Me and my partner and baby son have now been to seashore 5 times and were off for our sixth time monday! I love the park itself, we always stay in a standard caravan as we take our dog and all caravans have allways been very clean and if ever we have had a fault the haven staff come out quickly and sort it out.Ideal if your taking your dog as the park is right near the beach itself. Only been in the club house once or twice and thought was okay but very busy, but the club house itself is not my thing. My only real critism of seashore is the food outlets, very expensive and the chip shop was revolting but apparently they have knocked that down and a new pizza/pasta outlet is there! Easy to get into yarmouth itself with a bus or land train or even your car or walking. I think for a caravan holiday its great,Ive never expected 5* as really for us its just a base to sleep. We cant wait to book another holiday just wish I could afford to buy one down there :-(

gorgeous camp, moved here ater leaving pontins due to how filthy it was, great reception, good prices, we were given a caravan with a sea view that was out o this world, it was more like a mobile home, loads to do on the site, a ew minute walk to the beach, staff friendly and helpul, excellent entertainment all day and night or both adults and kids would thoroughly recommend to any family.

I have been to Seashore many times...

I have been to Seashore many times through the Sun Newspaper offer. I have just arrived back from my second visit this year. I found most of the staff helpfull but one particular female member of staff on the disco was rude. My three year old asked for a particular song and when she played it she talked the whole way through it so a couple of nights later he asked her for the same song and she replied bluntly to him "I played that for you the other night" To a three year old!!! Everything was so expensive and they go on and on at your children to buy tickets and lights for the dark disco etc. they situate their amusements so you have to walk through them to get to the clubhouse and you have to walk through Mash and Barrell to swim which i find utterly ridiculous. Then during the week (perhaps because it is late) they shut one clubhouse so everyone piles into one and there are no seats! People are standing everywhere with buggys etc i dread to think what would happen if there was a fire. I also thought having to pay for swimming activities and trampolines and bouncy castle on top of what you have already paid is unfair as well! When we left i stupidly walked out and left three fridge magnets of my little boy with characters. I called as soon as i got home and they told me they were not there! I definately put them there, i suspect the ruthless cleaners just binned them and at £5 each i was well and truly cross! Not sure if I would ever go to Seashore again now i may try another park next year

Me and my family have just returned from seashore we had a 4 day break there 4-7th july it was fantastic. We love it there. The staff are so friendly, the evening entertainment is great and our caravan was awesome, we stayed right near to the swimming pool which was great. The swimming pool is fun even the splash pool and the kids loved it too. It was so fun that we are going back next year, and probably the year after it's amazing.

Just spent three nights at Seashore....

Just spent three nights at Seashore.
Never again.
Bad points:
Every bar was full of kids even "Malarkys" which was for adults only.
Mash and Barrel - overpriced and lacking in taste. The mound of coleslaw stated on the menu was approx two teaspooons worth and I've had more chips on my shoulders.
Six television screens - one showing the Olympics(volume off), the others all tuned in to the football(volume on full). Olympics every four years, Arsenal every week.
Need I say more.
Not enough tables and chairs in the Showbar.
Compare and Cabaret act left a lot to be desired.
Bar staff never asked for any i.d and many teenagers were having their drinks confiscated by security.
Burger King staff were not up to date with their hygiene proceedures, but not many teenagers are.
Good points:
Caravan was clean...ish, apart from the chicken nuggets and quorn mince that we found in the freezer compartment of the fridge.

My family and I have just returned...

Jul 2008, Miss L Tracey

My family and I have just returned from a 4 night break at Seashore and I can honestly say it was awesome!!!!
We stayed in a privately owned standard caravan which was clean and very well situated away from the club and next to the race track (very quiet). the staff were very helpful and our door was fixed within the half hour when there was an accident with a golf ball (the perks of being next to the golf course) but it did not take away the enjoyment at all.
The park is ideally situated and close to yarmouth.
My daughter is 5 and she loved the evening entertainment and the funstars, characters etc.
Ideal for families, am going back next year!!!

we have just returned from haven seashore in great yarmouth. we booked what was to be a superior caravan (superior it wasnt!) i looked at the pictures and chose which caravan i wanted when we got there it was exactly the same as a standard caravan and even though i complained the very unhelpful and miserable check in staff at the desk said it was superior and that all the caravans were different so i got no where. the caravan was full of ants and the robotic manager who wouldnt let you get a word in edgeways said there was nothing they could do as ants are a product of nature!! and she had been in touch with environmental health and this was fine!! you may live in squallor love but i dont want ants on my worktops!! burger king was crawling in flies and was filthy as was the chipshop. i own a butchers and have they never heard of a blue fly device?? im sure environmental health will be very interested in why you havent got one! the entertainment was crap and the staff were very unhelpful once they have your money they dont give a damn!!!

just got back from seashore in great...

just got back from seashore in great yarmouth.
here is my input.
the site was a very nice site as a previous reviewer said the swimming pool was very boring there was none of those little bits of fun in there apart from 2 big water slides that only worked for around 1 hour a day the rest of the time there closed.
the barrel and mash bar very nice inside and you can sit out side there too and watch the kids in the splash zone which also is very good. again though the prices for food is very expensive. the big breakfast was £5 which was not to bad and the meals are around £8 + each.
it cost £15 to wah my clothing the washer tokens are £3.50 each and the dryer was £1.50 it took me 3 tokens to get the dryer get the clothes dry and i had to use 2 washers but be careful there is no powder deispensers there so you have to goto the shop and buy a small box of powder for £4.
the night entertainment was quite good and they do love kids there - there is plenty to do for the kids. adventure play ground, football, basket ball, fencing, swimming etc.. and the sea is less than 5 min walk.
another point on leaving the site you have to be out of the van for 10:00am just thought i should throw that in too.
never had problems with ants or flea`s but the pillows they supplied are very flat so i would recommend you taking your own.
if you go i am sure you will have a great time but be warned everything in yarmouth seems to be £20 unless you goto the sea life centre which if £35 for a family ticket. but you can buy them off the site for £20 discounted rate.
have fun !!

May 2008, Mrs SEA Amess

Apart from some of the onsite facilities and the area surrounding the park, Seashore in a lovely holiday park, where the staff are pleasant, helpful and quit friendly. We stayed for one week, in a Prestige caravan, which was clen and tidy and had everything that we needed. Most of the facilities including entertainment like the funworks were good, however the onsite Mash and Barrel was very disappointing were the food was badly cooked and not very hot, 'probably cooked in a microwave oven' was an opinion from a member of the family. Also you could tell that most of the food was from a frozen bag. The surrounding areas of the park were also quite disappointind, where both great yarmouth and caister were both very rundown towns, with little entertanment and a lack of good shoping places. Great yarmouth should be renamed to Rubbish Yarmouth. Transport in the area was howver good. Altough it rained and there are some bad points about our holiday, we did enjoy it.

We booked a 3 bedroom superior plus...

Apr 2008, Miss J Day

We booked a 3 bedroom superior plus caravan for 3 nights. I was very happy with the caravan very clean and ample furniture-the only thing i would say was that the bedrooms were very small. The park itself had lots to do and the children loved it! The swimming pool was very basic and was a bit boring,a really great adventure playground-the childrens entertainment was brilliant.
The food was a bit of a let down, the chip shop was meant to be a restraunt but you had to use plastic knives and forks and there were no plates! There was a burger king inside the arcade which was empty and when we got our food it was cold. The only place to eat that i would recommend was the mash n barrel cafe-but it was overpriced and the portions were tiny.
the surroundings were pleasant and i would return but when the weather is warmer as the caravan was very cold!!
The shop was well stocked and all the staff were friendly-they do try to make alot of money out of you with loads of things to tempt the kids-but apart from that a good break.
If you have young children this is a great holiday but i wouldnt recommend it to singles or those with teenagers as it is very child orientated.

This park has to be one of Haven's...

Oct 2007, Mr P Crossdale

This park has to be one of Haven's best. If you book far in advance you can get a good deal, otherwise this park can become slightly expensive.
The food outlets on this park are superb, the location itself right on the beach is fantastic and it is located within walking distance of Great Yarmouth, but buses and land trains run between the two if you don’t feel up to the walk!
Plenty of food outlets and a choice of two clubs to visit, but drinks in these are very overpriced and the bar staff are not the quickest. The swimming pool is average but clean and the accommodation is excellent. Well worth a visit!

After reading the reviews I was quite apprehensive of going to Seashore Holiday Park, however still went as we managed to get it for £139 for 7 nights (late deal). On arriving it looked okay however I was quite surprised that there was no barriers on the entrance for cars meaning anyone could drive in!
We found where we needed to check in and got our keys no problem - no queues or anything (which I was glad about having being sat in the car for 5 hours!). Our caravan was clean and very spacious, quite modern too, the carpets were a bit dirty however that can be expected really in a caravan park. Cooking utensils supplied in the caravan were sufficient however they were not overly clean so I washed everything again before I used it.
The caravan was situated well into the park so it was a 10 minute walk from entering the park to getting to the caravan - this was probably just as well though as we were no where near either of the clubs/bars so did not have to put up with any noise! The noise that we did have to put up with during the day however was helicopters! There is a heliport very close to the site and the helicopters start flying from around 6.30am in the morning - this did not bother us as we wanted to be up to cook breakfast but don't be expecting too many lie ins!
The location of the site was okay, around a 45min/hours swift walk to Yarmouth itself. This was okay however got tired of walking it by the end of the week. During the day buses are quite regular however on a night time they are few and far between meaning if you don't want to walk a taxi is the only answer (£5). You could always take your car but this meant paying for parking (£4 a day).
Entertainment on the site... honestly could not tell you as we never went in, I did notice however that the adults only bar was never open, nor was the fish and chip shop. The convenience store too was not very convenient - it opened around 8am I think and shut at 7pm - most places I have been before have been open well longer than that!
To sum it up the site was good enough for what we wanted - somewhere to sleep and clean. I cannot say that we could have spent a full day on the caravan site as there was limited things to do, there was a swimming pool but again we did not use this so cannot comment. For £139 I could not complain, I would not like to pay the full price however as there are B&B's in the centre of Yarmouth that are the same price!!
Would I recommend the site? Yes, as long as you are not looking for a 4* holiday park!!
Thanks for reading.
