Du Bois Hotel

Just spent the weekend at the Hotel Du Bois, off the Ave Victor Hugo, within a few minutes walk of the Arc de Triomphe and Etoile Metro. It's always a pleasure to stay at this Hotel, the rooms are lovely, so clean and comfortable, the breakfast is very good with plenty of choice and the reception staff are very friendly, pleasant and helpful, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Paris. My boyfriend and I stayed 5 nights at this hotel end Dec to 3rd Jan. We'd seen lots of good reviews for Du Bois on Tripadvisor and as we'd used this website before to select a hotel we trusted that the accommodation would be good. And it was! The staff were really helpful and friendly. Our room was small but very clean and had a view of a quaint little street. We stayed at the Hotel du Bois for a treat at the end of a 2 month cycle-touring holiday. We turned up at the hotel at 10am tired and dirty after an overnight train ride from South of France and the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. They let us wheel our bikes through to the back of the hotel where they locked them in the storage room for us. We stayed in October this year for 3 nights. The room was a little small and next time we will ask for a larger room, but apart from this, the service, breakfast and cleanliness were excellent. The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. We expected the room to be small, but staying for 3 nights this did not bother us unduly. I stayed at the hotel for two nights with my nephew and his friend. We had two rooms (a double and a twin) next door to each other on the top floor. We had a great view of the Arc out our front windows. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Although they are small for american standards, they are average for Paris if you chose not to stay at a large chain hotel. The staff were very nice and accomodating.

our holiday was booked through a travel company, flights etc included and we chose this hotel as near the Arc, Champs e'lysees and a couple of underground stations. Its situation was perfect for what we wanted but must admit our room was not up to our usual standards. On the second floor (not a problem) but it was very small with bed right next to wall meaning one of us had to clamber over the other to get in and out of bed, not ideal for a couple in their 50's/60's. My husband and I have just returned from a weekend in Paris and stayed for two nights at the Hotel du Bois. Room was very small, but I've stayed in other Paris hotels, especially around the Arc de Triomphe, with similar size rooms, so we did expect it and wasn't really a problem. My husband and I have been to Paris four times now. We stayed at the Hotel Du Bois from February 18th to the 26th. We had a great time. We stayed in a standard room which had a bathroom with a shower, (no bathtub), and although it is small even by European standards, it was plenty large enough for myself and husband. My fiance and I ( actually got engaged in Paris) spent 6 days at the Hotel du Bois in late February and I found it to be a charming, truly European hotel. My first trip to Paris and we couldn't have made a better choice for hotel. The staff was fabulous! My wife and I stayed at the Hotel du Bois for 6 nights in February, 2005. All in all, we had a very good experience. First the positives: 1. The hotel has a fantastic location for sightseeing, within easy walking distance of both the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. We loved walking down to Le Notre every morning (for the best croissants and pain au chocalat in Paris), then heading to a Trocadero cafe overlooking the Eiffel Tower for a cafe creme. 2.
