after reading some of the bad reviews days before our holiday to kiln park i was a little concerned, but have to say i was amazed at how lovely it was. after staying there i felt the need to write a review as it really is a good family holiday.
we stayed on the overflow field during august 2011 and as a family of six had a wonderful time...
firstly the pich was very spacious we had plenty of room even with our 26ft tent, cost £30 per night per family bargin!!!
we found the amenities to be well maintained nice hot showers 24hrs per day and fairly clean.
the park itself is immaculate has lots to offer and is definately one of the better havens.
the outdoor pool is fab its clean and warm we spent alot of time there on the many sun loungers.
the indoor pool is quite basic but is clean.
the entertainment was good enough and the club house is big.
there is access to tenbys south beach from the park about 5 mins walk via footpath, and of course kiln park has tenby to offer a beautiful seaside town we loved walking around tenby its very scenic.
cant wait to return for 2 weeks next year
i hope this review has helped :)

We went in our tourer, 2 children under 6 and 2 adults. ON entering the site we could not find the check in for tourers, went to the general check in (after having to drive back out of the site and turn around as there was nowhere to park/turn a tourer at all near general check in.) Signage is terrible for tourers, turned out the check in was separate for tourers and tents, and was situated right at the back of the site, only visable when you got there because the staff were..in a tent!
The pitches were ok, well serviced, but SO SO close to each other you could hear the man next door snoring, and the ROADS outside the caravans were REALLY annoying, busy with traffic, cars, bin men in LORRIES, and gardeners EVERY DAY 24 hours a day. The children were NOT safe at all to play even just outside the caravan on their own, or cycle anywhere.
We appreciate the entertainment complex is there to entertain people, but it is just a huge money grabbing excercise from the minute you walk in (The security guards are very vigilant with the card passes, they made us walk back 20 minutes to our caravan to locate one child's pass- for a 5 year old!!! ) It is a bit like a mini las vegas with gambling toys/ride ons etc to pay extra for, before you get to the indoor pool, (which you could smell ages before you got to it) SIZE of pool is v dissapointing, and only 1 slide with a massive queue. It is far too tiny for the amount of people in it, and only 3 showers in full view of the pool so you cannot shower off properly. Outdoor pool the same, crowded and 1 straight slide only. Do not imagine the pool facilities are anything like Haven would lead you to believe on the website/brochures.
We only sampled 1 meal (first night there- £40 for 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals and 2 glasses of wine- definately quantity over quality.) Who can afford to eat at the mash and barrel every night at that price?
The childrens entertainment was good, and well scheduled in the day, arts and crafts etc, but I think for children under 5, the whole thing is too much, too loud and dark, too crowded and too overdone, in the evenings. We struggled to hear ourselves speak to each other and could not relax at all because of the sheer amount of people squashed into the venue.
We had 2 weeks here, and would have moved on had we not had to pay in advance for the holiday. (a very expensive mistake) Thank goodness for Tenby Beach (Fabulous for families) and the surrounding area, plenty to do come rain or shine!) Best advice, go for the smaller, prettier, less expensive sites nearby to really appreciate all that Tenby has to offer. And invest in some wetsuits- cheap kids ones meant they could play in the sea/ sand all day. Free fun.
Haven was not for us. Too huge and the amount of static caravans meant the walk to the beach from our caravan was 20 minutes.
No comment on the toilet block. Just that HOW can you just have 1 block for this many people? We only used it once, and preffered to crowd up our tiny shower in the caravan, at least we did not have to suffer the hostility of the toilet block staff (we have never been to a caravan site where the staff are actually permenantly in the toilet blocks!)
Never again.

we have just returned from a week at kiln park,myself,husband,3 kids,my parents, uncle aunt and there 2kids,the park itself was very well kept and clean, the caravan was also immaculate.
the indoor pool is very small and too small to do anything other than bob about, the outdoor pool when open, which wasnt very often during our stay was ok,but the slide was never open, the entertainement was total rubbish, all the evening shows except one were cancelled, and the fun stars took over, there was no explanation as to why they had been cancelled, just a load of rubbish entertainment put on by the fun stars instead, then the only night that there was a real show, friday they closed the mash and barrel at 8 o clock for a private owners only party,so you couldnt get in upstairs,it was a total fire hassard. And you couldnt get any thing to eat if you left it after 8pm or sit and have a quiet drink, play pool or darts(which the kids enjoyed)because the mash and barrel was shut, also our way home was through there and the private locked gate,so we had to walk all the way round which took ages,we paid to be able to eat and drink in there, and also for family entertainment, the best thing was the bingo,we have been going to haven sites all over for 12 years now,and have noticed over the last few years a decline in the entertainment,it has now put us off and we will not be using haven again or recommending it to anyone,we basically paid over a thousand pounds for a caravan and a beach near by,because everything else was rubbish.

Just got back from Haven 2 days early, couldn't stomach any more of a filthy environment! Never been to Kiln Park before and will never re-visit. From the start it was a disappointment. We booked online and upgraded to have an electric camping pitch, paying £190 for 4 nights. That is the package we chose and paid for at booking! But, it appears during the booking you make and the confirmation, that Haven change this, add small print telling you that the electric is not guaranteed!! How bad is that!! When we arrived, we were told by the caretaker that this happens often, and that lots of people arrive thinking they have purchased electric pitches. Hello!!! this is clearly a case of mis-selling a product!! Showers are ancinet and stank so bad I'd leave feeling sick, toilets were gross and often covered in pooh, the stench again was sickening. Washing up facilities were filthy....all areas were swamped with water. Taps that ran too hot, cold taps that shoot out and get you soaked. Miserable staff, cleaning staff who look at you as if you are an inconvenience, security staff who have a ego and act as if you are trying to sneak into there very brilliant entertainment complex. The website is false advertising as the showerblock is nothing like the pictures shown. Hairdryers they say they provide are non existant it was a complete nightmare!!! Little kids ran wild in the road, no parents to be seen, dog pooh lined the walk ways. We only stayed 2 nights, as we were not going to waste any more money on this hell hole. Tenby beaches stunning, but if you want to go, stay in a B&B.

after just returning back from kiln park on monday the 18th of july i am happy too say as it was my second holiday with kiln this year it had to be the best family holiday we have spent there. since being there at the start of season which was still a great holiday, we realised that paying that little bit extra does give you a great experiance as we stayed in a deluxe 3 bed! great service from reception even though it was very busy they were still smiling as usual. entertainment was good but complex staff do need to look at there training! kiln park will be seeing me and my family next year or maybe a cheeky one before christmas.. :)

We Came back from Kiln Park last week, after a weeks holiday at the park and I must say we and our friends who were staying on the Touring area LOVED it! Upon arrival to the site we were given directions to reception, check-in staff were most helpful and our accommodation was very good! The caravan was not very old and very clean. Later that day we visited the WELL STOCKED Spar on site to purchase some groceries for reasonable prices. Some evenings we dined in the Mash and Barrel if we couldn't be bothered cooking in the caravan, the food there was second to none, traditional pub grub at great prices! The rest of the evening we spent in the live lounge, the kids loved the funstars and the shows they put on! There is plenty of variety, if you are not keen on the entertainment and want a quieter evening drink visit the Mash and Barrel, or sit around the kids play area, which I must say my children loved! Whilst on holiday on the park we visited the surrounding parks, eg, Manor House; owned by ANNA RYDER RICHARDSON, Folly Farm and Heatherton. We also did some of the sports and leisure activities on the park, and would definitely recommend you try these activities. Our friends who stayed on the touring area said the facilities were fantastic and the staff on the area were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make your holiday complete. Tenby town is only 15 minutes away by foot, and the beach can be accessed from the park! As soon as we got home we got on the internet and booked for next year already! Would recommend this park to anybody wanting a great time!

Having just spent a week in Butlins Minehead (which was fantastic) i was looking forward to seeing what new treats Kiln park had to offer. When we arrived it seemed quiet, but we went to our caravan which was lovely and spotless. We then went to explore the faciaties. What a come down from our exciting holiday in Butlins. The pool was tiny and one slide, which adults were not allowed to use. The life guards had the most awful attitude, you had to have an adult with every child when you wanted to go for a swim, so dont attempt it if there is only two of you and 3 kids. The entertainment was cheap and rubish. The security was way over the top as you had to show your pass card everytime you wanted to go anywhere within the complex. We were told the bar would stay open until 01:00hrs but it closed everynight by 23:30hrs, (they even put on the air conditioning to get you out of the bar). Police drove around the complex by night. i have been to many holiday parks, but i have never felt more uncomfortable anywhere as i have in this place and i blame that on the staff at the park, as they had no interest in being there and you felt like a burden when looking for help. The surrounding area of tenby is beautiful so i would recommend the area just not the park.

- Advice: Dont bother with live lounge, have a quiet drink in mash and barrel it better than watching the rubish entertainment, make the most of the beach,

We have stayed at Kiln Park twice now (May 2011 and May 2010) and have found this site to be the nicest we have ever stayed in with Haven. Site is vey cleand and well kept and the caravans we had were always very clean. I am very fussy where cleanliness is concerned and would not stay somewhere that was rank.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and children's entertainment at night was excellent and my little girl cried when she realised she had to leave to come back home! Definitely would receommend this site to anyone. 10 out of 10 from me as well!

Noticed all the reviews on this site are anti Kiln Park and oddly 5 years ago ...some of them anyway. Why! New management have turned this Park around in last year and all their good work is being undermined by out of date reviews from the old regime...No i do not work their but have had 3 fantastic stays at Kiln Park in last 6 months. We enjoyed it so much we actually purchased our own van on this clean well maintained and run site. Kiln Park has everything near golf course fantastic beachs and Tenby itself. Hire a private van if your not happy with the reviews listed here.As for touring camping ...anyone sticking a tent up in a field in winter months need physciatric help anyway so dont cry when it rains..staff and the lads at security do a great job as we have found. My advice is give Kiln a chance and ignore 5 year old petty reviews Kiln Park is brilliant!!!

just been to the park for the owners welcome back party.
the pool has been extended, now anyone over 1m can use the slide and the new outdoor water play area is open.
big investment on the pool this year.
also with regards to meals the mash and barrel has offers such as kids eat free with adults, 2meals and a bottle of wine for under £20.
remember its cheaper to book with owners
