Despite the rain, my family had an amazing week here. we stayed in a deluxe caravan which was immaculately clean. The fun never stopped from the moment we arrived to the minute we left. Thank you to all the wonderful staff who provided excellent service throughout the park, from the receptionist, to the cleaners, to the bar staff, to the fun stars to the characters in those big suits. Also to the maintenance man who as soon as he saw my nephew with his trapped kite, ran to his rescue. How lovely everyone was.Haven should be proud of their amazing staff, and the amazing service they provide to ensure their customers are happy.Chris Royal is an amazing singer and i'm glad i got to see him live before he becomes a famous superstar.

We booked a 4 night stay at Caister (Mon 27 June - Fri 1 July 2011) It was for myself, my 4 year old son and my parents.
We stayed in a deluxe caravan which was very nice and clean (was impressed it had two toilets, I am easily pleased Lol)
It was so close to the beach, which was great.
We had two meals out at the mash and barrel which were nice but I do think there could be more to chose from on the menu.
Entertainment was fine, we had no trouble getting a table, went out every night.
One thing I would warn against is using Noble House Chinese take away, they delivered leaflets all over the site, so of course people were ordering from them, they just coud not cope with the orders, but were not open about this. WE Ordered a meal about 7pm and were told it would be half an hour, my dad went to collect it at 730, waited in shop and asked at 745 when it would be ready...and was told they would START COOKING IT soon!! When people complained the staff were very rude (I realise this is NOTHING to do with haven, but thought it useful to point out to people before they order with them) We didn't get to eat until after 9pm as it was too late to order/cook anything else.
I really really enjoyed this holiday, lovely caravan, great site and fabulous beach. I didn't use pool, but it looked fab and my family enjoyed it.
Will definitely return.

Our stay in Caister was fantastic. Caravan was clean and spacious and staff very helpful. We shall certainly be back.
Site is in good position next to beach, good paths for long walks, Caister village with in easy walking distance, bus stop convenient outside main gate with good route to Gt Yarmouth and all its attractions and shopping.

My family and I are just back after spending a great week at Caister. The accommodation was so clean and it was so ideal being so close to the beach. Fortunately, the weather was brilliant all the time we were there and the kids loved every minute.
We found the staff very friendly and our kids loved Funstar Alice who helped to make their holiday . She was always cheerful, smiling and what was noticeable, we had a disabled child with us and she made every effort to get him involved wherever possible.
The evening entertainment was also first class. We loved Party in the Dark and the Character our kids thought was fantastic. All the Funstars were good at their own thing.
We shall be back later on in the year .

We stayed in Caister Sept 2010, we have been to this camp a few times and each time we have enjoyed. The staff are very helpful, the only thing we asked to change on our last stay was our accommodation, we were a bit far from all amenities, the staff rectified this within one day and moved us closer. I have read other reviews on this site I suppose Haven can't please everybody but I found if there is anything you are unhappy with, Haven are more than happy to do their best to change that, I can't fault the staff or service, (they can't rectify a problem if they are unaware of it) Fantastic value for a family holiday, great soft play for the children, great outdoor activities for the children, restaurant, bars, swimming pool, right next to the beach. Its all there and unlike other holiday camps there are no major extra charges once your on site..!! We love it here and we are planning to go back again.
- Advice: Everything we need as a family, great value and we are planning our next visit there

Just got back after a week away in Caister.
The site was great, staff were friendly and helpful and
the Neptune Club house was fantastic. The evening entertainment was pitched well for all the family.
Some parts of the park were closed, the site owners club houses and the minor amusements, but the main complex for Haven holiday goers was brilliant.
The on-site "pub", the Mash and Barrell, was of a high standard and compares well to the Wetherspoons, Harvesters etc.
We have already booked to go back next year.

Just got back from 2 weeks caister Haven.
Weve been going to this site for 12 years and have slowly watched the decline in this once great holiday park.
Good points:
Lovely well maintained caravan
Close to beach
Staff polite and helpfull
Good bus service into town
Bad points
Beach filthy with dog poo, used nappies and general rubbish
Lack of amenities at far end near beach, bbq closed, shop closed, carasel club closed,Monte carlo amusements closed.
The seagull club is still open but the beer is expensive and the entertainment is usualy awfull unless you are a child up to 11 years old if not forget it you have to wait till late eve for some talentless act to come out and bore you for an hour.
Bingo every night is good(so my wife said)
you need passes for these places and they are vey expensive and not worth it in my opinion. The swimming pool is nice but can be overcrowded, again you need a pass. All in all i think it is a area to go to but we have booked somewhere different next year as we found we spent more time trying to get out and away from the awfull entertainment and lack of services at the top end.
Goodbye Haven fond memories of good times in the past!

We booked at very short notice in July 2010 and this was by some distance the best place we've ever taken our kids (aged 2 and 5). We've been to France, Greece, Spain, etc. where people talk about how good people are with children, but Haven at Caister was really child centred. Other visitors were ever so friendly and helful too. The accommodation was small and spotless - it was a caravan - we didn't pay for suite in a country house. The park was wonderful, the staff helpful, the activities really good. The pool and beach kept us and the children well occupied, there was so much going on we missed lots of it, but if you have young children this park is well worth considering.

MY family and I spent a long weekend in Caister Haven Holiday park, our caravan was clean and spacious and we were pleasently surprised on our arrival to find it so close to the beach, we arrived on the Friday and we didnt need to use our car at all until we packed up to leave, everything you could possibly need is all on the site and the staff are lovely, the prices are competitive and all in all we had a ball, our daughter in particular loved the pool and our dog loved the beach. I would totally recommend this to anyone looking for a great time near the beach for all the family

We should still be in our apparant prestige caravan in!! But we couldnt stand it there any more. Our caravan shouldve been ready at 2 but it wasn't ready till 2.20 we paid over £1000 for the prestige caravan expecting the best but what we got was crap! The bed linen was holey and old we had a 2 inch hole in the duvet cover! I counted 4 holes in the sheet. We had 1 pillow each that was flat we did have a spare but I wouldnt have let my dog sleep on it let alone put my head on it! The cups weren't washed or the plates the table was sticky and dirty. The entertainment hall is too hot and if you don't want to sit in there from 4.30 to watch the 7.30 'star show' you can forget having any where to sit and then you get told to get out of the way of the seated people as they have been here since 5! over the speaker system. Needless to say we left without seeing a single show ! Standing up for hours with 3 kids isn't my idea of fun! Also be aware they charge for everything even a kids slide ! The water walkers are disgusting and badly organised and they charge £6 for 5 minutes ! They charge £8 for half hour of archery! The soft play area is filthy! Dont even bother with caister haven if you want a decent holiday. Never again!
