De Lausanne Hotel

The room was very small and poorly decorated. We had to pin the curtains together to block out the light as they did not meet/overlap. However on the plus side the bathroom was bright and nice. The location was great as were the staff at the hotel. The common areas - reception, breakfast room were small but clean.

My cousins and I stayed at De Lausanne in early December and we were sorely disappointed. Our room was smelly and we had to open the windows to air it out. To top it off, one of the beds had dirt on it. In addition, the walls were very thin and we could hear the tv in the next room. The person at the front desk was not very helpful when asked for directions, and the day we were leaving, he booked our minivan to the airport for the wrong time, cutting it close for the departure. A friend and I booked here in an online package through EuropeExpress. The room, while on the small side, was certainly comfortable (I would cheerfully have sacrificed the mini-bar for some drawer space) and the bathroom up-to-date and spacious (with the exception of a phone booth-sized shower stall). A wonderful buffet breakfast was included (cold cuts, cheese, bread, rolls, yogurt, cereal, juice, tea, coffee) in the package (normally 10 euros extra). During early October, 2004, my wife and I spent 8 nights at the Hotel Lausanne. We booked an airline/hotel package that offered different hotels at varying prices. We selected the Lausanne based on the positive comments we read on Tripadvisor. Our experience at the Lausanne was disappointing and we would not recommend the hotel to any of our friends. I stayed at this for 6 nights October 26th thru November 1st 2004, the room I stayed in was nice not at all as small as some of the reviews have said about Paris hotels. The bathroom was what I feared but the one I had was modern and updated with a stand up shower which I prefer to a sit down tub. It is truely centrally located and you have at least 4 resturants, 1 bakery, 1 market on the same block some across the street. Some of the staff was helpful to me some not so overall the stay was nice.

We and our friends had 2 double rooms at de Lausanne for 6 nights in September 2004. We booked through Virgin Vacations and were quite satisfied with the overall package and with the hotel. While this is not a fancy place, it is quite adequate. Both of the rooms were small, but they were quite manageable if you store your suitcases under the beds. My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Lausanne for 6 nights. We loved Paris and this charming boutique hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. We were encouraged to visit a number of rooms and pick our favorite. What fun!! It was difficult to choose as they were all very nice and unique. We picked a lovely room with a view of Sacre Coeur in the distance and the Folies Bergere across the street. stayed here for a week in june. booked through go-today.com. great small hotel in a real neighborhood in paris. nice, clean room. small shops, laundromat, supermarket nearby. locals shopped for bread, cheese, meat, etc everyday after work in neighborhood. great patisseries! young parents pushing strollers, elderly people, orthodox jews: a paris neighborhood!

Visted Paris in April of 2004 (5th trip). Hotel staff very friendly and accomodating to my wishes for a good trip. Recommened by friends from the UK. Not a chain operation thus staff was personable and very willing to make my trip pleasant. Highly recommended to other US visitors.Very Convenient -Metro station Cadet just two blocks from hotel.Restaurants recommended by staff were also excellent.

I stayed at the hotel lusanne in rue geoffroy marie street in paris for a weekend. I found this hotel very nice and the staff were very nice, helpful and friendly. I stayed here with my husband so The room i was was very spacious and has a balcony, minibar, save, shower/bath and was very clean and fresh looking. The breakfast was 10 euro extra every morning but was very nice with as much as one could eat on offer.
