Well I always find fault but it was difficult to fault our break. The caravan was a superior caravan in the Holly Bank region on the park. It was excellently located close to all ammenities but in a quiet location amoungst privately owned caravans. The caravn was... more

Went here for a week in a prestige the accomodation was immaculate and really well looked after. The staff were really friendly and the activities on site and locally kept the kids entertained everyday. Really didn't want to leave!

Visited Blue Dolphin late September 2010 with our 2 children aged 5 and 4 months for 3 nights through the sun holidays offer. Arrived early, about 3.10pm and were told we could check straight in which was good as we didn't feel like hanging around til 4pm. Arriving at... more

Just returned from 5 nights camping, basic pitch, 2 adults, 2 kids and our dog. Could not fault anything - staff attentive and friendly - facilities spotless - I had read reviews prior to visit and was very apprehensive - the kids are asking already - when are we going back!

Upon arrival were told to just go and find our own pitch. Nightmare! The most unorganised site I have ever known. Toilet block was disgusting. Potwash facilties may have well not have been there as were bad to the point that the dishes may come out more dirty than before. Don't go! You'll regret it, honestly.

Gorgeous caravan(privately rented),clean site but dangerous park
We mainly used the caravan as a base and went off site as it was near Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington, Sewerby Hall etc so in a good central area. The pool on site was dangerously overcrowded so you could not swim anywhere. The pool is shallow everywhere so not particularly good for swimming if you are tall. The park for the toddlers was dangerous as the platform what should be at the top of the slide was missing so child could fall through. The soft play area is quite good but overcrowded. There were big children in the toddler section and no one telling them to get out. There are sports and shows day and night so plenty going on. My little ones really enjoyed the pantomimes they did with Bradley Bear in them. Their eyes were glued to the stage and they were so good. When there were activities in the morning in the show room the floor was covered in mess from the night before which should have been cleaned up so that was a let down. At night though it was noisy as we were woken up a few times. I definately prefer the quietness of Center Parcs.
Liked blue dolphin!!!
Hi went on our maiden camping voyage to Blue Dolphin. Had a offer on £8 for one nite for me,hubby and dd 5yrs!!! Went with friends......well after sorting which pitch was best...went for one nearer to play area and toilets. We pitched tents and had a thoroughly good weekend. As it was our 1st camping trip we didn't venture to the clubhouse on the nite...but did try out the kids go karts thru the day and childrens soft play area, which were really good. Next time i wouldn't eat from the site, all had something to eat from pub at lunchtime...food ok but had alot better!!! Got kids fish and chips from fish shop on site....terrible,threw them away!!!! But this didn't spoil our weekend and would not stop me going again....just would cook more ourselves!!!! All in all had good weekend!!!
ok
we stayed at the blue dolphin holiday park may half term so it was very busy we had a really good time but there was some down falls we booked a top notch caravan but it didnt look any different to the 3 star caravans and it could have been cleaned a bit better most of the faclities on site were brill except the go karts my boys are nearly 9 and 4f 6 but still wasnt big anoth to go on them so they wasnt very happy about that we didnt eat in the resturant on site so carnt comment on that drinks werent expensive at all entertanment was a bit poor outside entertaners were crap the people that were there every night did a better job went to heartbeat scarborough flmingo land robin hoods bay and whitby everyday was fab overall not a bad place to stay all 7 of us had a good time
