My name is Conor and I loved this place. Costas was a legend, ideal location and lovely well ventilated rooms. His family are also very nice especially his sun Mike. The people in the place were lovely and it is very good if you are single as I was with a lovely laurdey. Overall I would go back and I have found a blossoming relationship with my lovely laurdey.

We were very pleased with this hotel. The rooms were basic but clean. The rooms are close to the pool so ideal for popping back to our room when we spent days round the pool. The pool and the surrounding area were always clean. There were plenty of sun loungers and tables and chairs so everyone always had somewhere to sit. The owner was very friendly and made everyone feel welcome. Although there wasn't much variety in the food served at the pool bar, what he did serve was reasonably priced as were the drinks. The restaurants and bars are only about 15 mins walk away and there is plenty to do.
We had a lovely holiday in a great place!

We were reluctant after reading the review on here about booking Sirrocco apartments but decided to go ahead because the review was two years ago. I don't think we had quite as bad experience as one of the reviews but none the less the apartment was hardly amazing by any stretch of the imagination. When we arrived at the apartment the manager was actually very welcoming giving us a free drink and given it was 4:30 in the morning that was quite nice of him. However the apartment in general was pretty average as we got to know during the week. Showers were normally cold with no hot water, the wooden fridge door kept coming off - which we had to keep adjusting and one of the beds was horrible with spikes going in your back. Obviously no air conditioning!
Me and my brother went for a week and we are aged 25/26 and felt that the apartments were more for young families or older couples as most of the clientèle were of this makeup. One thing that did really bug me about the owner was on the last night we asked if we could have a later checkout time as we were leaving until 4oclock in the morning the next day and had to be out of the room by 11 – which he said no, but we later learnt that he had let all the other guests stay longer which was completely unfair given ours was the latest return flight. Think the manager didn’t like us spending most of time away from the hotel instead of spending money in his bar.
The apartment is about ten minutes walk from the town centre which is good location from Herssonsis town centre. The town centre itself is busy and is predominately fully of Dutch people – which was no good for us because we're English and didn’t understand a word people were saying. However all the restaurants and bars spoke mostly English so that was ok. The food was average in the restaurants but was cheap with the average price being about £7 for a main meal.
Final thoughts on the hotel would be think carefully before booking if you want a lively apartment then this wouldn’t be the place for you or a luxury room this definitely isn’t.

We have this morning come back from the Sirocco apartments and whilst with all various type of accommodation in Crete it was the owner, Costa, who made our holiday, with his kindness and welcoming nature. It is well located just off the busy main road of Hersonnisos and close to the beach. I would recommend this accommodation for a relaxing friendly holiday close to local beaches and tavernas
