" Wonderful stay at El Greco "

Enjoyed a wonderful stay at El Greco. Relaxing holiday with most pleasant staff at Reception, Restaurants, Pool-deck and House-keeping. Rooms very clean and serviced daily. Facilities in rooms most adequate. Pool-side meals (wide choice) and drinks very reasonable with extremely friendly staff. Reception staff accomodating and provided a 'service with a smile'.
Location of El Greco - perfect. Virtually on the beach, close to a range of good restaurants and harbour/boat trips e.g. dolphin watching, fishing and pleasure cruises. A short pleasant walk along the coast to Amadores beach, another quiet relaxing location.
Would recommend El Greco Apartments to all, and finances permitting, would love to return for a follow-up holiday next year!

Advice: Wonderful, relaxing location with plenty to do, catering for all.

Activities: We particularly enjoyed the El Greco Cantina and the nearby Greek Restaurant, the Rhodes Palace.

Good for: Beach

" :) "

well this was by far the best holiday i have ever been on. everything was perfect about the hotel. me and my friend were only 16 when we went but we always felt safe and looked after. as soon as we arrived at the hotel we realised that the staff were very friendly and they always stopped to speak to us and see how we were doing. we didnt pay a lot for the holiday so we were very impressed when we saw the apartments. everything was perfect and very clean. everything that we needed was there and the rooms were imaculate and very big. our apartment looked over the pool, which was always clean although a bit cold!! the bar staff were very friendly and stayed on late sometimes to chat! everything was always clean around the pool and there was always room for a sunbed. the weather was late 20s everyday which is good for december. we went out every night to the centre which was reasonably priced and every one was really friendly!! we're going back in 4 weeks and are very excited!!!

" An excellent holiday!
Weather,... "

An excellent holiday!
Weather, location (sea views!), eating venues (Oscars, Arizona- fab curry, etc), fabulous cocktails at Wig Wam and Charliez
Very cosmopoliton, although feel that air conditioning/ceiling fans would make it that extra special.

Would definatley recommend this venue to all.

Thanks to the fantastic room service.

Thanks to the "El Greco"

" Excellently situated. The room for 5... "

Excellently situated. The room for 5 is terrible. A small 7x8 room with a double bed in it, meant for a single bed. Light switch and plug in between pillows. A nice size twin room and a put you up in the lounge. No air conditioning, told there was, cost 30 euros to hire a fan for 2 weeks. Its 150 euros deposit on the room on arrival, had no probs getting it back. Its clean, new towels every day. Harbour lights do a great sunday roast and a quiz every night. Once we got over the shock, we enjoyed ourselves and would go to the resort again. The rep was useless, listened but was of no help at all.

" Just returned from a week self... "

Just returned from a week self catering holiday at El Greco apartments. We booked this holiday as a late deal 2 weeks prior to departure date, we felt a little apprehensive as previos holidays have been alot more exclusive (St Lucia, Maldives) However, i can honestly say hand on heart i was pleasantly surprised by El Greco apartments. It is located 10meters from the beach, good sized rooms with all the facilities you'll need if your self catering, Pool was big, plenty of sun loungers and parasols. Plenty of bars and restaurants located around the apartments, it was definately the best location wise. Weather was amazing 33-38 degrees all week, not one drop of rain. All staff are friendly and can speak English, lots of trips to do if you fancy getting out and about. VIP SUPERCAT Cruise was fantastic, not really for kids.(However, no champagne reception as advertised by rep!! little disappointing) Great holiday would definately consider returning to Puerto Rico in the future.

" I have just returned back from the El... "

I have just returned back from the El Greco and it was AMAZING! Myself and my partner took our 2 year old and the El Greco has got to be the best situated in Puerto Rico (LOADS of hills ~not good with a buggy!) as its situated on the road straight across from the beach. Agree with the comment from Mr Baker the ANfi timeshare people are a NIGHTMARE! mithering you, but they got the message after a couple of days.

Only thing i would say is avoid the local restaraunts on a regular basis if you eat out alot at night, that are close to El Greco, ~fabulous food but very expensive. We only found out that the town centre was literally a 10 minute walk away at begining of our 2nd week and what a difference in food prices (70+ Euros near El Greco and 26Euros in town for 2 adults, a child and a bottle of wine! ~ and v v nice food ~ would recommend CAFE CENTRAL, english owned and they do the most amazing Lasagne)

El Greco is 11/10 for cleanliness, they really do scrub your room and do all your washing up! ! Fresh towels and sheets everyday. The pool is beautiful and has a shallow part about 6 inch deep all the way round for the little ones.

Overall the best accomodation I have stayed at, and having stayed at 5* resorts around the world i would highly recommend the El Greco.

" Just returned from holiday and can... "

Just returned from holiday and can honestly say what a great place. Perfectly situated in the lovely puerto rico harbour, 10 metres from the beach, and lots to do. Plenty of bars and restaraunts are near-by, most of them very reasonably priced, serving great food, with even better service!! The apartments themselves were kept meticulously clean, with the maid even doing the washing up!! Getting out and about on the island I would reccommend hiring a car as the excursions offered by first choice were very pricey. We saved a lot by cutting out the middle man, and had more fun to boot. The only gripe I would have are the P.R's in the main shopping area. Very pushy. And avoid the Anfi reps like the plague, unless you like very expensive timeshares! Overall though, I would thoroughly reccommend the El Greco for location and value. 9/10.

" We’ve been going to the El Greco... "

We’ve been going to the El Greco apts for 2 years now. Excellent location couldn't be any closer to the beach. Brilliant night life and shops close by.

My daughters been going to the Vistamar apts now for 2 years (which is next door to the el Greco) and she thinks the same . However there's not a lot of things for young children to do apart from in the main shopping centre e.g. trampolines, golf, go carts, tennis.

" I total loved the apartments, there... "

I total loved the apartments, there was a restaurant joined to the hotel and the food was fantastic, the cleaners were brilliant and everything about it was good! quiet at night, but 5 minute walk up the road there's a Euro centre with restaurants, shops, bars and clubs! Shops just next door to the hotel. But the only thing that let it down was First Choice, they didn't tell us anything, were never around and always after your money, big let down!!!

" This was the third time we had stayed... "

This was the third time we had stayed at this resort, the hotel is really clean and the staff very friendly, only down side is that you have to pay 100 Euros deposit on check in which we weren’t aware of the 1st time we stayed.

However this wasn’t a problem the 2nd and 3rd time but it was for others who were checking in. The restaurant onsite is more pricey then the places along the beach front, however it is worth it, the food is great and crepes are cooked in front of you which is brill to watch.

The staff are fantastic. Prices vary so look for the best deal, get to the pool early to get the best spot and enjoy the lazy atmosphere.

" We went on a late deal and were so... "

We went on a late deal and were so surprised when the coach pulled up outside the El Greco apartments.

They are very spacious and we got two double bedrooms with a good sized bathroom and a balcony overlooking the sea.

There are two pools, the big one is heated with a pool bar, but if you’re looking for a bit a peace and quiet try and find the other pool, which is in the middle of the suites in the gardens.

The restaurants around it are a bit more expensive than the ones in the centre although you do get a discount.

It takes less than 30 seconds to get to the beach!

Overall we cannot fault this accommodation, it is one of the best holidays we have been on!

Would recommend it to anyone!

" If you are going to stay anywhere in... "

If you are going to stay anywhere in Puerto Rico with children, then stay here. Excellent is all that we can say.

Choose the bungalows and you will have your own private courtyard and swimming pool that you share with only 9 other families and the kids make friends very quickly.

Separate entrance out onto the quiet road and straight across to the beach. What more can you ask for. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay but the bungalows do need air con.

" The El Greco is probably the best... "

The El Greco is probably the best located Hotel in Puerto Rico, we went from Nov27 till Dec 4th and the temps were around 28 degrees with the hottest day reaching 32 degrees on Dec 1st.

The hotel is right opposite the main beach but Amadores beach is only a 15 min walk and is the best beach on the island. It was busy even at this time of year but no lager louts or yobs just a mix of Swedish, Danish, Dutch and German with a few English visitors.

The rooms were nice although we did share them with the odd cockroach and noisy crickets.

Everyone here was laidback and quiet but if you took time to talk to them they are all very friendly and helpful. I have stayed in this resort before and would say that this is the best hotel to stay in if you don’t want to be walking up and down hundreds of steps every day.

For meals we ventured up to the main commercial centre (about 10 mins walk) and the pick of those restaurants has to be the El Torro, friendly waiters who are polite and even like to have a laugh and a joke with you, also the Chinese restaurants were all good.

The only thing that annoyed me were the pushy PR ticket touts who didn’t like to take no for an answer, we even avoided certain areas of the resort to get away from them.

Overall I give this holiday 8 out of 10, I may return one day.

" Just came back from el greco with my... "

Just came back from el greco with my boyfriend. It was amazing. The best apartments I have ever stayed in. Very good for the money we paid! I would say this was the best location out of all the apartments we seen when we were there!

Its right by the beach and every room over looks the pool and/or beach. We had a two bedroom apartment and it was very spacious and very clean. The cleaners came everyday with fresh towels, etc. I would advise hiring a fan for 20 euros for the week, as there is no air con in the apartments.

The area was nice and relaxed, with some lovely restaurants and cocktail bars over looking the harbour. If you like it a bit livelier then its only about a 10 min walk, or 2.50 Euro taxi ride to lots of bars, restaurants and a big shopping centre. But the pr's did get quite annoying up there!

Overall I had a really good time, and came back with an amazing tan! I would definitely recommend these apartments to all ages/families/couples. I would go there again in the future!
