Tingaki Beach Hotel

We stayed here for 1 week at the end of August 07. As we were the only Brits (German, Italian & Swiss staying here) we were surprised to find the language of communication was English. There are 2 parts to this hotel, the old and the new. We refused to stay in the old part as we had booked 4* hotel this was no more than 2*. The rooms were small tired and dated, bathroom was grubby.
We paid an extra 8 euros per night for a superior room in new part. This room was large with flat screen tv. All you would expect from a 4* hotel. Pool and grounds were excellent The only let down was the food, a good selection but utterly tasteless.
We had a great holiday thanks to Katras restaurant where we had lunch most days, great food and service from Aussy Greek Lewis and co. Find them near the beach and the fountain the second restaurant in. Red House rock and blues bar was our bar of choice (80 mtrs from fountain on the left) great live music check them out on www.redhouse-bar.com - We had a fantastic time every night thanks to Janice and Dave and will be going back soon but not at the Tingaki Beach hotel.
