We have just returned from Punta Prime with our three daughters aged 6 weeks 5 years and 8 years. The apartments are spacious and airy well equipped and particularly well appointed. Ours was upstairs with beautiful views of pool and sea. The accommodation was clean and simple but it includes an iron and ironing board (essential!) The grounds were kept very beautifully with lush grass and landscaping. The maintenance member of staff was very efficient as were all the cleaning staff.
The cot provided was the travel variety so not ideal for such a small baby but I took a pop up one and placed this inside the travel version.
The complex is small but very friendly. The sun loungers around the pool seemed more than adequate in number (bear in mind we were off season) they could really do with more umbrellas though!
The bar and terrace is lovely with a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The staff on our visit were fabulous, efficient and friendly.
The entertainment off season is held in the bar this is not the ideal location for the performers but because of reduced number of guests it was really nice and everyone could watch on in close proximity.
It was hot, hot, hot weather unusual for the time of year. On the one day of rain we wondered if some people would find it a little boring during inclement weather. However we wanted complete relaxation and that we certainly found.
The kids club is operated by the tour company and runs in two morning sessions one for younger and one for older children. The afternoon session is from 3pm - 530pm for all age groups . The girls loved this club and the staff. Our one criticism was for the operators who state it is free! Three sessions a week during the day had a charge of between seven to ten euros. These sessions were different types of party but hardly optional! The posters and explanations from the staff meant the children all want to attend with friends and if they don't attend they miss kids club on that day. In total for two children attending all the sessions it was 55 euros a week. However on the positive side the staff were exceptional with the children and tears were shed by the older girls when we had to leave.
The play area is behind the apartments for older children this is great as they can find their own way around. With toddlers this would be less convenient as to supervise you are no where near the bar restaurant or seating. However it is fabulous and safe with a sand floor and lots of very well maintained equipment. Again this was a huge success with our children who made secret play camps with their new found friends.
The food served by the hotel is simple but well prepared. It cost 3.90 euros for a hot kid’s meal between 7 - 9 Euros for a hot adult meal and between 2.50 - 5.50 Euros for sandwiches and baguettes.
Punta prima itself is very small and quiet. We would recommend santis restaurant where they serve lovely food which is not accompanied by chips! Costs about 35 euros with drinks for the four of us.
Blue Anchor the only English pub. Well we were a little disappointed yes it is English but it is also the most expensive meal we had. The food was nice but the roof top terrace was not exactly well appointed. The play area was great for very little children.
Sebastian’s was a real gem the food is very reasonably priced with a huge selection it is well cooked and the beachfront location is fab. Play area is large and well placed and stocked, the Spanish music nights were great and the staff so friendly and willing to help us with our Spanish. This was a real favourite for us during the holiday.
The beach we cannot really comment on the hotel pool is so lovely for the children that we never went to paddle. We heard third party reports that the seaweed was a bit a of a nightmare on the shore line. But the sand was lovely for castles.
Finally bus service is excellent. Rep trips expensive and unnecessary as transport was so good.
We loved the island and particularly the resort it was a fantastic family holiday and we are booking to return next year. It was great really recommend the apartments.

My wife and I and our two daughters, aged 14 and 8, returned to Punta Prima Playa Apartments this year, five years after we first went there.
The apartments remain as we remembered them, well appointed and kept very clean. The two pools are fine, the baby pool is especially good for toddlers, and the bar is well run. There are just about enough loungers but people do still put their towels down very early. (If people put their towels down the night before, the previous manager used to throw them in the pool!)
Five years ago all the entertainment was put on within the complex itself and was great fun for the kids, with magicians and puppets, but now all that has changed and any entertainment is put on in the adjoining bar while the bar in the complex closes down. This may keep the noise levels down a bit but detracts from the family atmosphere. Also, the previous management were Spanish which made the place seem more authentic.
There is now a very handy and well stocked supermarket next door which sells freshly baked bread, great for breakfast and there are about half a dozen restaurants down near the beach with The Lighthouse (owned by an English chap) easily the best.
Hire a car for a few days and visit Mahon (on Tuesday, market day), Cuitadella, Fornells, Es Grau, Binibeca, Cala Galdana, Son Bou etc.
Menorca is a great island and Punta Prima Apartments, especially if you are a young family or want a quiet, relaxed time, make an excellent choice as a base for your holiday.

Punta Prima Playa Apartments were excellent for our holiday this year. Our 2.5 year had a ball on the bouncy castle and trampolines (every night!). The apartments were lovely, well kept and excellent layout for young families. The baby pool is excellent as it only allows toddlers to go in up to their thighs which was ideal for us.
The kids club reps were excellent also. The only thing I would say about the resort is that is was a little too quiet. A lot of the restaurants sell the same type of food, fresh fish, so if you don't eat it there is little other choice. It could do with a couple more family friendly pubs, though The Anchor was excellent.
I wouldn't recommend this place for older kids who expect to be entertained all day and night! We hired a car for a couple of days which was an excellent way to see this beautiful island.

Punta Prima is a lovely place as was the whole of Menorca apart from one or two very British type resorts, i.e Cala Blanes. Punta Prima Playa apartments were very nice, kept very clean. Although one small moan, the towels could be changed more than 3 times a week.
Entertainment was good. The supermarkets in the resort are just as good and in some instances cheaper than the larger supermarket near Mahon. Cuitadella, Mahon and Es Mercadel are all lovely places. If you can go up to Mount Toro especially at sunset, it was extremely beautiful.

A very well run complex with superb accommodation. Every single accommodation has a pool view and circles the pool area.
the pool itself is very clean and there are sufficient sunbeds for all. The grass area between the pool area and apartments are kept very well and makes for very relaxing surroundings when sunbathing.
The apartments are well maintained, to an extremely high standard. More than anyone could really hope for, compared to other places I have been.
The resort itself is a quiet resort, so don’t go if you want a noisy nightlife, however, there are a few bars that put on entertainment into the early hours, as well as some evenings at the the playa apartments suitable for all ages. approx 2/3 times a week.
This was our second visit there and we have already booked again for next year and will doubtless be booking the year after that as well.
The restaurants in the area are varied, with traditional menus, Chinese, pizzerias etc. A choice of about 8 in total, all worth a visit.
Local bus services to Mahon are regular and cheap.
If you want a really nice relaxing holiday, with varied entertainment and superb accommodation, you will find nowhere better.

The complex itself is very nice, with good facilities such as shower room and toilets near to the pool. There are plenty of sunbeds, although towels were appearing on them as early as 6 am!!
The area that they are situated in is very quiet - there are only 6 restaurants (i think) and these all sell the same type of food .... Everything comes with chips aswell!!
While we were there, there was no children’s evening entertainment what-so-ever, even thought the brochure states that there is ... Because the local area is so quiet, there is nothing to do except eat in a restaurant and then go back to the apartments.
Even though our apartment was supposed to be 4 *, there was a poor standard of apartment fixtures (handles missing, bits falling off, doors not working properly ..) Disappointing really.

The Punta Prima Playa apartments are excellent - very clean, well appointed and the 2(beds) very spacious.
The standard of decor and amenities are also very good. The apartments are well equipped to meet your self-catering need and the pool area / gardens are well tended to.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, particularly Paul, who manned the bar / restaurant area during the day and Sarah during the evening.
The Town is small, with only a few restaurants - but good value and nice quality food - ideal for a quiet break away from it all (approx 4 min walk from the apartments).

This was by far the best holiday I ever been on, the place was absolutely beautiful.
The apartments were very clean you could see your face on the bathroom taps, very spacious and generally very well looked after, and they even come with telephone, tv, iron & ironing board (essential).
There is a big lagoon style pool a small baby one which was great, the pool was cleaned every morning & the grass surrounding the pool was well maintained too with lots of lovely flowers.
My children were 4 & 1 when we went my oldest had a ball in the kids club every few days (not free like stated) there is also a great playground to the rear of the apartments with a sand floor which the kids loved.
The staff were very friendly & the service was excellent they couldn't do enough for you; the poolside restaurant/bar served lovely food & was priced reasonable.
There is a supermarket right next door which sells everything you would need for your holiday.
The resort itself is quiet not really ideal for people looking for a wild time, there is plenty of choices of restaurants & play parks, souvenir shops, chemist, supermarkets etc. The restaurants mainly sell similar food but all have a wide variety.
I went elsewhere last year & regret it so this year I have booked to go back to Punta Prima a little earlier in June this time, I can't wait, I will probably go back every other year until the kids are too old for this place.
I would highly recommend these apartments & when you have young kids it is the ideal relaxing place to go.
