really enjoyed my holiday, great entertainment, great staff, superb caravan. have to say the staff were pleasent kind, nice to chat to, and very well mannered, - charlotte who works in the funtime shop really helped me out, and looked after me and my family well also matty and dan on the bar was able to have a chat to them, served you as quick as possible, and were also very well mannered, as for the entertainment team well.. the cabaret acts were shocking, especially tj and his act, he couldnt sing to save his life me and my family left about 3 minitues into the first song, was horrendous, and as for jodie, she seemed to have a bad attitude, which reflected of my kids and i was not impressed at all. other than that the entertainments team were ace! my kids adored chloe she was fab and also has an amazing voice!!!! :) gladly come back next year!!

been to primrose two times this yeah knew 5 of the staff before we went up there so we w knew we would see some familiar faces as soon as we got up there. but the best bit was getting to know even more of the staff !! all of the staff are all really friendly, pleasnt to talk to and all a real laugh. the caravasince in both times were really good, didnt need heating as it was really sunny. the entainment was really good but got to admit it wasnt as good as last year but i think that is due to butlins taking over and all the cahnges were made too quick. i think it will get better nmext year as more of the 'old' entainment will be brought back and they will be doing more shows and not relying on acts coming in which some of them are really bad !!! i have been going to haven i was about 6 and now i am 15 and still really enjoying it. i guess that haven is onlly what you make from it. you have to go with an open mind and try to get to know people that the best bit of holidays !!!! best funstars at primrose this year are deffoo - Micky, Little, Mark, Stu, Chloe, TJ, Hayley and Jodie

The staff seemed ok
The caravan when we got in to it was not quite what we expected For £800 for the week it was a sham ,The chairs was filthy and felt damp .
We only had one buffet for the table so for a family of 7 we was squashed at the table .
The caravan smelt of wet dog when we arrived .
There was no lock on the toilet door .
We paid for linen for the week ,wished id of squashed mine in the car to bring with me as it was definetly not worth the money at all .when i booked the holiday the man asked if i wanted linen so i said yes so he put down for three (i should of asked i know ) i thought because i had a caravan with 3 bedrooms it would mean linen for 3 rooms not one double and 2 single .
The double bed rocked from side to side when laid in the bed and springs stuck in your back .
The lights in the caravan was limited as some didnt work (you would of thought the cleaners would check the lights was all working while in the caravan cleaning)
The pull out bed was too unsafe to use as it had staples and things sharp sticking out (even maintence came out and said it would not have been safe to use until he had seen to it )
The steps leading up to the caravan finally at the end of the week collapsed (the top step screws must have worked there way undone or something just glad it was me and not my daughter that stood on it as she might of gone for a mighty fall as she isnt too steady on her feet (disabled) .
I think they need to rethink the key situation too as we only had the one to share between 4 adults .
Barrel and mash ,well the meals was slow in coming ,and some on the meals advertised was not available ,ran out of ice cream for certain puddings kids not happy.
The steaks was only small (very) .
Cutlery some was filthy we had to get some more .
The fun pools was ok apart from if you wanted to was your hair you would have to make sure you had an extra 20p in locker to because the locker would take your money hence not being able to go back to wash your hair if you havent remembered an extra 20 .
The tiling on the floor and on the sides of the baths was a bit rough so when you have been swimmimg most days your costume looks abit ragged .
And the girls have a few scratches on there legs .
I prefered the splash zone locker rooms to the other swimming baths . More room for familys .
My husband and his brother took our daughter and nephew to the target shooting activitie they was not impressed with this either as they only had 15 bullets each .Would have liked more .
The rest of the activities like the tennis courts looked runned down and needed replacing .
where the caravan was situated it was hard to get in and out if cars was parked the lay out was all wrong ,ive been in better lay outs of caravans .
Before we left the opposite caravan asked if we could move the car so he could get out because he was going home the next day .He couldnt get out his end becasue the caravan next him down had a half a fence at the side of theres .
I would of liked to have been able to get to the beach easier and not be having to walk for ages to get there really hard with a child with disabilities and hartd work ..
To me primrose valley seemed to be winding down ,i dont think i would be going again .
- Advice: check before letting out or things safe ,bed ,steps ,and change light bulbs chairs cleaned

Having had many holidays at Primrose Valley this is going to be our last.I would look to spend your very hard earned money elsewhere. This year was very poor.Poor entertainment, accommodation.it won,t get better soon too.
Having paid £750.00 for the holiday and a further £35.00 pounds for a 2011 model, what a surprise when the caravan had no central heating(wasn,t mentioned on booking). All the caravans i have rented off family and friends do have this one little luxury.
The caravan was late in being prepared.Upon arriving we are told not to go inside our caravan until 4-00pm at the earliest.Fat chance of that for us and we were kept waiting for another 15 mins.
Now the club is the biggest disapointment, all that money in site fees(7 thousand some fees) and what do we get treated to,singers that can,t sing, comedians that think dressing up in a padded costume is hilarous, and putting a rubber horses head on does not make you into Billy Connelly.
You have 2 gay gordons camping it up large this year at every possible moment on stage(yes they are Haven mates, and no we are not homophobic)But really.....
The games that they came up with this year were....wait for it....longest LLLLAAAAA and happiest table prize(even listed in the entertainments guide).....Shame really because we stood a chance with the most disapointed and unhappy table.....or even who can we fleece most,or take for the biggest ride table. Who took the five seconds to think of those games up.The prizes that awaited the happy winners.....a 5p lollypop and a certificate.WOOOOOOOOOO
There are families who send grandad to sit at an 8 person table a 5-00pm on his own until they decide to join him at 9-00pm.so unless you,re out early, you,ve no chance of getting a seat.
The bar sign read "please do not queue to be served" it should have read "PLEASE LEAVE YOUR MANNERS AT HOME,HAVE A WEEK OFF,BE RUDE,WE WILL BE.PUSH IN,STAND HERE FOR TEN MINUTES AND WE,LL SERVE ANYONE IN ANY ORDER,PLEASE DO NOT SAY TO BAR STAFF I WAS HERE TEN MINUTES BEFORE THAT MAN/WOMAN AS IT CAUSES OFFENCE....OH AND WATCH FOR THE FLYING PLASTIC GLASS WASHING TRAY THAT GETS THROWN ABOUT".
Even the 2P machines are poor this year(no keyrings in them). The toilets stink of urine in the complex.
As you can see my danders up.
We did manage to get our point across to a member of staff, and what was the answer to all our bitterness that Haven have not had a decent act on at the club all week and we have spent a fortune?.
"Yes it is poor this year....Butlins have bought us and they haven,t bothered".That was the actuall response.Yet they still took my money, and will take yours.....and to the family next to our table who did think a man wearing a horses head was side splitting funny......GET A LIFE.

just come back from a weeks holiday here.We were in a standard plus caravan as we took the dog with us. Caravan was clean and comfortable except for the double bed-( maybe we had the same caravan as babymachine!)It was the worst bed EVER! however we had taken our own bedding but when we arrived the beds had been made up and there was a spare quilt in the wardrobe so we slept on one quilt and used the other with one of our own covers! It made it bearable. The site was clean and we found all the staff polite and friendly. We didn't use many of the on site facilities as we either ate in Bridlington or Scarborough or cooked ourseves, shopping at the local Tesco in Filey. The beach was amazing and only a short walk down a small lane. It was dog friendly and very clean. You can walk with dogs right down into Filey. We booked last minute and after reading some previous reviews were a bit aprehensive about what to expect but we were pleasantly suprised and would consider returning.

My wife and I recently just returned from a weeks stay at the Primerose Valley hoilday park accompanied by our daughters and their husbands with our two grandaughters.
The atmosphere at the park was very good, the entertainment in the Jesters at night was also very good particularly for the young ones.
The caravans where more than adequate apart from a smell of stale smoke in the one my wife and myself occupied.
The access to the beach was a ten minute walk however the views on the way were fantastic.
The choices of available food at the park was excellent. The Mash & Barrel resturant had quite a variety on the menu the only downside was the waiting time after you ordered, however that was justifiablly expected.
I would also like to thank the staff for locating my video recorder I left behind in the caravan and for its safe return Thank You.
As a family we all enjoyed our time at Primerose Valley.
Thanks to all the staff at Haven.

Exellent, no complaints at all with Haven. A toss up between Primrose & Thorpepark nx yr, although we did our own cooking as we went to the local Tesco in Filey. Just one complaint was that someone nicked our 2 yr olds pram during the day in our 1st two hrs from under the caravan!!!! other that that our 8yr old and the toddler loved it!!!

Me and my boyfriend have just had our first holiday away to Primrose Valley. The site was good with everything you could possibly want to do and more.
My only concern is that if you don't drive it can be a tiring holiday. We were near the back of the site, a good 10 minute walk in either direction to the swimming pools and to the bus stop. It took us 45 minutes to find our caravan and that is a lot of dragging of a suitcase.
Other than that the buses are good that run off the site and into Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington. Although it is cheaper to get a return to the site from Filey and get the train into Scarborough.
We didn't use the pool as there were a lot of children in at the time and it looked quite small but the arcade has a wide range of things to go on and there is a large Kids Club where there is a disco (don't have kids so don't know if it is worth it)
I will definitely use the Sun Holidays again for this camp-site, I would just make sure that I was a driver before booking again.
The caravan also had central heating which was good at the October mornings can be a little chilly (luckily we had lovely weather so didn't need it the rest of the time)
