This is not a criticism of the park in any way. Being October is was cold and windy. Only the Gold Caravans have heating in the bedrooms. If you're going in October and want warm bedrooms, either book a Gold Caravan or take some electric heaters. Don't go complaining to the park otherwise - it's not their fault!

" We absolutely loved it here.
... "

We absolutely loved it here.

Berwick is a really nice place to come just to chill out relax and do a bit of exploring it as everything, It as a real countryside feel, but with the sea, river walks, a nice little village. There are a few shops but nothing major, it is quite a quiet place, but not too much so you would get bored. Ok for us it wasn’t quite as good as if you were abroad as it wasn’t very hot (was quite cold) but for a British break away it was perfect. Also it isn’t too far from Scotland if you wanted to head up there to maybe do bit of shopping etc.

We would definitely visit again, not sure it would be so good for kids though as there wasn’t much to do for them. All in all we had a good time.

" This is the best place in the U.K. I... "

This is the best place in the U.K. I have ever been on holiday as your accommodation is great if anything is wrong with the caravan you are staying in just let the staff know and they sort it out for you!

The entertainment is brilliant as it has something for all ages even little kids (e.g. 1-5 years) there are clubs during the day for them! Arcades, pool and even bowling for teenagers and adults! There is the cabaret at night and bingo for older people! There are swimming pools (indoors and out)!

There is also shopping markets and restraunts down in the town! This is the best holiday I’ve ever been to because the staff, accommodation and entertainment is excellent!
