On the whole holiday was good however, we found it very expensive. We only have one six year old boy and we were amazed at the amount of money we got through. I always thought holiday camps were a cheap and cheerful way to spend a few days so was surprised to find nothing except the splashzone was free. It really would have been cheaper to go abroad. Total cost was £1000 for 4 days!
The night time entertainment was very good for the kids, the funsters (redcoat types) we very good and certainly earn every penny.
The chalet was clean and nice when we arrived and the location right by the sea was lovely.
The food was abysmal very reminiscent the worse school dinners ever, saying that though my little boy loved it (plenty of naughty chips through lack of choice) and thought the checked PVC table clothes very novel. The food service staff left a lot to be desired in the manners department.
Overall the experience was good we would go back however I don’t think we would take the half board option.

Would not go back there if you paid me. Was very disappointed with the state of the accommodation, which was supposed to be Gold, but I can only say it was fools gold, because from the time we arrived and saw all the massive spider and cob webs on the front door, I thought I was about to step into the Adams family house.
Inside smelled old and dingy, the carpet and chairs were quite filthy, the microwave was disgusting with all old food in it, some of the utensils in the kitchen were full of grease and nasty and as for the shower and toilet, we had to buy cleaning stuff and a brush to get it to an acceptable state - not my idea of a holiday, having to clean up the place.
The beds were like camp beds and very uncomfortable, and the sofa bed in the front room was a joke, with a big dip in the middle and springs jutting into you - and that's when you could finally get it down - even the staff had trouble getting it up and down. The park itself is OK, large and spacious, but the accommodation is a joke if you like freshness and cleanliness.

I visited Hafan y Mor near Pwlhelli in May this year for the first time in 3 years, stayed in silver half board accommodation.
It had changed a lot since I last visited with a new entrance and refurbished reception, decked area, new caravan areas, new lockers in the fun pool, better entertainment. But overall it was a bit disappointing. Some buildings still looks like an army camp!
Lack of evening entertainment everything was over by 12 /1230 at night. Show bar and food outlets run down. All the staff including the fun stars looked bored. Mostly foreign staff in the shops, half board restaurant.
Accommodation was decorated in a slap dash way with a lousy shower, noisy at night, kids running and shouting. Expected to do own cleaning. Needed some paint out side.
Half board restaurant food was good, good choice, but there were wet trays, bowls, plates, missing tiles on walls decorated in slap dash way, kids, shouting, running about, banging the tables, total chaos in the evenings.
The fun pool was generally run down with missing tiles on the walls, and ceiling, steamed up windows, missing mosaics, part of the children's pool shut during the 4 day break one of the slides was shut. Leaking windows outside. The rock gardens, were over grown and full of dead flowers.
Burger King and fish and chip shop and some amusements shut during peak periods everyday probably won't be going back any time soon.

We booked this as a last minute break, it cost around £100 for two of us half board for four nights!! We weren't expecting too much for this money but we were surprised!!! The accommodation was small but clean and comfortable.
The park itself was large but in a lovely wooded setting with pleasant walks. There was a pub on site along with the usual entertainment venues. The Half Board meals were excellent, there was a huge choice every day and although some of the meals were akin to school dinners, they were good, fresh and obviously made on the premises. You could keep going back for more, and tea/coffee and juice etc were also included.
It was more than worth the money and I would thoroughly recommend it for a cheap break without the hassle of washing up!

I had heard bad reports about this holiday park but found that there was nothing at all to worry about. We went as a family (me, my husband and my four kids). The swimming pool was excellent as there were slides, rapids, wave pool, Jacuzzi and kids pool.
There was also go carts on site which were very reasonable. There were lots of parks for children all over the site so no matter where you were situated, there was never one far away. The lake side in pub was lovely food and the staff were very friendly.
Very good holiday. Be going back next season.

I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the site.
The accommodation is very clean and comfortable but a bit on the small side, with no lounge area.
The food is good but was very similar to school food, with it being cooked on a large scale.
There is plenty to do on the site, with the free swimming pool with very fun slides! There are plenty of sport and evening activities to join in with, so you can never really be bored.
It is in a well placed area with plenty to do nearby offsite.
All-in-all a good stay, with plenty to do and no dirt to worry about.

We went along to Hafan Y Mor Holiday Park in June 2005 for the first time. We all had a fabulous time, kids loved it, plenty to do and no real need to go off site. The swimming pool was main attraction for kids and evening entertainment was fabulous and kids competition. We also went to local markets in Pwllheli and Portmadog.
The caravan was privately owned and had all we could need, just like a home from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and have booked to go back in September.

I had heard bad reports about Hafan Y Mor, but me my husband and by 5 yr old daughter have just got back and we had a really good time, the pool was great but 1 day they never opened it (didn't know why) the Lakeside Inn did really nice food and wasn't expensive.
The only down side was the shops on site had nothing in them maybe because it was last week of season but I would advise to take food with you. The caravan we stayed in was privately owned and was very nice and had a lovely view and only 10 mins from the beach. I f I went again I would go in the summer and not at the end of the season, but we did have a good time

Needed a last minute holiday with partner and 6 year old daughter - excellent value for money as only paid £89 for 3 day break- booked 10 before via Haven website.
Layout of park excellent, and much larger than expected. Accommodation was very clean and seeing it was only Bronze standard was better than expected - everything you needed.
Only 5 minutes walk to beach and to pool etc. Indoor pool very good with warm pools and slides, and shops onsite a little more expensive than normal, but you pay for the convenience.
Recommendation would be to go self-catering as restaurants and bars didn’t look up to much and seemed expensive. We had a car so were able to go shopping in Pwhlelli and also bring back takeaways. Would struggle without car.
Overall, good break, although I imagine it would be a bit packed and manic in the height of the summer.

There’s good points and bad points with Hafany Mor the good points are the staff are nice and friendly the security is excellent and the facilities are second to none in the north Wales area.
The bad points are and need to be addressed solid fried eggs in the morning and very cold toast also some1 set toilets on fire so they shut venue down for day not there fault.

We went on this holiday as a family (myself, my wife and my 2 year old child) not really knowing what to expect as not having been to a holiday camp before but we wanted something cheap that our child would enjoy so we took the plunge. I have to say it was money well spent as the place was very clean, we had an apartment right next to the beach and there was plenty to do both on and off the park especially with so many attractions nearby. The night entertainment was great for the kids and the bar prices where very reasonable. The swimming pool was brilliant and we went every day as there were slides, wave pool and the water wasn’t freezing. The downsides we found where that the night entertainment was not in the most suitable bar/club and the boating lake wasn’t open as it was slightly out of season, and not everything is inclusive such as bouncy castle, go karts and trampolines etc. But all in all a cracking family holiday for £300 plus spends.

A very good short break. We stayed in a gold caravan in the Waterside area of the park and were very pleased with the standard of the accommodation, cleanliness and location.
The site provided a good entertainment programme for all ages and certainly suited our children aged 6 and 10.
We booked the holiday 2-3 weeks prior and this represented very good value for money at around £140 for the long weekend. On top of this we took the half board option. We were a little apprehensive about the quality of the meals having read other reviews before booking, but were pleasantly surprised by the quality, variety and quantity of food for evening meals. However, there is scope to improve the quality of the full English breakfast, with one of the other reviewers comment against solid fried eggs certainly proving accurate. Overall the £90 extra for the 'bolt on' half board option was good value.
The highlight of the holiday for the kids was certainly the pool, with its flumes and slides, although I would imagine in peak season it would get too busy. It was good to see high levels of lifeguard cover at typically 6-8 on duty around the pool at all times with good enforcement of safety rules on the slides.
We would certainly not hesitate in returning for another short break.
