Stay at the hotel
We stayed in comfort inn saint pierre for five nights in october 2006. Unfortunately we stayed in a room on the first floor, but beeing tired enough the noise from rue clignancourt did'nt disturb us. Our room was a bit smelly and not that clean, but even though I'm satisfied with our stay in the hotel. The breakfast was much better than expected and we ate a good breakfast every morning. I was pleased with it! The surroundings of the hotel are'nt that nice, but by walking a couple blocks away there is a completly different sight ahead of... more
Not a good experience
I agree with the opinions of the other members about the hotel. We stayed at Comfort St Pierre in june 2006; the price was not so high for a family, so we choose it altought it was only a two-stars. But it wasn't a very good experience.... the hotel has small rooms, a lilliputian bathroom, a shower with a rivulet of water, a miniature elevator, uncomfortable beds. The cleaning is hardly adequate. There is no air conditioning, so we suffered for the hot temperature (our room was under the roof). The location is quite noisy, the rue... more
If you can, spend some more money...
We stayed at Comfort Hotel St. Pierre at the end of Feb. 2006, the price was a incredible €49,00 for a twin room breakfast included! We should know what was expecting us, but the reviews and our experience at other Comfort Inns at the US made us optimistic, too optimistic!!! The hotel is cramped, tiny rooms, tiny elevator, and the bathroom... The street where it is located dirty, the nearby boulevards are downscale Paris, sure it is near Sacré Coeur, but a world away from that special Montmartre ambiance... On the good... more
You get what you pay for
The location of the hotel is good, about 15 minutes from Gare du Nord and 2 minutes from metro. The hotel is very basic. The room and the bathroom were both tiny, but clean. No hairdryer in the bathroom. In fact the hotel had only one hairdryer at the reception and that one was impossible to get. The staff at the reception was friendly unlike the lady serving breakfast. Breakfast was not worth 7 Euros. You could get a much nicer croissant and a cup of good coffee for half that price.
Xmas Stay 2004
We stayed here for 7 nights over Christmas in 2004. Considering how much we paid for a double room we were pleasantly surpised with the hotel. It was basic but warm, clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant, helpful and spoke good English. Our room was at the front of the hotel but we did not find the noise from the road to be as bad as some people have made out. I suppose that if you live in the country or somewhere dead silent then you may find it noisy. Oh and we had a great view of the Sacre Cour from our window (we were on the... more
a basic choice
We booked this hotel for our travel in paris. It is easy to find this hotel because it is near the metro and there are many stores surrounding. We lived a room near the street on the third floor and felt quite quiet at night, but the temperature is needed to be adjusted manually. The room is normal and the bath is a little small. The reception is normal and helpful. The prices can be reduced if you book before your trip otherwise it is quite expensive compared with nearby hotels.
Cheap, basic accommodation
Since I couldn't get into my preferred hotel in the Marais during the weekend, I found this hotel through a last-minute deals site. It's a short walk from the train station, and another short walk to Sacre-Coeur - a good location though not particularly elegant (rows of men trying to sell you watches on the main street). The hotel itself is basic, the hallways and rooms a bit industrial. But it's clean, and my room, on the inside, not facing a street, was amazingly quiet. Would have liked air-conditioning or at least a fan - the two warm end... more
Hate to disagree
Last 2 reviews are interesting. We booked for 4 nights and left after 1 very uncomfortable and noisy night. The room was tiny, it was dirty and the bathroom very musty and smelly. Paris was great, but the hotel left a nasty taste in the mouth.
Handy and inexpensive
Clean and comfortable, with easy access to all the hurly-burly of Montmartre; get past the touists and find those romatic, secluded spots for yourselves - the Moulin de la Galette, made famous by Renoir's painting of the same name, and stunning views over Paris. Also well served by the main artery of the Metro, carrying you to the heart of Paris. On the face of it, not the most glamourous area, but vital and exciting. Hotel with courteuos staff, and a pleasant continental breakfast. Good coffee!
quiet, great location
My wife and I have stayed a couple of different times at this Comfort Inn. It is close to a metro station as well as close to Sacre Coeur and Place de Tertre artists square. Because it has been recently renovated, it is clean and modernized. Love its quaint breakfast nook in the "cave." Front desk personnel has been extremely helpful, especially Junas.
