What can I say!!!???
That has got to be the best holiday I have ever been on!!! Myself and 14 of my friends stayed in the Odyssey Apartments for 2 weeks in July and had a fantastic time!!
I don't know what people are saying bad things about the security guard for!!! Dimitri ( the security guard) was 100% if you treat him right, he is brilliant. We always said hello and gave him pizza and stuff when returning from the strip, and he let us have our music and all up loud all night!!
All the staff are brilliant here and we couldn't have asked for more!
The apartments are a good size and there is more than enough room around the pool.!! But they are small enough that you get to know everyone around the pool and can have a bit of banter!!
The apartments are also kept very clean and you get clean towels and things when you need them!
Overall I would definitely go back to Malia but would only go if we could stay here again!! Ohh and girls, watch out for Myles the escapades rep!! He bites ;) lol
12/10!! Brilliant time. Thanks guys,
David and the Northern Irish lads

Jun 2007, Mr Ckj Pothecary

I went to Malia for 2weeks in 2003 and went last year for a week and can honestly say it’s the best place I have ever been. Nikos the owner along with his brother Malinos are legends in my eyes. They recognized me from 3yrs previous and made me feel very welcome.
Also in 2003 we had a rep Jo from Preston who was a legend and the rep last year from Leeds was a good lass as well.
This year am fancying a change and am going to laganas(zante). I can honestly say you have to put in what you want out of your holiday you’re never in your apartment so saying they are crap is being pathetic.
You go away for the nightlife, drink and sum action if you’re lucky!

I went to Malia June 12 for one week...
10 / 10
Jun 2007, Miss J Hill

I went to Malia June 12 for one week with 5 other girlies. I read a lot of bad reviews about this hotel before I went to Malia and was dreading about what it would be like, I can definitely say It wasn’t what I expecting…It was really good.
I stayed at the Odyssey Apartments. We requested pool side view, 2nd floor and rooms next to the 3 other girlies and it is exactly what we got. The rooms were basic, a small bedroom with 2 single beds, wardrobe, a bed in the living/kitchen area and a pull out from under that, table and 4 chairs and a little balcony with 2 chairs and a table, shower and we did have a shower curtain, the water is dodgy sometimes where it goes hot then cold but its fine. There is air con if you want it.
Our room didn’t get it but the other girls did, I think they paid 40 euros for a week.
It is self catering, has a fridge, 2 hobs, you got your knifes/forks plates etc but to be honest you don’t need all the other facilities as you are never in your room, the pool bar has great food and alright priced.
The rooms were clean and were cleaned 3 times in that week. The bar staff were really nice, the older lady even went to the beach party with us and loved it! There was one security guy, he couldn’t speak English I don’t think but he was alright, not too strict only doing his job.

The pool area is great too, the pool is a good size and we always had somewhere to sunbathe, most of us had our little spot by the pool where we sunbathed every day.
Beach Party was brilliant, free bar for 2 hours and the cocktails were really strong, we played games with other hotels and had a BBQ, was a really good laugh!
The water park was alright, I thought it was bigger, but it’s okay. the rep can organise a coach for you, we paid 28 euros for coach and entrance, its quite far from the hotel, you can get it cheaper but you’d have to sort out yourself getting there and back. Too much hassle really.
The Malia Strip isn’t too far from the hotel, you’ll want to go the short way which is right, as you’re coming out from the hotel and its a few minutes walk.
Me and my girlies loved the karaoke bar Premier, Factory is alright too, a lot of the clubs play the same music really. You get a lot of good deals with the touts like free fish bowls and 3 for 1 or even 4 for 1 and free shot. Bottles were around 5 euros and other things like a vodka and coke were around 3 euros so it’s not too bad. I just got hammered in the hotel bar before I went out. Playing drinking games (Ring Of Fire).
There is a really good Kebab place for the end of the night, they do the best curry, can’t remember what it’s called but it’s at the top of the strip (Premier bar end). Try it you’ll love it.
Met loads of people, and the rep Tanya was great a real party animal, nickname for her is Action Tan. Real good rep.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and Malia, I had a great time and would go again.
Me and a few of the girls are planning on going on the Amsterdam trip in November arranged with the rep, should be brilliant and get to meet up with everyone again!

The best holiday I’ve had so far....

Feb 2007, morge

The best holiday I’ve had so far. It will be hard to beat that’s for sure.
The apartments were basic but if you are planning on staying in at all, then why are you going to Malia?
The rooms were a mess but only from us lol, but the cleaners were good as gold. We always had clean towels but I do suggest you take an extra coz the towels are small.
There’s cooking facilities but we always ate at the pool or out in town coz it’s pretty cheap.
I've read reviews from last year and some people must have gone to a completely different place than we did, coz all the staff were great.
They played some of the best tunes and if we didn’t like the music they'd change it. The food was great and reasonably priced, defo try the breakfasts...
There was also a playstation at the bar to play on for a few cents.
The security guard, George, was fine with us, even when there was 20 of us sat out side our apartments at 2am making the most noise we could, playing drinking games before we went to town.
The package deals mite be a bit pricey but you have got to do the bar crawl, beach party and definitely the booze cruise, especially if you are going with escapades.
The apartments were ideally located; the staff were great and not miserable at all. Even the old lady had a laugh with everyone, when this nutter rode a push bike into the pool dressed as an old woman....lmao it was hilarious, vids to prove!!!
As long as you are ready to party hard with no issues on where you lay you are head then defo stay here. Me and my mates had the best time ever.
Will Ayia Napa compare? We'll see!

Me and my three friends had a brilliant time in Malia. The nightlife is fantastic! The people we met were brilliant however the hotel was a huge let down!
The staff were rude and the rooms were awful! When we arrived and saw are apartment (if you could call it that!) we all wanted to switch hotels, the room was dirty, the toilette when flushed spilled out over the bathroom floor and there were holes both in the door and in the walls!
I recommend people aged 17 to 30 to go to Malia as the nightlife is fantastic however in my opinion this hotel should be shut down!

Must admit I absolutely loved Malia...

Oct 2006, Mr G Lewis

Must admit I absolutely loved Malia anyone ranging from the age of 17 - 30 would love Malia as long as you still got the raving attitude and the energy to keep up. Must admit our apartment was good not bad size and we had a good balcony viewing over the swimming pool.
The only thing was the staff they was so miserable, I read everyone else’s views on the security guards was not nice, I thought they was the friendliest people there to be honest, the bar staff was miserable the prices of drinks was expensive. Our holiday rep that took us from the air port to our hotel was not nice, only because we did not buy the rep package she decided to ignore us the whole holiday which was a complete rip off.
Overall all they was tight on toilet paper we had to get our own also clean towels. They everyone else said it is a nice distant to the strip which is always good just you got to walk down some dark ally so watch out with that girls don’t walk down there by your self.
If you’re going to Malia you will love the place as it absolutely brilliant and never mind about our hotel a holiday is how you make it and we loved it!

Malia was great.. Probably the best holiday I’ve ever had. (so far!) I think the apartments we're ok. The only problem was that you we're lucky to get hot water for a shower, seems a bit of a minor thing but after 2 weeks of cold showers it gets quite annoying, other than that they we're clean, spacious and the air-con worked a treat.

Well what a great hotel it was!!! During the 2 weeks there we met some great people and the hotel is enclosed enough that you can get to know everyone. Big pool, big bar and good food so along with the friendly bar staff (nichos is a legend) I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. It’s 5 mins (if that) walk to the strip so there’s no worries but you can still the hear the music as you sleep
The only complaint we all had was that the night security guards aren't very understanding and one was even very threatening but he got sacked after one night.
Don’t let this put you off though as this hotel is great and will add to you malia experience!!! Will visit again

Firstly we had a mint holiday! The rooms were of a good standard however, they obviously don’t know that most Brits can’t survive without a kettle for a brew to nurse that hangover though! (Which the room was lacking).

Like the other comments say, watch out for the security guard cos' that guys on a mission!! He makes more noise walking round the complex, shouting "ssshhhh" to anybody talking above a whisper.
We had a crackin' time though, and it's only a stones' throw from the main strip. Would go back anytime!

This location of this hotel is pretty much ideal. It is about a 5-10 minute walk from the strip which is far enough to ensure that the noise does not keep you up all night, but near enough to roll home to after a night out.
The apartments themselves are spacious but a little basic, i.e. two hotplates and a fridge although as previously mentioned there is no kettle or toaster etc. The rooms do have air conditioning although there is an extra charge for this. Our A/C unit was left on from the previous week so we enjoyed this perk for free! There are safety deposit boxes in most rooms. The key is available for a charge of 10 Euro’s. This is essential. I would recommend that all guests use the safety deposit boxes. Better to be safe than sorry!
The apartment was very clean upon our arrival and the cleaners visited 5 times a week. They clean the floors, bathroom etc and even did the washing up which was an unexpected bonus.
Overall the apartment was very good and we felt confident that it was secure at all times.
The pool area is well maintained and the bar area is nice. The snacks and drinks are competitively priced and are available until around 11pm each evening.
The Odyssey employs a slightly over zealous security guard called Costa, and it would seem that it is his life’s ambition to prevent young people from enjoying themselves. If you were planning on bring anyone back to your room, forget it! He stalks the apartment complex at night and deals ruthlessly with anyone trying to have fun. It will cost around 50-60 euro’s to get someone into your room.
Prostitutes are probably better value for money (joke!).
This aside the apartments are highly recommended and the resort is great. Enjoy your trip to Malia.

Jul 2005, B McGill

Well well well my holiday was AMAZING!! Apartments brill only thing no toaster or kettle (guys next door boiled water in a pot for our tea awww)!!
Pool is MEGA busy so if you want a bed get up early to put your towel out....reps were a great laugh...couldn’t believe now friendly everyone was...there was 6 of us Scots chicks and we got on with everyone!! the food at the pool bar is lush couldn’t beat the club sandwiches. At night everyone would just go for room to room the tunes would be pumping...trust me you wont be disappointed with these apartments.
Your basically a 2 min walk from the night life and the 24 hr bar what more cam you ask for. The nightlife rocks. Watch out for the head F*****S cocktails though you think you can handle it but after about 10 mins you will be getting carried home....good laugh though he he!!
not really got much else to say apart from I’m going back next year on the 25th of July for 2 wks with 4 of ma mates.... SO BRING IT ON!!
