Just returned from wonderful holiday at Littlesea.

All the staff were so friendly and always smiling, we booked a superior caravan and it was perfectly cleaned and ready for our arrival.

Swimming pool was always clean and the kids loved the sports activities, same with the entertainment and kids club.

Food in mash and barrell was lovely, kids enjoyed the wide range of arcade machines as well as the large indoor play area.

We will definately return again, this park definately deserves the 5 star rating and we could not believe it costs the same as the other Haven 4 and 3 star parks in Weymouth.

Cannot wait to go back again!!

We took our own caravan to the tourer site at Littlesea which has hundreds of static caravans you can rent. It has a central entertainment area with restaurant/bar, Starbucks, amusement machines and theatre/disco/cabaret. All modern and clean. Obviously aimed at families with children but its a good base to see the rest of Dorset. The site is in a good position overlooking Chesil beach and the local bus to Weymouth comes right into the site. I'd go there again out of the school holidays

We have just returned from our Haven Littlesea holiday for the second time. Overall, we were very pleased with the services in general. The reception team were always polite and helpful, as were the security men. Our caravan was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of facilities for all our children, aged between 7 and 14. In particular, our children loved the fencing and Aquajets, which you had to pay £5 per session for, which, at first, we thought was a bit steep, but the children thought this was well worth it. We encountered one problem when booking a fencing session: The security guard told us to book the session at 9 o'clock in the morning at the swimming pool. At 9 o'clock sharp my children and I arrived at the pool, and were told that the fencing coach had already left. Therefore we were too late for fencing that morning. My children were very disappointed, and had to book for the next session, 2 days later. The fencing coach was actually very good. My 2 children were the only ones there, and were treated very well and given excellent instruction. One more problem we encountered during our holiday was at the Rory and Bradley kids club. Three of our children attended two sessions throughout the holiday, as we were busy doing other things. The first time they attended, the 3 male funstars were excellent, very enthusiastic and full of fun - the kids loved it. However, a few days later, they went again, and this time it was organized by 3 girls. What a let down! The girl in charge had zero enthusiasm, and even commented at the start that she wished she was back in bed! She put absolutely no effort into the session whatsoever. She played some music and let the children play musical bumps. She failed to check which of the childen were 'out' and relied on the parents for help. The next game was hide and seek. One very small child went and hid amongst the chairs in the dark, and my teenage daughter found him lost and upset. Disillusioned, my children decided they'd had enough, and went to find the indoor play area. Unfortunately it had been vandalized, and had a sign on the outside, saying it was closed! My five children all felt that the entertainment in the kids clubs were all rather young for them - how many 11 year olds want to play hide and seek? Apart from those two incidents, we had no other cause for complaint. The evening entertainment was good, although we weren't able to stay past 10 o'clock, as the children had to get to bed! We didn't go to the Mash & Barrell, so can't comment on that. The toilets at Funworks were always pristine. Unfortunately, the swimming pool was far too small for the size of the complex, and I didn't like the mixed changing rooms either - on 2 occasions 2 adults decided to have a public shower in the nude - certainly not appropriate, especially with children around! All in all, however, we did have a good holiday, and would come again to Haven in the future.

Just returned after 6 days at Littlesea and overall pleased with our stay. As mentioned in previous reviews you do have to drive through an Industrial Est to reach the park but its not one of those with towers belching out smoke its small and hardly noticable and rearly not a problem.

We found the park very clean and the staff we came across very pleasant , security staff were very noticable but by no means in your face lets face it they are there to stop the local herberts from using the facilities so being asked to show your pass from time to time is not a hassle.

We stayed in a supreior plus caravan that was clean upon arrival with the beds made as stated, there were a few signs of ware and it did look a bit tired in places but it was clean and comfortable and lets face it we are nearing the end of the season.

Using the pool was not a problem a bit busy at times but always fun. Some of the facilities were slightly different from the web site lists but only slightly.

The bus into Weymouth was very handy and is a must visit.

Having very young children i could not take full advantage of the evening entertainment however the odd time i did manage to pop in the club people did seem to be having fun so i cant comment to much on that side of things.

me and my family have just come back this weekend from our week long hol at the littlesea haven resort 28th-30th aug... and i have absolutly no problems with the site the security and staff were all very helpful and polite and had smiles on there faces...

The caravan we stayed in was only a 3 star one and it couldnt have been more clean and luxurius if u had asked for more. it was situated at a 5 min walk from all the entertainment which was good.

We ate out a few times to and i have to say that the mash and barrell restuarant is top notch no faults nice to chill out in and nice if u want a good meal with no hasell.

Starbucks was delicious to granted it was abit mre dead than usual but u have to expect that on a hol camp and it was well worth every penny.

The out door and indoor pools was good and i enjoyed the idea of having an over 18s pool to swim in if u want to get away from the may hem in the main pool.

The only fault i found was there is only one main club for the whole park to go into and if u hadnt queued up from 5.30 u wldnt get a seat as soon as doors opened at 6 it got packed.. but the entertainment was fantastic especially the monster mash night that was 5 star entertainment and had every1 up dancing and singing.

This camp caters for the kids more as its a family hol park but also has time for other ages to which was good.

So overall this camp is 5 star i would say and we go with haven every year and this camp is in the top 3 of all the sites we have visited.. and would definatly recommend a stay with this team.. thank u haven for such a lovely holiday we all had a good time.

The site itself was very clean with good amenities. The swimming pool was clean but too small for the size of the site.

The caravan however was very dissapointing, ours was a Superior Plus. It was situated right next to the dustbin area. On arrival we had various problems: -one soiled duvet, one of the fitted lamps around the seating area was hanging loose with a bulb fitted and no shade, which was dangerous as we have two young children. the oven had no shelfs inside it, so was unfit for use.

The first two problems were rectified within the hour but the maintenance team were unable to find the right size shelfs for the oven and this problem wasn't put right during our stay.

The caravan also needed a really good clean, when checking under the seating area and beds when we were looking for the kids lost toys, these areas were absolutely filthy.

This is not a five star caravan park.

just arrived back from littlesea the site is very clean the staff lovely we did not worry that this is in an industrial estate, but what we did have a problem with was our caravan was classified as superior plus, we had mould growing in the bedroom the bedrooms smelt musty all the bedding was changed but it did not change the fact that the mattresses were damp i told the accommodation manager but she could not be bothered to check and when i left a letter for the general manager she told me to leave it on the counter which i thought was rude i will never again holiday with haven when you have a complaint which is genuine they seem to be very dismissive of you i would rather book into a hotel for holidays in england from now on

If you want a five star holiday site with all the facilities then don't go here. How they got accredited 5 star status beggars belief, you will pay a kings ransom to stay there but probably if like my family return home very diappointed and disillusioned by the website, which, after returning home had to visit the website again to browse and see how wonderful they make it appear.Haven littlesea is a working park, so if like me you have the displeasure of workmen moving caravans and pitching them next to you for 2 days and laying a patio with all the mess, noise and blocking of your access don't be surprised,as when i complained i was told that it is indeed a working park and such things are normal!.For the life of me i have tried but can't find anything on their website that states this.We payed a fortune for our one and only holiday this year and Havens attitude was thus: Tough!!! Weymouth is a beautiful place and will definitely return but not at this dump.

On arrival, the fridge door fell off and the kitchen window was broken.caravan was ok other than that. staff were very polite and helpful but i am afraid the pool can only cater for a fraction of the parks holiday-makers and the first 2 nights we couldn't find a seat in either bar,so had to sit out in the cold and breezy smoking area with the kids so we could have a drink. Haven decided to pitch a new caravan next to ours and lay a patio area which took 2 days, and i don't think the workmen are told to respect residents wishes for a bit of peace and quiet.I have rated this site 2 out of 10 and the only reason littlesea has my rating of 2 is because of the very curteous security and reception staff. "The Haven experience" yeah!!it was an experience.never again.

DO NOT CAMP IN A TENT HERE

Myself and my friend with her son and my 2 boys booked for 3 nights here. When we arrived they took us to our pitch, we went past all electric pitches then through a very muddy gap in a hedge to find ourselfs at the highest point on the site, facing the sea practically on the edge of the lagoon, this is a basic pitch, I was not sure about this so asked for any other pitch and was told no . We only made 1 night as the tent broke that morning, so that up set me we went to find the wardan no one was about, so went to main reception and asked how they could help us, they said it was down to me to sort out my tent. All we wanted to do was to spend the rest of our break there but they did nothing we had no chioce but to go home

THIS CAMPSITE IS DANGEROUS

THE MANAGEMENT ARE USELESS

The location of this camp is brilliant, it is located in the lagoon, overlooking Chesil beach. We stayed in the Platinum, 2 bedroom home, which was of excellent standard and with plenty of room for the family of 4. Great location, watching the sun going down over the lagoon from your living room.

The camp is very clean, recently refurbished, with 24h security. The pool is fairly new, no special rides, but it is adequate with enough life guards.

There is a lovely hill overlooking the Chesil beach and the camp, with good walking routes and birds spotting (if you are into it) places.

Entartainment wasn't something we particularly liked, but there was always plenty of it. The main arcade, 'fun zone', is in the middle of the main entrance, so it is difficult for the kids to miss it on your way to the pool or playground.

Playground is new, but not very imaginative and our kids good bored with it quite fast.

Fish and chips shop was very good, reasonably priced with good quality fish.

Places to visit nearby:

1) Weymouth beach - with traditional amuzement rides for little and big kids

2) Portland Bill - lovely lighthouse, with great tea house and nice rocks (gets windy)

3) Portland itself - great views of the whole of Weymouth and the Chesil bank

4) Chesil beach - park on your way to Portland, there is a good educational centre for kids (Free) and the beach is 5 mins walk from the car park. Watch out, the bank is very steep, not for kids in buggies

5) Abbotsbury - good swannery and kids farm (with smuggler's barn)

6) Fossil Hunting - go to Charmouth (take B3157 then A35 for a nice scenic route) then go to the Fossil centre on the beach. Nice educational centre for kids, then fossil hunting on the beach. We found 3 fossils by just sitting down and examining the stones.

7) Dino museum in Dorchester - small but friendly

We liked our stay in Littlesea, there are always places to drive to nearby, the only thing we missed were trees. For a 5* holiday resort, we expected more private pitches with trees (been to France too many times), hence 9 out of 10.
