Histria Hotel

We stayed here for four days in early spring. At the time, most of the other hotels in this complex were closed up, and the pace of activities was definitely well below the summer rush. This made for a very pleasant stay--we ran the paths all around the peninsula and saw virtually no one, swam alone in the hotel's indoor salt water pool, and breakfasted in the half-empty cafe. Excellent Hotel and very nice view on the sea from the balcony ! Loved this hotel really well situated. Staff were cool and the service perfect. Swimming pool and room clean. A little Casino is available in the hotel with poker... 1 min from the sea. really nice. The restaurant of the hotel is really good with theirs fish and the staff perfect. We enjoyed our stay.

I stayed last weekend in this hotel, and it is very nice.. the sea view balcony was just incredible.. the room was quite normal but the overall was ok. The outdoor swimming pool was opened, amazing view over the sea ,some adventurous were swimming in there. It was very warm, but the water a bit cold for me :) , anyway there is an indoor swimming pool with direct access to the outdoor one. The Staff looked very professional, too much maybe. we got the room we asked for sea view balcony. the only complaint was the nightclub was only open saturday as opposed to every night,the aquarium only opened at the weekends,the buffet food wasnt good.but the restaurant during the day was very good and the taverna restaurant was nice. buses into pula are every 20 mins and cost 11kn very handy.the airport is about 20 mins away and cost 120 kn in a taxi. the water was too cold to swim in but the weather was beautiful.the e&d evening and night lounge just beside the busstop is a must it was... more

Just returned from a week at the Histria, had a great time. Hotel was lovely, very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend it to anyone. Food Wasnt that great but maybe it gets better as the season picks up. Pula itself is beautiful with plenty to see and do also very cheap. Found a small bar in the bunarina that all the locals use, 3 kuna (30p) for a glass of wine, beat that ! Only one small problem, LADIES BEWARE! very often ladies loo is a hole in the ground !!

This is a four star hotel, which serves two star food and charges 5 star prices at the bar. Our hotel room was lovely, clean with lovely balcony and views. You have to be down for breakfast or evening meal about 30mins (at the latest) before they finish, as they start clearing all the food away. The food at this hotel was not very good, and i can honestly say we did not enjoy one meal there and we were there for two weeks. We found most of the staff not very friendly, especially on the bar. We had a group of 30 persons for almost 10 days in Histria Hotel (as organizers). What to say - very good service, food is really amazing, top professional staff, in one word - PERFECT ! For groups, Histria is excellent, we'll do more and more there and advice everyone to try it !!!

Stayed here for the last two nights of our holiday as we had been impressed by a visit to it at the start for a drink. The rooms are a great size with large balconies and mini bar. Air conditioning unit could not be run for more than 10 minutes as it sounded like a tractor was running in your room!!!! Furniture a bit tired looking but clean. Bathroom was nice but water pressure poor in shower. The situation of the hotel is beautiful - try a walk along the coast and swim in the many rocky coves as I would not swim in the hotel pool!!!... more

This hotel is acceptable, of course, but it's certainly nothing special. The furniture in the common areas is stained and sagging, and not a place I would consider inviting. We did have a nice balcony overlooking the outdoor swimming pool as well as the jackhammers which started up promptly at 7am to presumably replace the worn tile surrounding it. But the biggest shock of all was that for two adults and a 9 year old child, we paid $139 Euro per night!!! And that was OFF season. It just wasn't worth it.

Glad to be the first to put a report on tripadvisor for this hotel.We booked here and stayed for 5 nights in late August 2005 having driven from Venice in Italy through Slovenia and down the Istrian coast to Pula it was our first time in Croatia and a bit of an adventure for "Mrs Godso" and the 3 kids.
