Istayed at the nikos hotel between the 16'th sept and the 30'th sept 08 .I am 46 so by the time i got there most of the young people had gone home.In the hotel there where people far older than me.The room was very basic but ok for me.The breakfast was ok toast, jam juice, etc, but enough to fill you up.Food was served at the bar try the greek salad.Malia is about 15 min walk away there paths either of the road the lights are dim but enough to see.I hired a quard bike and i went a fire distance on it,but always where a helmet.I hired the quard from extreme on the strip but take my advice do go and get one from the are not very road worty and if you take it back there is a small greek lad in his 20' he will try and put you by saying can't speak english but this a load of rubbish he will also try and rip you off so go some where else.

>CHRIS THE BAR GUY WAS FAB!bless him, thought he was a bit moody at first but he was on the night shift with stupid kids playing him up so I dont blame him! He was NOT trying to sleep and flirt with all the girls!!
>I thought Yannis was great but the younger woman an her 2 daughters were so bloody miserable, didnt smile, chat or be friendly to guests... sometimes felt quite arkward about being in their hotel!
>our rep Lee was usless...we were all there waiting for the welcome meeting to take place, he jus sat inside. He didnt get everyone together and promote anything... I found him difficult and arkward and cocky. He hardly visited our hotel and didnt tell us about ANY excursions!
But I had a great Holiday, the walk into malia was only short, some beautiful views...lovely weather!

the hotel is an absolute joke, anyone who has left a good report,have u actually been on holiday before? the hotel is a mile from anywere and your isolated from everyone else. u have to pay taxis to go anywere which adds up when your there 4 two weeks( thank god i wasnt) the hotel is very basic, the rooms are like match boxes and feel like your in a sauna as theres no air con. i felt like i was back in the army again when i woke up for a continental breakfast, i wud rather eat a survival ration pack!
the staff are so arrogant and snotty they are very unhelpful and wudnt even lend a towel on our last day for a shower when we had to vacate the room at 10am and didnt fly out till 4am the following morning. please avoid this hotel at all cost and save your hard earned money!!

I went along with my friend of the same age 20 & 21. We arrived about 11.00pm and there were plenty of people at the 24 hour bar!!!! we instantly made friends and went to the strip. The walk isnt that far at all. some people may be over exaggerating as it is a 10-15 min walk and we didnt need to take a taxi once as there are paths of either side of the road. The owners of this hotel are brilliant Yannis being the legend as was behind the hotel bar as we arrived back at the hotel at approx 6am every night!!!! the atmosphere at this hotel is really good and everyone seemed to get on with eachother which you dont see that much anymore!!!!
It is an escapades hotel which does indicate that it is 18-30s hotel so everyone is around that age!!! definately a place to go if you are around 20!!!! The rooms are basic but you dont really use them as the weather when we went was too good to miss!!! the pool itself is great with music coming from around the whole bar and outskirts!!! the food is really cheap and good for the price!!! the drinks are a tad expensive but basically the same price as the main malia strip....the dogs bollocks cocktails are to die for and worth the 5 euros for it!!!!!
I am definately considering coming again as the holiday itself was better than i expected
and nikos is the best hotel as there are always people around to talk to!!! cheers yanniS!!!!!!

We went to maia and we had a ball! We made so many friends, the 1st person we got chattin too was CAROL!!! WAPWAP!!! Any1 who stayed between 13th and 27th will know who i mean!! Carol is sat here with me in england, she came from ireland to visit for a few days. Chris (the bar man) Carol wants to know what the hell happened to the crock??? he got kidnapped!! If found please return to wapwap snapsnap!! asap!!! thanks! We had a great time and everybody was such good laugh at this hotel. It was a holiday to remember!! Christina says hello, and have u any water or banana's? haha. Malia... we will be back... mwahahahahaaaaa!

Stayed at the Nikos Hotel with my boyfriend for 2 weeks. Loved Malia and would definately go back.
The first week we stayed round the pool and sampled some of the hotels food which was good value for money. The second week got really busy and couldn't get round the pool so had to go to the beach. The beach was about a 15 minute walk and it cost 4 euros to use the sunbeds.
Stayed B&B but only got up one morning in the whole 2 weeks, to be fair you only had a choice of toast and cereal so we didn't mind missing it.
Chris, Yannis and Hellena are really nice espeically Chris bless him think he was overwhelmed by all the female attention.
Would go back to Nikos Hotel but I think Malia is definately a girly holiday.

one mile from malia, halfmile from nice beach, dodgy road to malia, loud music around bar area all day up to 1 am! not suitable for anyone over 35 ! on the plus side, good food nice hotel. rep poor, not offered any trips exept booze trips!

Just returned from holiday and thought i would give you a complete run down of the prices. it is a 20 min walk in to the center of malia and is 7 euros each way. i hired a quad bike for 5 days for 90 euros with full insurance you can get cheaper if you get an older bike. food at the hotel veries from 3 euros for things like a hot dog to pork and lamb. water costs 1euro, other bottled drinks 3 euros, small glasses of vodka and coke are 3 euros, there are 2 drinks you have to try one is red vodka and pinnaple juice the other is the dogs bolloks for 5 euros it is also 5 euros for any cocktail at the hotel. on a night out i would recomend Not going on the pub crawl with the rep as it is 5 euros every drink if you go on your own it is BOGOF and a free shot but if you have a group of four or more as for a free fishbowl and you will recive!!! you do get pesterd by people trying to drag you in just keep an eye on ya friends been draged off, Just to let you know this is illiegal but they still do it. my fav bars were premier which has karrioki and a nice bar tender called Georgey Porgey make friendswith him and you recive lots of free shots!! another good bar is bar onethis one has a pole and a nice bar tender called barlos he is sooooooo fine also make friends and recieve free drinks!! other good bars are cyotes brill bar lots of dancing on the bar and free shots pored in to ya mouth. then you get to malibu which has 4 pole to dance on and is a good atmasfear if you get any further i will praise you!! Most meals are about 5 euros to 20 euros depending what you have i liked eating at the bull and the red lion thay have big servings in there! Ok so the hotel is very clean my room was cleaned every day and mopped every other i dont think i recived any fresh towels within the 10 days i was there but i had fun which is what matters dolly was fun on a night out but didnt c her much through the day, chis the bar man is funny and loves flertyingwith the girls, i will mentin they have internet access at the hotel which costs 1euro for 15 min. oh if you have chance have a day trip to dia island the water there is lovely lagoon waterand cost 20 euros each for the day plus 7 euros for food on the boat. so thats a run down of every thing i can think off ask dolly to show you the thunder clap song and have a look for carols inflatable crock at the pool, carol/morrine wanted abit of CROCK while she was out there lol. every one has to say crock crock, wap wap. Hope this helps you all abit more. oh watch out for the raki at the welcome meating it some strong stuff!!!!!

JUST COME BACK FROM HOLIDAY AFTER STAYING AT NIKOS WHICH WAS GREAT STAFF WAS SUPERB APART FROM CHRIS THE BARMAN WHO WANTED TO SLEEP WITH EVERY WOMEN HE COULD. THE REP WAS USLESS DOLLY. SHE WOULD GO OUT DRINKING ALL NIGHT THEN TURN UP AT NIKOS JUMP IN POOL FULLY CLOTHED THEN FALL ASLEEP ON SUNBEDS AND WAKE UP JUST BEFORE HER BOSS WOULD TURN UP. ONE DAY WHEN SHE WAS NEEDED MOST SHE WAS SEEN DRIVING AROUND MALIA WITH HER FRIENDS AND SHE DID NOT EVEN TURN UP AT THE HOTEL.

Me and my 5 friends stayed at Hotel Nikos for a week and it was fab! the rooms are basic but that's all we wanted! the rooms are clean and so is the hotel bar and pool area! Also music is played around the pool in the day which is cool! the hotel staff are great especially Yanis, Elainey and Chris the barman! you are about a 15 minute walk from the main strip but we got a taxi which was 7 euros, which isn't bad if you are splitting it between a few of you! overall my stay at this hotel was great and i will definately be coming back!!! Thumbs up for Hotel Nikos!

me and my friend went there may 6th for a week, it was ok i suppose the rooms are pretty basic, the bathrooms a joke just a shower tray so the bathroom gets flooded everytime u have a shower.
the cleaners dont clean your room everyday, plus trying to get clean towels was a joke aswell,
the bar staff are nice yanis and chris, the pool area is really nice, your about 20 min walk from the main strip, me and my mate hired a buggy and its 7 euros for a taxi.
overall the hotel was allright

we stayed in the nikos hotel in august we had an absolutely fabb time. All the staff was really friendly and made us feel welcome, i would most def go back there. We had the best rep ever TANIA.

Used the NIKOS as our base en route to the european cup final in athens . never went on holiday as such , but gotta say we would have no hesitation to go back to the nikos .(in fact just booked it for 30th may 2008) The owners are extremely friendly and helpful . Hotel itself has great pool area and drinks and snacks are reasonably priced . 10 minute walk to main strip , vast array of bars and restaurants await . Enjoyed the GALAXY bar at top of strip (not least because the polish bird who works there was gorgeous ! ) All in all anyone booking or has booked this hotel will no dobt ave a boss holiday!! THE 4 RED SCOUSERS !

Went to Malia as a couple in 2007. My 21st birthday, boyfriend is 25. Went for a week and thought that Crete was a great place. This holiday states 18-30, we were the oldest people there by the looks of things bar a group of lads around the same age. The rest of the idiots in the hotel where like a pack of 15-16 GCSE celebrating losers. I have been to both Ibiza and also Ayia Napa twice and loved the atmosphere. Everybody was really cool.... but here!!!! It was unbelievable a load of slags and tossers trying to get their ends away is not my idea of fun.
Hotel was basic but clean, room tidied every day (although the maids appeared to go through my clothes and arrange outfits on my bed for me?????!!!). Food was ok, but the other reviews about rats are scary. Bar was good but overpriced. Beautiful views, lovely pool and nice staff. The music was appalling! Every morning we had breakfast at the hotel, as soon as the fork hit the plate the music was so loud you had to shout to each other to be heard. The music was repetitive. We are not talking house or even decent dance, a load of people playing Akon etc over and over and over for 7 days solid.
The rep treated the whole group like ten year olds, forcing you to stand up and dance to the 'thunderclap' song which was so annoying it makes us feel ill just thinking about it. Go if your single and want a load of geordie slags who scream like a pack of inbreds. Don't go if you like decent music and have been to real party places. The hotel and its atmosphere is a complete clash, tone down the music and the morons and it would be great, not the right location for this kind of hotel.
