You must try The Athinoula lovely family run place, great atmosphere, Michael, barman and all staff are great. Don't forget to visit Old Kefalos and Captain Johns restaurant for the best meal in Keflaos bar none. Cant wait to go back next year.

My wife and myself have just returned from our first visit to Kos, we had a fantastic week’s holiday and stayed at the Anthinoula hotel.
It was very clean and all the Peros family were very friendly, we really enjoyed everything about our holiday, and have already made plans with our family to return in June of 2008.
Breakfast was basic but you are already informed of this prior to booking, you can have a full English breakfast if you want to at an extra cost.
Look forward to next year to see all the family again, this message especially to Michael from Jas room 101.

It’s been four weeks since we returned from a wonderful holiday at the Athinoula in Kefalos. If you're looking for relaxation this is the place for you.
The hotel was modern, well located and absolutely spotless - the rooms are cleaned daily to a very high standard and the pool/ pool area bars etc are immaculate. We were very happy with our choice.
We stayed on a B&B basis, the breakfast was very basic but we were advised of that before we booked and knew what we would be getting. Also the hotel has recently had air conditioning fitted which you can hire on a nightly basis, we didn't need it every night but it was good to have the option, it was very reasonable too.
The hotel is a family run place and the Peros family could not have done more to make us welcome, we were so sad to leave at the end of our holiday. Was how many guests we met around the pool or in the bar had been coming to Athinoula year after year!!!! After a few days of staying there we understood why! The resort itself is quiet with a few lively pubs and plenty of nice restaurants, but the scenery in and around Kefalos is just beautiful. I would highly recommend hiring a car, bike or quad and seeing the island, there are so many beautiful beaches and villages its well worth it.
We hope to return to the Athinoula next year, we really had a great holiday there and would recommend it to people of all ages who are looking for relaxation and a little fun.

This hotel does exactly what it says on the tin. Immaculate rooms with air con (extra cost) serviced at very regular intervals. Nice clean pool.
Breakfast very basic (if you must have bacon & eggs extra charge applies). But you're in Greece. So eat Greek. Very friendly staff. All family.
I highly recommend it. So go and enjoy.

The hotel is run by the family who were friendly and helpful. We stayed b&b though we were never up in time to see the breakfast. We were advised that we hadn’t missed much.
The pool was a good size and the surrounding area was clean, which you don’t see often. The rooms were good value for the price we paid, last minute.com.
The hotel's cleanliness was next to none, however the bathroom was never dry. Tuesday evening the family prepare a bbq which was very good value. The hotel offers safety deposit box and air con at a fare rate.
Having spent two weeks in the hotel we only met the rep "Danny" twice on the 1st he did the usual spiel. On the second he was very helpful I would have to rate him as an 8.
Things to do; a must do is hire a car, we made the decision to hire through avis as this seemed the safer option as in Greece they do not cover you as fully comp, but they tell you they do, they lie. The beach is pebbly to say the least, however there are other beaches. A must do is visit the beaches at the top of the village, beautiful.
Favourite eating places were Scorpios for a proper English breakfast this is a must, English bacon, and sausages and for those like me who love a cuppa in the morning. The aussie bbq is also a must.
