Spent a week at Littlesea with husband 5 year old 3 year old and 13 year old, i thought the caravan was ok we stayed in a prestige so you expect a bit more i thought it was standard.Only ad a table big enough to fit 4 and a sofa and 2 arm chairs we were in a 8 person caravan, Entertainment for the kids was not godd the kids club are very poor all my boys were bored! swimming pool could have done with some slides, The night time entertainment was repeated in a week i saw the same shows twice the best night out of the week was a panto that was showing which is not the haven reps doing it. The park was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and very quick to help you my kettle was not working and was replaced with in minutes. I would not go back to litttlesea.I booked direct with Haven i always thought Haven were suppose to be very good for Entertainment.

just wanted to say a little about haven, devon cliffs holiday park.weve just got home from a weeks stay with our kids-a 7 yr old & 4 yr old boy/girl twins(the boy is diagnosed with aspergers syndrome/high functioning autism).prior to our short notice arrival i fired off a quick "ask list" of little things that could make our arrival & stay a bit easier on him-delighted to say the staff went out of their way to ensure all our extra reqs were met without any questions!
the park grounds(& the park home)were immaculate, the facilities clean, the entertainment perfect for the younger kids(didnt stay up late enough to see the late shows!)plenty of activities on site, sports, leisure and a fab swimming complex.ample play areas & of course the stunning cliffs & clean sandy beach.
plenty of great stuff for families to do off camp, but still close enough not to have loads of driving to do.however our kids would have been perfectly happy to have stayed within the park grounds/sandy bay beach for the whole week!
all the food outlets were clean, not overly highly priced & kiddy friendly(including the pub/restaurant-"the mash & barrel").
personally i feel that haven, devon cliffs gives great value for money, are happy to consider any extra requirements on an individual basis & i can see why its known as their "flagship"park.
my family had such a good time, including our son, that we hope to return there as soon as we get a chance!

Just spent a week camping at Little sea. Toilets/showers - excellent, resort - very clean and tidy, staff - happy and pleasant, entertainment - 4 yr old enjoyed, mini archery/ fencing - 4 yr old enjoyed. Swimming pool could do with a slide. The only moan i would have is the touring pitches are over used and waterlogged. Very clean and the guys were out removing peoples left over rubbish as soon as pitches were empty. Overall a very pleasant site. :-)

We arrived at Littlesea on Saturday afternoon and noticed that the neighbours in the caravan alongside us were noisy, getting back from the club they shouted out to each other without concern for other sleeping campers.
The following night we were woken again at 1am, we heard mens voices slurring and shouting. the television and seperate music was playing loud. I noticed another man in an adjacent caravan pull his curtain back to see as well. The drinking party went on all night with the main older man calling each family member out of the van to have a go at them about some imagined slight they had shown to him. At about 5am he asked someone to go and get one of the children up so he could have a go at him.
That morning we got onto Reception as soon as they opened with a decision made that we had to move caravan.
We then noticed that the family seemed to be packing up, Reception confirmed this for us so we breathed a sigh of relief and went on to enjoy peaceful days and nights till the end of our holiday. Word to the wise though, if this ever happens to you, you are supposed to phone security (Rec) who will come and sort out any noise nuisance, as the park has zero tolerance towards this kind of unsociable behaviour. However I do wonder how anybody (even the security men)could have reasoned with this very drunk man without getting into a fight. They're supposed to patrol the park during the night.

Couldn't fault the Mash and Barell and evening entertainment but the caravan was distugusting and of poor cleanliness and when we asked for the room to be looked at and cleaned we were ignored.
The staff were ok but the security was useless.
The Mash and Barrell made out holiday but the caravan was horrible.
Dont go there EVER

just back from a Haven hol in Berwick. Family entertainment disgusting.one of the nights left me speechless. 2 girl act appear on stage doing several songs imitating singers ie Dolly parton,Susan Boyle and Amy winehouse, this is the 1 that caused the problem with a hall full of very young children we were entertained with other words from the rehab song about were she wanted to stick her ***** she the pulled a silver wrapper from pocket imitated taking drugs rubbing on her teeth and sniffing up nose she then blow powder over the kids that were sitting on the stage floor she then drank from a vodka bottle and then throw over the kids, leaving the floor wet and kids falling over as they became excited with the throwing of water. I COMPLAINED STRAIGHT AWAY the entertainment manager told his staff to tell me he was away home. when in-fact he was hiding in back office when i told the staff i wanted to see him he sent security to me. Can not fault this girl as she was more than sympathetic to the whole thing and told me to see the site manager in morning as i was getting no were. i was also informed that the floor could Not be dried why an act was on even when i pointed out the someone was going to get hurt would Haven not mind being sued for injury i was told no they would back up the staff. It seems that Haven head office are taking the customer money then could not careless about what goes on site and the filth for entertainment for young kids is ok.

Booked a week holiday in may for my 8 month old twins, myself, husband and parents in law.
We stayed in a standard plus caravan as we had our dog with us and this was the only caravan we could have.
We arrived on site and found the staff helpful and friendly. We were given our keys at 4 pm. I had provisionally hired a cot and two hire chairs, on arrival there was only one there. my father in law went and told reception that we were missing a chair which was brought up around an hour later.
We tried setting up cots in the bedrooms as these are big and would have taken up the front of the lounge area, we couldn't do this as the rooms were too small and beds were screwed to the floor. Poor. The caravan was loud, very cold. Our caravan was located next to the work complex where workers would turn up at 8 every morning. We also had constant road noise as we were located right next to the busy road where daily we seen haulage of caravans, deliveries and tractors. it was so noisy and unsafe for my dog and had to put him on a lead when the doors were open in fear of being run over.
We had shopped for fresh food on the day of arrival and had put it in the fridge, we later discovered that the majority of the food days later had been ruined due to yellow water in the freezer tray leaking all over it. we later discovered this was due to failure of maintenance and the fridge being turned off and on after stays.
I complained about this to reception who informed me a manager would contact me.. well I'm still waiting. I spoke with haven when I arrived home and they have offered me around £30 refund, this does not even cover cost of food that was wasted.
I feel very let down as I used to holiday there as a child and I was throughly disappointed. There were no welcome pack, no instructions on if there was a fire, how to use the fire and gas heating which is very poor for such a big holiday park which is very geared up for children and their parents, in my oppinion, safety comes first.
very let down and I will not be holidaying there again

Wow! I don't know where to start!
When we first got there, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and you could instantly see that the site was immaculate. The pitch was a decent size although the ground was a bit rocky so it was hard to get pegs in the ground. We had not problem with flooding even though it rained heavily all day on the first day we got there.
The toilet and shower facilities were very clean and hair dryers are provided, however there are no plugs for electrical goods and the shower kept turning off, so keeping your hand on the button is a good idea!
The site's entertainment complex was excellent for both kids and adults. There is a huge arcade which has lots of machines including old classics like dance mats and new games like guitar hero. The pool was fairly large, although wasn't overly deep. Both indoor and outdoor pools were very warm and not too crowded. Although there was not slides or wave machines, the pool kept everybody entertained for hours everyday. Our top temperature was about 28 degrees which meant most of the sun loungers were taken, but we managed to bag a couple anyway. There was at least 2 lifeguards per pool at all times and both seemed vigilant.
Food and drink on the site was good, as there was a Starbucks where you could have a coffee and a Mash and Barrel Lounge and Cafe which had great food at moderate prices. The outdoor deck at the Mash and Barrel was nice as there was options of sofa's or tables and chairs. Also, if you have little kids there's a character meet at breakfast.
Entertainment at Haven wasn't amazing, but it was better than most Holiday Park acts, and the singing was high above average! The showbar wasn't overly crowded and the atmosphere was friendly - although there were children with bubble guns everywhere.
Haven's site say it has direct access to the beach... however i wouldn't call it a beach.. more a quicksand coastline - avoid at all costs!
Overall i had a great time, met some interesting people and would definately consider returning to Littlesea!

Ive been to littlesea since i was baby, and have never dissapointed. I have already been there twice in 2010 and im going back in the near future this year. Littlesea is a big park, but not to big. its perfect for walks, it has a nature trail, up in the hills which overlooks the camp and chesil beach, you can pick berries, and mushrooms. there is also horses and ponys up there, which you can feed. If you not the kind of person, they have 2 swimming pools, a outdoor and indoor pool, they have 2 parks, which makes it safer for the younger ones, as they dont have to play with the older ones, but they can if they would like. It has a mini golf course, tennis courts and a football court, all reasonably priced. If its raining, you can always just stay in the arcade, its huge, with things for all ages, it has rides, money machines, and even a soft play area, for the younger ones. you can stay in a carvan or in a tent, the caravans, are usaully warm, but its always good to pack a hot water bottle, for after september, cause it does get a little nippy.
But to top it all off, it has fantastic staff, they have the nicest security team, who arent afraid to have a laugh. nice bar staff, pool staff, and shop staff. for the past few years they have had the most amazing funstar teams, this year they have Lewis, Charlie, Emma, Garry, Amber and Debra, they are the nicest bunch, are hilarious to watch, and create some fantastic entertainment for all ages every evening.
I would say, you looking for a all round fun family holiday, then choose littlesea, you wont be dissapointed!

I went here with my husband and six month old daughter. I specifically chose Haven because when I was a kid my mum and dad took me on many Haven holidays and it was fantastic! I have to say, I was disappointed with Littlesea. We were there four nights and, to be fair, the caravan we had was lovely and clean. The site was nice but it costs a lot in extras. The entertainment was a bit rubbish to be honest, nothing to rave about. The kids entertainers did do some songs one night that the kids could join in with. The bed in our caravan was comfy yet you could feel the springs through the mattress. Weymouth town is a good day out - we spent a couple of afternoons there. We had fantastic weather and I wonder if that helps to make the difference. The pools are a bit naff. When I used to go to Haven sites there were slides etc. but Littlesea had none, not even the idea of a slide. We took our six month old swimming and after 10 minutes of looking at the same walls we got out. The food wasn't great - it was expensive and you don't get much! We had the carvery on Thursday night and the roast potatoes weren't cooked properly (although that could have been a one off). Word of warning, if you have a vegetarian in your group then don't bother - VERY limited and no vegetarian alternative for the carvery. The Spa on site was basically filled with ornaments and overpriced toys. We wanted a pack of cards but they didn't stock them however they did stock very expensive food! It was an ok holiday but I was glad to be leaving when we did. I wouldn't go again. Oh, and unless your child is 3 years of age or over then there is nothing on the site park for them at all.

Just got back. NEVER AGAIN! Littlesea is DIRECTLY next to a major military site. Hundreds of helicopters were taking off, landing and hovering directly over the camp site at all hours of the day and night waking the grandkids who were terrified. During the night the mobile home was shaking and our ears are still hurting from the noise and air pressure of the aircraft. This went on for 3 days. It didn't end there though, the helicopters were joined by fighter planes! We packed up and left after days with no sleep. We called security several times who said there was nothing at all they could do and agreed that it was a known problem at the site. We also requested several times to see the manager and excuses were made by the reception staff who had quite clearly been left to carry the can. Many other people had enough and also went early. This site is totally UNsuitable for family.
