Comfort Hotel Cardinal Rive Gauche

I often stay in Paris for professional reasons.If you are looking for a reasonably prised hotel with good connections and in an typically Parisien area, this is the best choise you can make. I booked (ratestogo) this hotel at € 60/night breakfast included. The room is clean, with warm colours, fridge, airco and nice bathroom. Breakfast is French (croissants, baguettes, coffee/thee, and very tasty. There are busstops and metrostations within a range of 200 m. Don't forget to take a walk in the very cosy Rue Mouffetard.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed in this hotel for three nights. The location is excellent, we could walk everywhere, beside daily markets and plenty of traditional french retaurants. Our room was small but clean, comfortable and warm. The buffet breakfast was nice and plentiful, although the selection was limited to ceral, bread and yogurt. There was plenty of tea/coffee/hot chocolate on offer. The staff were friendly, limited English, but tried their best to direct us to the best spots in Paris. Overall a nice little hotel in a great area.

Stayed 3 nights in a twin room here. On ratestogo website we were able to book a twin room, including free breakfast for 2, for only 85 Euros per night. At this rate, this hotel is a true bargain. The people at the front desk were extremely helpful and polite, as is the woman at the breakfast room. The elevator is quite fast - unusual for old and small Paris hotels. We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights from Aug 1st to Aug 5th. The rooms were clean and ther bathroom was very nice albeit a little small. The continental breakfast was good and you could eat as much as you like. The staff were very friendly. Also, there are a few good italian restaurants near by. A lovely food market and shops area. Very near metro system too. Good stay and would stay there again.

I stayed at this hotel in October, 2004. I paid only 80 Euros per night during a time period when all the other budget hotels in Paris were full. My room was clean, especially the bathroom. The room was small, but they had cable TV and a modern elevator. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the Park Royal RER station. There are closer metro stations, but I preferred the RER station. For my fiance and my first stay in Paris, Hotel Cardinal was great! When we initially arrived at the hotel, we thought it was out of the way but eventually realized it is well situated. There are a couple options for subway stops. The area is safe. The staff is very accomadating and friendly whether you know French, want to practice your French or prefer English. I had a great stay at the hotel. The room was sufficiently sized, clean, and the hotel well-located in the Latin Quarter. I would recommend this room for anyone interested in staying in a quiet area in the Latin Quarter but easy walking distance to the major tourist locations.

We booked a three night stay through CyberCity Guides from March 21st 2004. The hotel had no trace of our booking when we arrived. We were put in an extremely small room at the back of the hotle with no room to even pull the chair out from under the dressing table. It was not until by husband got out of the bath an hour after our arrival that we realised there were no towels. When we booked we had never been to Paris. I picked this hotel because it was part of the Comfort Inn chain, so I was hopeful I wouldn't be disappointed. Sure enough, it's like staying at a Comfort Inn in the states (only with smaller rooms). I was traveling with my wife and two year old. We really enjoyed it. The staff were helpful. The hotel is tricky to find and I would recommend a cab. The location is good and the metro is reasonably close. The room was very nice and looked like it had been recently rennovated. The airconditioning worked well and it was actually too cold so we had to turn it down. There is a mini fridge which is great ( I recommend buying a case of bottled water from a supermarche for about 2 euro and storing them in there and you'll save tons of money because if you buy single bottles they'll charge about 2 or more euro-minifridge is also good to... more
