Franklin Roosevelt Hotel

Hotel Franklin D Roosevelt is a good little hotel situated 5 mins walk from Champs Elysees. It took an age to find mind. If you go and you're on foot then walk down Champs Elysees until you get to the big pizza place on the right, turn right down the side road and then take a left on to Avenue George V. Going the other way takes you on to Rue Marbeuf (Dior, Louis Vuitton etc) approx 1 min walk. Friendly reception. We stayed at this hotel as an anniversary weekend break. We chose the hotel because of its location, within walking distance of the Champs Eleysee and all other main attractions. We booked the hotel through Relaxabroad.com as they had it on special offer. Our room was spacious for a city hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We have stayed in Paris before but in a cheaper hotel which was not as good, think its good to splash out when you are only staying for a couple of days. I have just got back from a surprise trip to Paris. The hotel staff were really pleasant, giving lots of advice of where and how to go and how to get around the city. The room was very comfortable although we did not spend much time in it. It is a nice central hotel very close to the Champs Eleysee and many other attractions. It is within walking distance of many restaurants. We walked to the Eiffel Tower after dinner (10pm) - The last lift is at 11pm. Me and my mum went for a 4 night city break. neither of us had done a city break before or been to paris. i chose this hotel becuase of location. When we arrived i was very surprised at what i saw, our rooms were very luxurious, 2 closets and a marble bathroom it was like 5 star. The staff we nothing but friendly always there to help. We stayed at this hotel in December 27-30 just before the new year. We looked at the hotel's web site and closely looked at all the picutres they provided for their room types. We ended up reserving a Superior Room for 3 nights. We ended up with room 156 that looks like a standard room as it was smaller than all the standard room pictures they show on their web site. If we would have been given a room that looked like the pictures on their web site, this would have been a great hotel which we would have come back to year after year.... more

Good value for money in this boutiaue hotel, very central. I stayed there 4 nights and the Room was perfect. I will book it again anytime!

My daughter and I recently stayed at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Hotel in Pars (from 11/12-11/14). We cannot say enough about the beauty that is Paris, and cannot say enough about this charming hotel. Though the Franklin D. Roosevelt is located on a small, non-descript side street (rue Clemont Marot), it is centrally located, not far from the Ave. de Champs Elysees, the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and a plethora of restaurants. I spent two nights at the Franklin Roosevelt. Location is excellent if you are there for shopping. Room ("supérieure") rather large for Paris standards, very good bathroom.There was even a small balcony, seating two. The hotel is very quiet and well-kept. Staff is kind and helpful. Cosy bar with good selection of drinks where you can relax in a rather British atmosphere. Plenty of good restaurants in a walking distance. I booked my reservation (for a triple room) through the hotel's own website. I received confirmation and my credit card was charged. I arrived to check in, and they didn't have the room available! The woman at the front desk--who was very unpleasant--first said she didn't have any triple rooms available, then tried to convince me that the double room she intended to give me was actually a triple. Just come back from a 4 night stay at this delightful hotel which is located in a nice quiet safe location.Ideal base for walking/metro to all the main attractions Room and marble bathroom very nice and the housekeeping kept the room up to a high standard.Reception very helpful. our break did include the full breakfast(served to 12.30) and the varied choice gave us a good start to the day This is our fourth vist to Paris and by far the nicest place we have stayed We would not hesitate to stay here again
