Well, I’m 15 & my mum and little...

Jun 2007, Miss A Stephens

Well, I’m 15 & my mum and little sister stayed at the hotel, we were lucky as we had the top room with a huge balcony.
The mangers were very friendly and always spoke. Although the Hotel say's it’s mainly for young couples me and my family had a great time. While I was staying there were a few boys who were driving the owners mad!
Although the rooms are basic that's all you need, all you really do in a room is sleep & shower, I must admit the beds were quite hard but you got used to it.
The swimming pool was freezing! But was clean and the sun beds were just normal laid around the pool & there was always one free.
The food around the pool was lovely! Great prices, everything!
I would recommend this hotel to a family of 4 and young couples. And me and my family would def go back there again!
10-10.

The Palace is located nicely away...

May 2007, Miss C Wright

The Palace is located nicely away from the hectic Malia night life; although this has its draw backs, because the street we walked home down was unlit and me and my friend both felt very unsafe walking home at night.
The hotel overall is good. The room was extremely clean; but I thought the towels could have been changed more frequently. When I politely asked for a fresh towel she rudely answered that they were only to be changed twice a week!
The breakfast was poor. We went down one morning that was enough! Stale bread and jam was as much as we got. Although the poolside bar served lovely, reasonable priced food.
The pool was clean and maintained well. The only problem that occurred was that later on in the holiday when we were informed we couldn't drink our own water by the poolside; she said we must purchase it from their bar - one euro per 500ml bottle, extremely overpriced.
On the whole our holiday was brilliant; Malia was great. I would definitely consider going again but I don't think I would stay at the Palace hotel.

Mar 2006, Miss T Price

Firstly anyone reading this site who’s planning to stay in the palace hotel, don’t listen to all the negative feedback!
For the people that don’t get off complaining constantly for no valid reason, this hotel is very well run and always clean and tidy, yes the rooms are basic but what you expecting its a 3 star b+b ! Its not located on a main road and definitely not located in where the action goes off, meaning no load clubbing music ect...
It’s a nice walk away, no more than 5 minutes but as some1 as already stated you pass lots of nice little bars and shops and barely notice the time you’ve been walking. The resort is fab and I don’t recommend to the boring sad lot, a lot like some of these that have posted the negative reviews!
Come on its Malia! Last time I checked it’s a 18 to 30s resort, if you’re going to moan constantly about nothing don’t take it out on the hotel. It’s an ideal hotel and I would definitely recommend it, try it, see for yourself.

Oh my god the palace hotel! Where do...

Oh my god the palace hotel! Where do I start! This place looked more like a prison than a hotel! There were spikes on the lights above the apartments. The owners were very unfriendly. Everyone that stayed at the hotel at the same time as us wanted to complain.
It states that the holiday is for lively people. What a joke! When party goers got back to the hotel in the early hours of the morning the owners would be waiting by the door to escort you back to your room! It was like living with parents!
Overall not a great hotel, would never go back to the hotel, but definitely would go back to Malia.

Palace hotel was in a quiet part of...

Sep 2005, Miss S O' Hara

Palace hotel was in a quiet part of Malia, the staff weren’t very friendly apart from the daughter. The breakfast which we only went down for once was awful,1 piece of Luncheon meat and some warm bread!!!
The pool was always clean, and there was always a sunbed to lie on. The rooms were very basic 2 single beds and a very small bathroom, also there was no air conditioning and no fridge. The food at the hotel was also over priced for what it was, a breakfast was 5 euros!!!!!
Overall we had an amazing time and would definitely go back to Malia but not this hotel.

I’ll start with the basics, me and...

Jun 2005, Miss KM Morris

I’ll start with the basics, me and my partner have just came back from Malia and we stayed in the Palace Hotel, we really enjoyed our holiday and would highly recommend this resort to anyone interested.
Yes Malia is a lively busy resort but you can get away from it if preferred, our 1st week we stayed with friends from home and we were all very pleased with the hotel when we arrived, the pool was always very clean and sunbeds were always available to those staying the hotel.
We hardly ever got up for breakfast, it was a very basic Greek breakfast but we expected that and wasn’t disappointed the only reason we didn’t get up was because the hotel served very nice food at a low price all day (even a full English cooked breakfast) the other reason was due to the fact breakfast was served 8.30 til 9.30 and we didn’t fancy it due to only being in bed a few hours before hand and having a belly full of beer!)
Anyway the rooms were just right, enough room and enough storage space what more would you want, we were the luckiest really because we stayed on the top floor and it was the only room located up there with two bedrooms with double beds in and a separate bathroom (the balcony was huge!) but our friends room was just as nice but with one less room, not that we needed our extra room we just used it for extra storage.
The hotel its self is located about a 10 minute walk away from all the action its nice though because you pass loads of shops and quite bars so you hardly notice the walk at all but most importantly you are away from all the noise at night, its on a very quite road.
Our 2nd week our friends went home and me and my partner had a very romantic week we enjoyed the quite bars and even went into Stalis (the next town), which is all sea view, very nice! So overall we had the best of both really we had the lively nightlife in the 1st week and a nice quite chilled out week for the 2nd.
We couldn’t of stayed in a better hotel the staff (mum, dad and daughter) are very friendly and talk perfect English so they were happy 2 help with any thing, nothing was 2 much trouble. Id love to go back and i give this hotel 10/10!
