Just returned from reighton sands holiday hell camp with my husband and 3 children. Never been to a haven site before and didnt know nothing about it. Got caravan keys and given a map to show us where the van was and was told its just behind the entertainment complex. The caravan that we paid £589.00 for the week for was supposed to be a deluxe.... Far from that!! it was situated right beside the tents and tourers, the carpets were filthy, and full of sand. There was old crusty baked beans under the beds, cobwebs spiders, flys and wasps were everywhere inside, and the door had a gap preventing it from closing. Still, thought it could be worse. Then opened the cupboards to get dishes to cook with to find they were unwashed and filthy as was the cutlery, and cups had coffee rings around the inside. still let it go. Then went to pay £108.00 for the 18 activity passes for the kids, once payment was taken got told everything was booked untill the tuesday!! then said activities we wanted and was told they were booked so the attendant booked some alternatives. When we turned up for the first one we got told the 2 eldest were too old to do the activity, and my youngest has autism and has no co-ordination to do things himself and needs extra help and their faces pulled as if to say "oh god cant be bothered with that!!" and was told he couldnt do it either!! throughout the whole of the holiday we found attendants on activities to be arrogant and uncaring of our sons disabilities and were no willing to help him at all. the pool was another disgrace, we went on the sataday morning and only lasted 20 mins as the pool was tiny, the que for the sgute for the kids was outside in the freezing cold and they were allowing people to play with beach ball in the pool and my little boy got knocked under the water several times off adults playing with the ball!! then the football got cancelled that my older son had looked forward to all week, the gas ran out and we waited 2hours to get it replaced after having to go back and tell the doorstaff a second time. All in all we will never return to reighton sands again the vans and staff were a disgrace, if they expect people to want to return they need to buck up their ideas!! best bit about the holiday was things we done off site like flamingoland whom are brilliant at catering for the disabled unlike reighton sands!!

I recently went on a camping break, I was very disappointed with the state of the entire camp the toilets were filthy as was the swimming pool. There was no entertainment as listed, the tents were to close together contrary to fire regulations. Overall very poor for cleanliness but on a plus point we ate in the resturant and found the food lovely and service was great.

We had a great time, it's our second time camping, first time at reighton sands and we enjoyed it. Stayed there for three nights, it was a lovely site and you don't have to be near the cliff edge. Toilets are clean and the staff are friendly. The beach is wonderful - although to get to it you have to go down a hill.
- Advice: Go to the beach, the see is wonderful and clean.

i have just returned from a nice week at reighton sands.i went with my partner and 3 children aged 17/14/11.we stayed in a superiour caravan which was clean but basic so i hate to think what a basic caravan was like. the park itself was clean and the staff helpful. The food in both the mash and barrel and chip shop was nice and a good price on comparrison to a chain pub,the bar prices were also good.the swimming pool was nice but got rather crowded especially in the mornings, the walk down to the beach was ok and the train ride back was helpful for tired legs.now the negatives the club house was too small for the amount of guests with people standing from about 7,but the entertainment was rubbish it was ok for the kids but that was about it they cancelled the panto and the quiz on sunday evening, and the outside shows were vey poor i have visited many holiday camps big and small and this was a let down for a big name like haven.but i enjoyed my holiday and would come back here in a few years

My partner and I went to reighton sands. Greeting was great and caravan lovely (privately owned but rented by the site). We had a Mon - Friday stay. The evening entertainment appauling. 2 nights of outside entertainment and 2 nights of fun stars) The ladies in the main show bar stank and we were informed they knew of the problem but it was a big problem and in order to fix it they would have to close the site!!!!!! The smell was so bad that it could be smelt in the show bar everytime the door was opened. Security staff were brilliant bringing gas within 20 mins of an evening call to them (9pm) when we ran out and were very pleasant and polite. Sort out the loos and the entertainment and we may come back

We spend 3 nights at Reighton Sands after the Whit Bank Holiday. We arrived not knowing what to expect, having read varied reviews, but were very pleasantly surprised. The site itself is very well laid out - not overcrowded like many Haven sites. The camping field is at the far end, with stunning views over the cliffs and sea. We had a 5, 11 and 14 year old who all loved it - the 5 year old was happy flying her kite and kicking a ball around the large camping field, and the other 2 enjoyed the entertainment facilities. We felt the site was very relaxing, helped by the glorious weather we enjoyed, and the fact that the site wasn't too busy. The camping field is quite exposed, and a large area is sloping, and as pitches aren't allocated I can see this causing an issue at busy times of the year. There is security on site but campers are very much left to their own devices, which is fine if you are amongst campers who respect others. The facilities were clean, and the Mash and Barrel Bar was a great spot for a drink and reasonable pub food, with safe, enclosed beer garden.

We've just stayed here over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. We arrived late Friday night and were directed to the tent area by friendly reception staff.
The camping area to pitch tents is basically on a cliff top and if it's windy - it's horrendous. There's absolutely no shelter from the elements (no trees or shrubs have been planted). We managed to pitch on the Friday evening (the wind having snapped one tent pole - hastily repaired with tape!), but none of us managed to sleep at all on Friday night. The wind was just absolutely horrendous - we saw several tents damaged and after taking our tents down on the Saturday morning as a matter of urgency (before they blew away/suffered further damage), we were going to go home.
However, we decided to upgrade to a caravan for the weekend. This only cost us a minimal amount as the reception staff (again very friendly and helpful) agreed to amalgamate my booking with another booking which had been booked jointly.
Please think very very carefully about camping here if high winds are forecast.

We took our three children to Reighton Sands Holiday Park for the Spring Bank weekend,on arrival I was horrified to see toddlers playing next to the cliff edge.Surely they should warn you about the cliffs on the website to inform families with young kids,
And this day and age surely they should be fenced off,
We have a 3yr old and would not let him any where near the cliffs.
We stayed in a tent and the safest place to pitch our tent was at the top of the hill furthest away from the cliff edge.
We struggled pitching our tent in the strong winds but finally managed it, However the winds never calmed down we had booked for three nights but ende up packing away the third night as the winds got worse unfortunately without our tent as its poles snapped before we could pack it away so it went in the camp site skip with about 6 or seven other people's tents. If i get another tent I will never go to Reighton Sands camping again

i went camping with my wife and 3 kids aged 15 13 and 3 to reighton sands, the site was poor dirty toilets and sinks wind was blowing all the tents and broke aload of tents including my tent and we saw about 8 others break in the space of us packing our tent up i did not enjoy it also my kids couldn't play out because of the very steep cliff which was less than 10 metres away so as you no a dangerous place to be the tents was to cramped no car space everyone was camping on hill no flat grounds we also came home a day earlier due to the poor quality of this site,if you have kids just to be on the safe side i advise you not to go to reighton sands as its just to dangerous with all the steep cliffs around you we also saw a boy who was running for his ball and his dad was chasing him and managed to grab his child with less than a metre of space left between the kid and the edge of the cliff
- Advice: do not go its to dangerous for campers

Stayed at the park at the begining of May. The check in was very simple and staff were very friendly. Caravan was clean. Great location as we were able to go on days out to local seasides etc. At night the caravan was very cold. Our fault really as I didn't think to take anything warm with us. The park were happy to provide extra blankets etc if we needed them though. The only negagtive thing we have to say about our break was that the breakfast was horrible. It wasn't hot, was small for the price and I had to explain to the waiter that my teabag was split so needed a new one for about 5 minutes before he actually went and got me a fresh cup. I did notice that all the staff were young teenagers and didn't notice any sort of manager. However in the evening the food looked very nice. We had planned to go there for dinner one night but the breakfast put us off.
I would definately stay here again and would recommend it to people with children.
- Advice: Take extra jumper etc for the evenings.

We have been to reighton sands many times and enjoyed our stays there until we had a complaint. We had to go to the mash barrel to see the manager. The manager was rude and unhelpful. We wrote a letter of complaint to the head office but that was just passed to a member of staff on the same park to deal. The manager magic'd up another manager who said he was a witness to our conversation and said he wasn't rude,There was no one else there!!!!! so no point in really complaining because no one is interested and they just cover for each other.
Food in the mash barrel was cold and had to send back
All other staff memebers were great.Pity their manager lets them down
