Fab Views from every room. The cleanest pool I have ever seen in Greece. Great for laps in the morning when everyone else is sleeping! Pefkos itself is a bit too English for me.
Lardos village had a fab Taverna called The Good Heart where the Greek Lady owner cooked for us vegetarians the most lovely Veg Mousakka. We also loved Plakia beach with the great little Taverna that served the best Greek salad and tazakki in Pefkos.
Enigma Restaurant was not great but Tsambikas up the hill above the bakery was very nice. All in all Pefkos is about as Greek as Bournemouth but if you look carefully you can still find the traditional Greece.

Dimitris Studios are very well kept and very clean, they are situated in fantastic garden surroundings and can boast an amazing view over Pefkos and round the coast all the way to Lardos because of their elevated position.
The apartments themselves easily house three people and have ample power outlets and a huge mirror in the bathroom, sheets were changed weekly and towels changed every third day although you are given only bathtowels, the fitted safe can be rented for 10 euros per week and the air con can be rented for 50 euros per week, a bit pricey but worth it.
The pool is quite large and is very clean, the bar/cafe area is also large and clean and offers an unexpectedly expansive choice of meals or snacks, also the usual drinks and ice creams etc. There is also a pool table which is situated in enough room to be used, not shoe horned in like some other places did!
You can walk down the hill in to Pefkos in under 10 mins, visit the delicious patisserie on the way down or hold off and visit any of the eateries you fancy , we never got a bad meal and we ate at a different venue each day although I have to recommend a place called Trepsis , it was fantastic.
If it’s too hot to walk back up the hill you can take a taxi for 4 Euros, taxis are easily found at either of the two ranks situated at either end of the main street.
If you fancy the beach its only five mins walk further on and for a change you could take a trip on the glass bottom boat which is well signed on the way to the beach, it costs 16 euros for an adult and half price for under twelve year olds.

The Dimitris is a lovely self catering apartment the rooms are large and very clean, the sheets are changed once a week the towels on the third day but they don’t give you hand towels just a bath towel each. there is a kettle and a hairdryer in the room with plenty of plug sockets and a good sized mirror.
You have to pay for the air-conditioning which costs £50 which we thought was very expensive but was needed when we were there.
The swimming pool is a good size and very clean as was the pool bar, which serves good food, the gardens are lovely and there is a large lawned area where children can kick a ball and play.
The walk down to the super-market beach and bars was awful, you do get used to it after a while but this is the only thing that puts me off a little, if you hire a car or moped it wouldn’t be a problem or just take a taxi, hats if you can get one to just take you up or down the hill.
The beach and sea are nice the sunbeds cost 8 euros for two beds and a brolly.
Lots of nice eating places but the one I liked best was called TWO BROTHERS,
We will be back next year but when it’s a touch cooler.

Myself and my partner have been going to the same apartments for the past couple of years.
Last year we visited 3 times as we had met a guy who works out there the year before. The apartments are clean and tidy, the balconies have the best views in any hotel in Pefkos as you have mountains to your right and the whole of Pefkos and the sea in front of you. Dimitris is up a steep hill which leads from Pefkos to Lindos where you will find The Acropolis.
The reason I have not given this a 10 rating is purely because having been there so many times, there is a limit to what you can see and do. You can very easily drive round Rhodes in a day and there are many beautiful sights along the way but Pefkos itself is a very small, Greek, safe place for a holiday. You feel very comfortable walking around day or night on your own and it is pretty quiet which I love.
There are tons of fantastic restaurants and the best is La Piazza Pizza Restaurant.

Whilst I agree with most of the complementary comments on this site, I would like to make reference to some negatives.
We had to take our holiday making a night flight, but the Dimitris is not set up for this. We had to leave our room before 12 o'clock mid day (this could be extended until 6 o'clock for 25 euros). This was not a lot of use considering we were not due to be picked up by the coach until 2.50 am the following morning.
The Dimitris does not offer a secure room to store your luggage after you have left your apartment, luggage can be placed outside next to the pool bar, nor shower or changing facilities (except the toilet attached to the pool bar).
This leaves you with 15 hours to fill not knowing if your luggage is safe or being able to take a shower on the final day of your holiday, leaving a sour taste to what has otherwise been an enjoyable time.
