" Looking for a reasonably priced... "

Looking for a reasonably priced family break in nice surroundings. We chose Haven because we had never been to the west coast of Scotland, and I can thoroughly recommend it.
Accommodation was basic but warm and dry. Food the same! Good choice from buffet menu, and even something for picky kids. My 4 and 10 year olds had the time of their life in the nightclub, watching the shows and running around in the parades. Even made new friends!
For mum and dad, the chance of a reasonably priced drink, and entertainment thrown in. Lots to do off the camp during the day - especially recommend the secret forest in Largs - kept the boys entranced even on a rainy day.
Recommended fun for children, and enough to keep parents happy too.

The holiday was over priced and it was catered for 5yrs to 9yrs old nothing for teenagers to do also the cost of the holidays was expensive and you had to pay for entertainment on top of that cost. We had to go outside the holiday camp for things to do and the cost of taxis were dear. The holiday camp arranged transport to other holiday sites that had rides for older people so it states what they though of there camp.

We stayed in our own van in the touring section of Craig Tara so I can't comment on the accommodation but the facilities for pourers was basic but clean kept.

We paid one night to have a 3 course meal in the half board dining room and it was chaos. Grab a table where you can, fight your way through the children running everywhere (and yes we had our kids with us but they were under control) and get your meal. IF you go eat your meal backwards as the sweets vanish very quickly, the selection of mains dwindles almost as quick but the urn of soup is refilled non-stop. The on-site shop is basic but not overpriced and there is a burger king with normal prices.

The entertainment was excellent but as usual you have to get to the rooms before the seats fill up, children’s entertainment is great for younger kids but not a lot of teens. And the whole place is stuffed with electronic bandits so be prepared for a lot of "mum can we have some money please".
the swimming pool was excellent and included in the price (lessons are extra) and right next door there is a farm centre (extra to go in but enough in to fill most of a day including animals, quad bikes rides (extra cost), 2 large climbing frames and free trampolines for the kids. <br>

We booked this hotel as it was the cheapest but the food was great and no-one was ill. There were plenty of activities on the go all day and a kids club with a lovely lady. The animation team were great too, very friendly and cheeky, just what you want on a summer holiday, a bit of fun.
Evening entertainment was okay, preferred the games to shows, but disco for kid’s early and adult dances at the end of the night were fantastic.
Only one problem with this holiday was the all inclusive bar stopped at 10pm but get some duty free on the way and you're sorted.
Going back again August 2006 same hotel, so what does that say!
