The hotel is quite well organized and discrete. I often stay there when I travel to New York.
I always take the same room, so I don't have opinion for the hotel as a whole, but just for my room.
However, the staff is always nice and polite and I always get my messages.
I travel for business and I often prefer to have the meetings in my room, rather than in a cafe somewhere and I always can have the coffee and milk in my room.

I went there with a group of twenty six people. It was about to become a hell when came one extra receptionist and helped the first one.
The surprise was that staff was speaking German and for us this we gave them A+.
The quality of the internet access was average and their excuse was that the provider is doing something. The next day the speed was ok, fast enough. I didn't pay much attention to it.
I went to New York for leisure and the hotel was in the very center of the action!

Highly recommended for budget travellers, excellent value for money. Good clean accommodation in a dorm. Met some fab people who had great stories to tell & interesting comments on places we wanted to visit.
NYC is totally cool!!! Except alcohol is very very expensive! But food, clothes, cosmetics etc..super cheap. Tourist attractions brilliant, must see Guggenheim, Empire State at night if possible. Statue of Liberty a total let down...cool ferry over...but not worth the thousands of steps to the top.

The rooms are not as big as expected and the view from our room was nothing special. However the prices are competitive, really, and the hotel is quite clean. There are good transport connections to all parts of the city worth visiting. Staff: young and friendly.
Ask for extra blankets. Our room had only two and the night was extremely cold!
