My family 2 adults and 2 children 3 and 7 went to this park for 7 nights in one of their chalets. We thought that the staff were very polite and helpful, we only had one complaint about the shower head but as soon as we told them of the problem they sent someone round, so as soon as we come back from going out it was done. Yes the beach had some stones on it but most of them were rock pools and not that much of them. The chalet was very nice it had heaters in every room and the price was not that much different to a caravan. The entertainment was not excellent but was entertaining for the children. The swimming pool was very clean and warm with lifeguards on duty. The complex was very clean and tidy and there was always a member of staff keeping it clean. So all in all I would come here again.

I looked on this site before I booked Caister and there is mixed reveiws some good, some bad. I thought i'd take a chance and book anyway and I am glad that I didn't pay any attention to the bad reveiws. I had a FANTASTIC holiday! I went with my wife and 2 Kids one age 4 the other age 9 and they loved it. We had a 7 night stay in a presige caravan. On arrival was greeted at the gate by a member of the security and was directed to the car park next to reception. Went to check in at reception and we was greeted with a smile and was offered complimentary soup and wine by a member of the mash and barrel team. This was a great first impression for us and Bradley Bear was there to greet the kids. We then checked in at the desk and again was greeted by a smile and was welcomed to the park. The guy who checked us in gave my 2 children baloons which they loved. We got checked in pretty quick and the service was great couldn't of asked for a nicer guy to check us in.
Caravan was very modern and we was close to all facility's which was great.
There is good facilitys on offer. An in door pool, crazy golf, mash n barrel grill, raiders in door play area (Kids loved) a fish & chip shop, SPAR (Very over priced but its to be expected in a seasonal resort etc. There is 2 entertainment venues but we only used Neptunes as it was better for the kids and us and close to our caravan.
ENTERTAINMENT.
Day time was great for the kids all ents was free of charge and was delivered to a high quality. My 4 year old loved messy morning.
Kids loved the evening character shows, Rory the tiger was a big hit with my 4 year old.
The entertainments team were brill! I believe they call them funstars. Very friendly and energetic and always approachable! Some nights was better than others but that was not the thought of the ents team just some of the acts were abit amature infact the funstars show was the best entertainment if being honest. Very funny and one of the best shows i've seen at a Haven resort and one of our holiday highlights.
Over all a fantastic holiday, all staff was friendly especially the funstars. Everything a caravan holiday should be.
My wife and I will be coming back to Caister for sure in the future.
- Advice: The funstars team show a must see would buy on dvd if there was one. Excellent

We booked out first ever Haven holiday and chose Caister as we love Norfolk in general. The price was very reasonable for a Monday to Friday and from the website it looked really impressive.
Arrived at 2pm and got a very warm welcome in reception, we booked a prestige caravan and werent disappointed. Was very clean, great fixtures and fittings throughout and free gas and electric which was a bonus. Took a wander around the site after unpacking and overall thought things looked okay, bingo hall looked quite shabby and dated though. Was great having direct access to the beach, so cannot fault that at all.
Come evening time, we were really looking forward to our night out. Even though the guide we were given gave us no indication of what the live act would be. Arrived at the Neptunes Palace around 9 and were asked for our passes (not a problem, good to see security doing their job). Upon entering the club it hits you how small it is and also how warm. Got a table thankfully, the prices of drinks were reasonable I guess but they try to push you to buy more than you want. Our live act was the funstars show which I have to say was dire, out of time dancing, singers were average and overall looked very amateur. Some of the female funstars actually looked very uncomfortable. Second night unfortunately was no better, during one of the funstars shoes flew off and nearly hit us as we were front row. Live act that night was a singer who must have been no more than 25 and should never been billed as the main act. Third night we purposely went out late to just catch the main act, was due to start at 10:15pm but come 10:35pm we were still waiting due to 'technical problems' - which was in fact a broken mic, they only had 2 mics and it was a comedy duo! In the meantime there was just back ground music, an funstars chasing kids around the club at high speed. Left early in the end as we thought we would give that act a miss, went to get chips in the chip shop to find it closed early! Another disappointment.
The last night was much of the same with an average singer, who asked for good luck before singing one song!!
Overall the site is really poor for activities for adults, we resorted to making sure we was out all day.
Most definately WILL NOT be going back there again, id rather pay a bit extra and go to the independent holiday park we visit.

Myself and four friends decided to visit Caister for a relaxing weekend away. Upon arrival we were escorted to a room next to reception by a security guard and the first words from the Holiday Experience Managers lips were 'Bad news, you wont be staying here tonight and you will not be getting a refund'. We were told the reason for this was because on the Terms and Conditions no Havens allow same sex parties.
We were were left completely baffled and humilated by the whole incident especially as our names and ages were on the booking - which was booked several months prior.
Upon phoning my partner who read the Terms and Conditions on the internet it only stated that it was at the Managers Descretion. He phoned head office who were very helpful and managed to get us a caravan at Wild Duck a few miles down the road.
Shame on you Haven Caister.

we have just gotten back from our week at haven caister my thoughts at first when booking our trip was great the kids wont be bored one bit so on our arrival on monday we checked in and went exploring the site the first couple days was great even though on tuesday the weather let us down with the rain we took our kids in to gt yarmouth and made the most of it on wedensday we took the kids out in the site went to the beach which was very stoney had a few hours down there and then went and hired the bikes out for an hour drove round the site i have a one year old and 3 yrs old and 8yrs old and too be quite truthful there was alot more for my eldest to do but not enough for my younger ones i think all in all there was about four activity the whole week for my 3 yrs old to do which i was very disappointed in in the evening we would take them to Neptune for the nites entertainment not entertaining at all my kids after half hour got rly bored and lost interest so we would ended up in the arcades which were a big rip off as half the machines didn't work and we ended up wasting alot of money the activity clubs charge a lot aswell the only free activity we did was the pool inflatables which again only my eldest son got to enjoy, swimming and going into raiders fun palace .. all in all my holiday sum up.. i felt it was a waste of money my kids were complaining everyday the weather was poor as it rained only had 2 good days and after 3 days i just wanted to come home some the staff was very freindly and our caravan was nice although we had to take the kettle back 3 times and our fire didnt work but it was clean and must admit we decided to cut our holiday short and came home a day early as it got to much and we was all bored because the weather rly ruined half of it if you have kids under 8 yrs i wouldnt suggest coming here to this park as there isnt enough for them to do apart from swimming and a couple activitys and make sure you take alot of money with you cos it works out very expensive .

Just returned from a fortnight at Caister. We have been returning to the site for just over 4 years. The caravan was clean and ready for us to move into when we arrived. The site is lovely and clean - staff constantly out and about making sure it stays that way.
The whole staff behind the running of the site, the reception, security & bar staff are all friendly and approachable. The Funstars have endless energy and the kids were fully entertained. Can't wait til next year - we will definitely be returning again.

What do these people who have a moan about expect from a static caravan holiday its not the Ritz and it does not claim to be. We have just spent a week there and had a lovely weeks break. The van and the park were clean and tidy. You have to realise that you don't get a brand new van someone has been in that van before you. Staff were extremely polite and exceptionally helpful how they put up with what they have to I don't know. The reception staff bent over backwards to help people and still get grief. We we will without doubt be returning next year and hopefully for many years to come.

Nice Friday afternoon journey to Norfolk, arrived at 3:00, very friendly greeters on arrival and check in staff were very friendly and helpful. Found our 'Deluxe' 3 bed caravan easily and began to unpack... oh dear! Stains on the carpet, hole in the settee which kids loved to make bigger, sticky work surfaces and table, coco pops on kitchen floor and no net curtains!? Pokey too for the six of us, wardrobes about 10" wide (seriously) and a 14" portable TV which didn't look like the LCD flatscreen with DVD that was in the brochure. Oh but - haha! You have to HIRE these! Pool was great, nice and clean and sensible Life Guards so you could have a bit of a mess about and the slide was simple but great fun. Beach was in easy walking distance and very clean, bit shingly in places and the big rocks are as slippery as hell so keeps your kids off them but was nice to spot some resident Seals which made our day. Entertainment. Oh dear. Neptunes is like walking into a sauna, no spare seats at all (went down at 7:30) so standing round for ages - asked Security if they could open Fire Exit doors to let a bit of air in but said they couldn't as the little kids would get out(?), eventually opened them for 2 minutes as a token gesture. Bar prices are steep as expected but the Bar staff were great, very friendly and some of the politest I've encountered at a Haven site. Entertainment was dull. Bingo - hmm it's 2011, 'Funstars' were crap, but the live band on Saturday night were really good. Security were a joke. Literally. PMSL - think they ruined the weekend of every 16 to 17 year old there by going to their tables and asking for I.D - this was AFTER Mum & Dad had bought the drinks and they were strutting around like they were policing the ****** 2012 Olympic Games not some Family Holiday complex. Poor teenagers - stuck in some 1980's, sweaty holiday camp with no Blue WK to drink, watching 'Funstars' jump up and down to 'We are the future of the night'. It was depressing to see all their suicidal faces. Site was reasonably clean, Adventure Playground is good, Spar Shop has a good range, Papa Johns is a decent treat, Mash & Barrel looked very nice although didn't use it and the fish and chip shop must employ the most miserable bloke in the world! It's called the JOLLY Fisherman for goodness sake! 11:00 - kicking out time, no curry sauce, no gravy, no scraps - we were quite suprised he even sold chips!
We like the Haven sites but will give this place a miss in future. :-)

Came here in June 2011 and wasn't too impressed as caravan was so so cold we slept in clothes and entertainment was totally rubbish however now in October improvements have been made, entertainment is good for kids there's more kids clubs during day and is up to date rather than before which seemed so outdated . Was in two bed chalet which was fine for 6 kids and me (there was sofa bed ) . Yes the decor isn't exactly modern or up to a high standard but I think u have to expect that with places like pontins and haven,it's alright for the week and bearable ,the kitchen has everything u need and electric is included. I also like the fact u get keys whenever u arrive instead of waiting until the check in time of 4pm , we arrived at 12am and got keys then and chalet was ready so very stress free . Security makes haven safe especially in neptunes. My only issue is that they do need a child friendly restaurant a there's just a chip shop, takeaway pizza place(expensive) and mash n barrel which is like a posh pub and not really suitable for little ones . The staff are friendly, every where is clean , drinks r pricey however we always smuggle our own in,, all in all nice holiday for under 10's I do think children over 10 would be so bored . I'd bring the basics like bread, cereal, wash up liquid from home too will save pennies .
