Great service. Staff very helpful. Great food in the restaurant in the night. Breakfast is a lot to be desired!
10 min walk from Wencelas square. You are fine going there, but coming back there was an incline. I would probably stay more on Wencelas square like the Jalta hotel or the Radisson SAS because you are closer to everything. We didn’t go out after 9pm as it was a bit rough walking back up to the hotel- a bit like the Bronx. Bare in mind we were 2 girls in our 20's!
We didn’t use local transport, we walked everywhere as we heard loads of horror stories about rogue taxi drivers. If you do decide on getting a taxi, get the pub/hotel/restaurant to call you one, don't jump into any old one. Also there was a lot of pick pocketing on the trams. We did find a great Irish pub called Rocky O'Reillys not that I saw one Irish person working there!
Great food there though! Try the chicken or beef dinners. They were to die for!

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for a weekend in November. The hotel is nice and clean, and the staff are helpful and speak excellent English. As we only stayed for a weekend we didn't use the pool or eat in the restaurant, but we did drink in the bar which was very expensive.
The Novotel is about a 10 minute walk from Wenceslas Square which is close enough, but for a first time visitor I'd recommend staying in the Old Town. As we're young we thought we'd be better in the more modern end but the bars aren't great and can be a bit sleazy later on at night.
There's a great restaurant called Banditos across the road, really friendly staff and nice Mexican food.
All in all the hotel was comfy and clean but is further from Wenceslas Square than the name implies and the bar was overpriced.
