We stayed in Prague for 3 days, the hotel was pleasant and friendly, the rooms were clean and tidy, and the hotel itself was very well set out and spacious.
We had breakfast and one evening meal, the evening meal was very reasonably priced and the food was well presented and tasty.
Prague itself is a beautiful city with lots of historical buildings and museums to visit, The market in Wenceslass square is colourful and full of bargains, To eat out here you have a vast choice starting from the usual McDonalds and KFC fast food places, street cafes and many restaurants, the prices are unbelievably cheap. We were a party of 2 adults- 2 children and we all had a fantastic time in Prague and would recommend it to anyone.
Now with flights from lots of regional airports it is accessible to all and really worth a visit. A very beautiful and interesting city and a very friendly welcoming people. We hope to go again soon.

First rate food and accommodation at this hotel, service first class, you could not fault this hotel.
Location about ten minute walk to Metro and a bit hilly, like all this wonderful city but once you have come to grips with metro and Trollies the City is your Oyster. I understand you can purchase a transport ticket at the Airport, good investment.
Prague Airport is also an added bonus, quick efficient processing, and above all else, everywhere you went was so clean, the restaurants helpful, food above the norm, well worth the visit and the history seconded too none, if you like buildings this is the place.

The Ametyst hotel is a lovely comfortable hotel set about 2 miles from the city centre. There is however a tram and metro stop about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The tram is by far the nicest way to travel into the city.
The hotel is friendly and the rooms are well equipped, although Prague being such a nice city it is not likely you will be spending long in the hotel room!
Breakfast had a great selection of hot and cold food.
For those who don't mind using public transport this hotel is a superb choice. My only small complaint is that the rooms do not have air-conditioning and so in the hot summer months the rooms can get very warm.
