Elysees Mermoz Hotel

Stayed with my fiancé for three nights. Amazing location on the Right Bank, you can walk to all the major places, and yet the hotel is located on a small, cute street. We had a tiny suite. Clean, a little dark (but that added to the fall romance) and a great bathroom. For the price, it's a find. And yes, the staff is charming and pleasant too!

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Elysees Mermoz in Paris. Was very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. Very quite. Great location right off the Champs-Elysee, near the Metro 1 stop at FDR. Room was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help us. I would highly recommend staying here.

After reading the negative review from a fellow American I felt the need to add my review. My husband and I stayed in this hotel in 2002 and found our room very spacious and beautifully decorated. The room even had a seperate hallway off the bedroom for the bathroom and w/c which made it convenient to bathe without disturbing my husband while he slept. The balcony overlooked the small street that ran in front of the hotel and we could see the eiffel tower in the distance. The staff was especially helpful as well. We will be returning to Paris early 2006 and as soon as they have their rates available, we'll be reserving a room again. As a matter of fact, I have friends who will be making their first trip to Paris late next year and based on my reviews of the hotel, they'll be staying there as well.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nites during my visit in Jan'05. The room is fine but the location is not as good. For the price I paid euro 137 per nite, I don't think it's worth to stay.

Friendly and helpful people at the reception, cosy rooms and I just loved the bread and juice for breakfast. Also close to the main boulevard Champs Elysees with great shops, restaurants, cinema etc. I'll be back!!

Stayed here for a business meeting before heading out for a vacation in the Loire Valley. I've stayed at several 3 star hotels around Paris, and I'd rate it above the others for the incredible friendliness of the staff and their helpfulness. Like other 3 star hotels in Paris, it is small, with small rooms. It was clean, bright and recently renovated. As for the fabric on the walls mentioned in a previous post, it's quite standard in France, even the 5 star chateau where we stayed in the Loire Valley. .

I was going to write an excellent review for this hotel until I read another review "kitschy, but ok". It almost made me forgot what I was going to write. Always funny, the desperately low level of cultural knowledge displayed by some Americans visiting Paris.. Back to the hotel, the location is excellent with Champs Elysees within a 1 min walk, and in a very nice small street like many of the small streets in Paris.. Paris' reputation of a beautiful city even stems from the coziness of its small streets. This one is no exception and the entrance of the hotel is very pleasant with small trees in pot adorning the entrance on each side. The rooms are exquisite with Provence inspired wallpaper as the web site shows extremely well. I was 2 years ago at a look alike hotel behind the Louvre at double the price (since it had 4 stars..). Since I discovered this hotel, I have always come back to Elysees Mermoz..

Bruce and I stayed at this hotel for a couple of days. The location is good, very close to Champs-Elysées, on a small street with not so nice buildings. But many of the small streets in Paris aren't very nice. What Bruce says: "A little small but quaint. The color scheme was a little strange though." Oh, yes. The wallpaper is so kitschy. It is actually fabric, probably easier to replace and probably cheaper. Furniture... well, not nice at all, kitschy too. Their website is very nice, but don't let yourself fooled by the pictures. That's what I did. I wouldn't go there the second time. The girl at the reception is very nice, helpful, friendly, speaking a good English. Overall, everything is clean, but tiny. For a 3 star hotel in Paris, it's probably OK.

A nice hotel with friendly people to help you find interesting things to see & do. We could not have asked for a a more helpful crew. Close to Franklin R. Metro staion. Quite street location.
