Having read lots of the reviews on this site before out holiday, I have to say I was slightly worried. But with absolutely no cause. The hotel was lovely in every respect -our room was bright, with plenty of space and a sea view and was cleaned every day. The buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner were all good, lots of choice and food was changed regularly. I am a strict veggie and my husband is a carnivore, yet we both always found something we wanted. Yes, the choice is limited for veggies but I expect that in other countries. I was also 20 weeks pregnant when we travelled and so was more worried that usual about food poisoning, but I was not ill at all. The hotel grounds are pretty but I agree not suitable for those who have mobility problems. The main pool was always packed but we used the smaller one near the ampitheatre and always found space in the shade. There was always space on the beach too - only 5 minutes walk away. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially the dining room managers and waiters and the entertainment staff - Evi and Toto deserve special mention, both absolute stars. I did aqua-aerobics a couple of times and there were plenty of other sports and kids clubs on offer. The evening entertainment was cheesy sometimes but good fun.
As for the area, Kiotari is a purpose built tourist resort - real Greece it is not. However we hired a car and explored the island every day, there was plenty to do and see. Other than the Faliraki area which is awful, Rhodes is a lovely island - Lindos and the west coast are particularly stunning.
Overall, I would totally recommend this hotel and Rhodes - only warning it is very hot, even June was a bit too much for me!

After having been here at the end of season in September 2007 my other half and I found ourselves again looking for somewhere to take two weeks out of our hectic lives and relax without having to do too much.... The Rodos village is the ideal venue for this.
I will start by saying that we both work in hospitality, indeed i actually own a small hotel in the UK and know only too well that some customers expectations cannot be met all of the time, especially in a place as large as this with over 450 rooms.
The hotel is not 5* by UK standards but then you aren't paying anywhere near those prices either.. we paid £1100 for the fortnight including transfers etc.and this wouldn't get you many nights in a full standard 5* hotel in the uk or anywhere else.
That said, the Rodos Village is maintained by a dedicated and very friendly team who go to great lengths to ensure your rooms are spotless, the gardens are lovely and that the facilities are up to standard.
Power outages, as mentioned in other reviews have little to do with the hotel and are common in Rhodes, but shouldnt last more than a couple of hours, are often in the middle of the night,and lets face it they can happen anywhere.
On arrival we were allocated a room on the 1st floor of the main building which is above the kitchen and can get very warm. We had stayed in the same place on the previous visit so on this occasion had arranged with jetline travel to have an upgrade to garden/ or sea views. When we pointed this out to reception they apologised immediately, explained that they did not have an arrangement with the booking agent to offer upgrades, but were in fact unable to change the room until the next morning which wasnt a problem. After breakfast we were shown a room at the top of the complex( taken by porter on bus)and when we agreed they swiftly organised the transfer of our luggage. You really cant complain about a service recovery like this, especially as it was due to the UK agents mis-selling.
The Hotel has 4 pools 1 large lower pool, 1 indoor by the cafe bar, 1 small in the middle of the complex and 1 large by another bar at the top of the complex.There was an element of British residents complaining about a lack of sunbeds but we didnt have a problem, mostly because we were'nt turning up straight from bed at 4pm. There are also ample beds at the hotels beach area which has another bar and watersports centre.
Food was widely varied in comparison to many of the all inclusive resorts we have been to and i would go so far as to suggest that if you coulnt find a suitable meal then you are very picky. every night there was a salad bar with choice of cold meats and fish, 8 salads plus a variety of olives, roasted peppers and condiments etc. For main courses there are ten hot choices every evening plus a show cooking stand and grill chef cooking the meat or fish of the day. During our stay this included swordfish, sea bass, pork fillet, steak, liver, chicken and rabbit
there is also a wide variety of desserts.
The staff are happy to cater to special requirements given the appropriate notice and the restaurant waiters and maitre d' are all fantastically efficient and polite.
There is also a small pizzeria and pasta restaurant at the top of the complex that makes great wood fired pizza and early booking is advisable.
The staff in the hotel are really superb. having read previous reviews i wonder how the people who found issue with them were speaking to them. Some told me that they get annoyed when english tourist come and speak to them slowly like they dont understand. This is a particular insult to their intelligence as the majority of them speak fluent english, german, italian, polish, and russian. A simple greeting of kali mera/spera and an attempt to ask their name is all that is needed to break the ice, and is appreciated especially by the staff who work 15 hour days with no pay as they are on international work placements!
The animation/entertainment team at the hotel are a particularly brilliant bunch of young people. they are there to help all day with anything and try very hard to to get you to take part in at least some of their activities, they have a very difficult job catering for a 1000 guests a week doing sports all day and putting on shows every evening which are very well attended and for good reason. the shows can be dance related, audience participation, comedy or a cabaret and all are well thought out fun for families and singles alike. So big love to Gino, Evi, Toto and their entire team who gave us a thoroughly enjoyable time so often.
The hotel location is good for couples, families and older people, younger people looking for a clubbing holiday may find choice limited but there is a good beach club and another night club and several bars on the beach front 300m from the hotel. There are quite a few steep hills and steps in the area, however there are lifts and several wheel chair users at the hotel during our stay. The location is also well serviced with a pharmacy various companies offering excursions, car hire, motorbike hire and various small super markets.
I would whole heartedly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and entertaining holiday without having to do anything, The resort tries very hard to deal with everyone in the best way possible but people must bear in mind that as 90% of the clients are italian then the service is geared more towards them. This caused us no problems and in fact we enjoyed it, however as i said at the beginning, if you are looking for hyatt or shangri la style luxury then you wont find it here, what you do get is a good value, honest no nonsense holiday around very nice people in a very nice place.

Advice: quiet, shigle beach with beautifully clean water, great location for exploring the island by car/bus

Me and my boyfriend came to this hotel for a week long all inclusive, having never been to Greece we went completeley open minded. It was brilliant, as most people with half a brain are aware hotel star rating are done on ameneties and facilities not whether or not it has duck down pillows and egyptian cotton bed sheets you pompus arse heads!
(Correct me if I'm wrong but it does have a hell of a lot to offer), and having stayed at a variety of 5* hotels in the U.K and europe this was one of the friendliest. The staff were second to none whether it was first light or last orders, maybe people who found some members of staff to be rude should perhaps think about how they themselves had spoken to the staff! Its a simple rule we learn as kids, treat others how you would wish to be treated yourself!
Anyway, in short it was a great holiday and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Please don't be put off by people that have nothing better to do than whinge!
Also try the restaurant across the way for a change of scenery the most gorgeous food ever! I cant remember the name but it has a Grape Vine growing across the roof and it has stunning views over the sea.

We've just come back from Rodos Village. It was excellant yes there were steps and slopes, but it was still the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Those people who complain need something to do. I loved it so did my husband we're not youngsters either. Anyway thanks for a gret ten days. SPOT ON!!! the food was superb the desserts fantastic blue lagoon went down well so did the beer! The people were friendly. I just couldn't fault it.

I have just returned from a second stay at the Rodos Village Hotel with my partner and 5 year old daughter. This was our second visit this year (we went in July also). I have read lots of conflicting reviews about the hotel but I can only speak from our experiences. We booked both our visits last minute and I would say that we did get value for money though we would have been disappointed if we had paid full price as some people did. The hotel itself is generally clean but is need of updating and sometimes you need to give them a little nudge when it comes to refilling the soap dispensers in the toilets (pool). If you want a sunbed by the pools you do need to put your towel out early which sometimes this applies to the beach also. People used to blame this on the Germans but is it definately a very British thing though to be fair there aren't enough sunbeds to go around. The service and the food in the main & Italian Restaurants are good but sometimes you have to put up with a few flies on the bread which we are used from previous visits to Greece! Our daugther enjoyed the disco and the Animation team are good and work very hard to entertain everyone all day and night 6 days a week. This would not be a 5 star hotel in Britain and I can only guess that they receive the rating for the facilities rather than the quality. We stayed in the Rodos Maris two years ago which I would say is better in terms of location (closer to the beach) and facilties but the entertainment was better at the Rodos Village. I disagree about likening it to a Butlins but if we say if you don' go with too high expectation's you won't be disappointed.

Have just returned from 10 nights at the Rodos Village and after reading other reviews before we went, would like to add our review.
The resort itself is quiet. The Rodos Village hotel is built over a large area of land with lots of steps but which gives it a lot of character. It has two very large swimming pools and one smaller and one indoor pool. We preferred to go on the beach each day as the sea was just the best to swim in, so warm and clean and there were more parasols and sunbeds to be had. It wasn't easy to get a parasol or sunbed at all around the pools as it seemed that people were laying their towels out way before 7.00 a.m.!! The sunbeds themselves are getting quite tatty and several were broken and so need replacing. The hotel furniture on the terrace and in the Rock Cafe area also were very tatty and need replacing, all looking very tired. The hotel itself was having quite a few problems with its air conditioning. We went two nights without air conditioning when ours broke down and we approached the reception staff four times about it, even requesting fans to help us out, but they weren't very helpful. It was only when we complained to our rep. on the third day that she got them to confirm that they would get something done that day and it was! The hotel reception area and bar area are not air conditioned which made it very unpleasant in the extreme heat and everyone we spoke to were complaining that they were surprised that a hotel of that size couldn't provide good air conditioning throughout the hotel.
The dining room staff work very hard and were all extremely polite. You do have to queue to get into the dining room at busy times and also to get some meals, but wasn't really a problem, although personally we found it overall too manic at times for our liking, we prefer smaller and quieter! The food became a bit boring after a week (we have had much better quality in other hotels). The pool bar / cafe was supposed to provide food and drink up to 6.00 p.m. but some evenings they were closing up at 5.30 p.m. telling us one evening that they had finished cooking chips etc. which was half hour before closing. If the All Inclusive states up to 6.00p.m., then really this should have been available and not closing when they wanted to. The beach bar was very good, but their rolls with fillings weren't always that nice, but do try their ham and cheese paninis, they are really nice. Their Frappe coffees are awful. Do walk up to Dimitris in the Square to get a really good Frappe and meet Coco, his parrot.
Our 15 year old daughter enjoyed herself and did make plenty of new friends. The entertainment is ok, they do work hard and are quite funny at times, but can also be a bit 'corny'. Their version of Irish dancing was a let down and when my daughter, who is an Irish dancer showed them how it should be done, they were pleasantly surprised and even wanted her to show them a few steps. Some of the daytime entertainment round the pool areas wasn't for us. The beach area had volley ball and stretching for those who wanted to take part.
Overall, we enjoyed our holiday, the weather was really hot, over 40degrees most days.
We would return to Kiotari at some point in the future, but would like to try the Maris Hotel on the other side of the road, as we found the Rodos Village too large and too noisy at times for our liking with poor quality fixtures and fittings / furniture and generally it does have the atmosphere of a Butlins Holiday Camp! As everyone we met said, the hotel is definitely not a 5 Star hotel, it is only a 3 Star. We will return to Rhodes itself and would like to try further up the East coast side towards Lindos, which is really nice.

I have read some of the comments and i can agree on some of them . On arrival i was a bit put off the communication from the reception staff was a bit negative other than that once taken to our appartment i thought it was very nice and clean and also quite spacious. The room was kept clean everyday the cleaners work very hard and they are friendly too. Other than reception staff the only negative thing about the holiday was the food it seemed very salty and there was not a very good variety for children it seemed to be the same same dish everyday and the cue to get into the resturant was long although the staff do work hard. The entertainment around the pool during the day is brilliant i think that mido and ramsey made the holiday fun and without them it would not be the same they make an excellent team ( in the pool, in the pool, in the pool is all i kept hearing on the plane home ) . The entertainment in the evening is funny the animation team are very good and talented people mostly mido and ramsey. The pool bar team work very hard in that heat and are very friendly people too i enjoyed the holiday very much and so did my husband and my two young daughters.

Like others who have written reviews it was with some trepidation that we set off to the Rodos Village Hotel having read the reviews of others. But open minded I am, and open minded I tried to remain. Initial impressions upon arriving at the dead of night were not too bad but once the sun came up the peeling paint, broken fittings and fixtures and a general air of delapidation became all too apparent. Further exploration identified a vast aray of hazards - a murky pea soup pool, filthy fridges used to store salads and ice cream, unbelievably dirty kitchen conditions in the Pizza restaurant and broken glass strewn far and wide, not to mention the wide range of death drops (and I am not talking about the stairs to the pool although anyone of an infirm disposition (including a fear of heights) or with young children might include these). There were broken guard rails, low walls which fell away 10 feet plus on the other side, a steep set of slate stairs leading down to the covered pool - if you were to luck out you'd fall half way down thus avoiding falling through the glass cover itself. Our room was fine - good even - but others were tatty although the house keeping was excellent - a hard working crew who gave 100% on room cleaning. It really is a pity that the management didn't see the need to keep the rest of the complex so clean. Another major issue when the hotel is full is that there simply are not enough facilities for everyone - not enough sun beds, not enough seats at the snack bar, not enough glasses for a drink of juice at breakfast (if you care to stand in line for 10mins at the juice machine that is), not enough seats at the bar in the evening, a queue to get into the restaurant for dinner. Another reviewer mentions that the doctor visits daily - that is because of the number of people needing to see him - not a good sign - ear infections, eye infections, cuts, scrapes, sprains and, horror of horrors on an All Inclusve holiday, bad tummies all round. Some of those who gave good reviews I note are the parents of teenage children and boy did the teenagers seem to enjoy the place. Where else can your kids run round all night, swim in supposedly closed swimming pools and generally do as they please with no comeback whatsoever. They were even playing knock door runaway! And why am I taking time out to write this - simply really - the place is not value for money. It is not five star, or four star or even a three star and although we got our holiday at a reasonable price we'd absolutely hate for anyone to go here and pay full price because even if you ate and drank morning noon and night (which you can't because the restaurants and snack bars are not always available) you will not get what you paid for. We heard of families of 4 paying into the low to mid thousands for their break - I'd have jumped off the top of the slate stairs and hope to hit glass on the way down if that had been me. I did speak to a manager one evening but he was quite dismissive and therein lies the problem - he assured me, for example, that the hazards were there because Greek standards are different to ours - a low wall with a drop on the other side is the same in any country - dangerous. He told me it was not his job to secure the place at night - isn't it? The hotel has the potential to be fantastic but with this management approach it never will be.
The pea soup pool was eventually treated with so many chemicals my six year old son will probably never have an eye infection as long as he lives. You go to Greece for sun, sea and relaxation - you'll get the sun and you can walk down to the sea if you feel up to the trip. You will also be relaxed but only if you have not paid over the odds and can live with the many "extras" you simply will not have bargained for - getting up extra early for a sunbed, being extra careful as you walk around the place and making sure you get to the restaurant extra early.
The pea soup pool was eventually treated with so many chemicals my six year old son will probably never have an eye infection as long as he lives. You go to Greece for sun, sea and relaxation - you'll get the sun and you can walk down to the sea if you feel up to the trip. You will also be relaxed but only if you have not paid over the odds and can live with the many "extras" you simply will not have bargained for - getting up extra early for a sunbed, being extra careful as you walk around the place and making sure you get to the restaurant extra early.

This hotel is advertised in the Thomas Cook brochure and web site as a 5 Star luxurious complex. Prior to going on the holiday I had read reviews which commented heavily on this hotel being more like a 3 star so I set off on the holiday with an open mind as to what to expect. This hotel provided me and my family with a good size room that was kept immaculate at all times by an extremely hard working cleaning staff member. However I feel that this was the only 5 star asset that the hotel had. Although the food was very good, the hotel let it's self down by the sub standard entertainment (although the team tried very hard they just weren't good for UK visitors). I can agree with previous comments relating to the lack of sunbeds of which to secure the beds you had to be up early (6am). hotel security was poor, this was highlighted by the number of teenagers being allowed to cause trouble once the entertainment finished at midnight. The hotel manager said he was not to be expected to police this issue. (To an extent I agree that this is down to parental (lack of) control. The hotel is linked to its sister hotel (Rodos Maris) which is located 100m away, fortunately this with held the allocated 5 star rating with the Rodos Village being the poor relation. We discovered that the improvements had been ploughed in the Rodos Maris and the Rodos Village had took a back seat and kept its rating by association only. The staff did work extremely hard but were up against a constant struggle of residents who would have been best suited on a Butlins Fun weekend. The Thomas Cook Rep in the hotel was informing visitors that the hotel was only a 3 star!, part acknowledgement to this is that next years brochure has the hotel as a 4 star. Almost there but i think the loss of 1 more star would be more like it. Although me and my family had an excellent time, this was not due to the hotel, but down to the people we met and enjoyed our time with. These views are not isolated, they are the ones of everyone we met from the UK. Unfortunately we paid 5 star prices for a 3 star holiday. I always try to make my own judgement on holidays and are not easily swayed by others opinions as some people are intent on moaning for moaning sake, but on this occasion the reviews were spot on. I will not be staying here again and won't be recommending this to anyone either.

I also read the comments about the Rodos Village. I went out expecting it not to be a 5 star hotel. Okay it wasn't but the cleaners worked so hard morning, noon and night to keep the hotel clean.
While we were away there were fires, so it was a bit noisy. This lasted nearly a week, but the Greek people were fantastic, and our rep kept us informed of progress. The firefighters and the army did a brilliant job putting out this mammoth task by filling up with sea water every 10-15 minutes.
The Rodos Village staff were fantastic. If you are going on holiday here, def go to the Amphitheatre entertainment, we saw a black and white show which was so good that everyone enjoyed it. The Rock bar staff are fantastic, especially Valentino who was another Tom Cruise in Cocktail (not the looks but throwing ice in the air and catching it).
We didnt really venture outside of the complex, although we took the bus to Lindos one day which cost 2 euro on the bus there, and 2 euro back, worth going to visit, but very hot.
On the whole the holiday was really good, worth the money - I give it 8/10.

lovely hotel.Quite a way off the beaten track, but the car hire across the road from the hotel was pretty cheap.there are a few little shops across the road.food was very nice,rooms were very clean.Staff were friendly apart from one of the bar staff i had read about on the forum brfore going.Yes, old misery guts was very easy to spot,he might even still be there this year unless someone has locked him up for his own saftey!! only a short bus ride away frm lindos, which is a must to visit.It only takes a couple of hours to drive around the whole island,plenty of tavernas on the way!all in all, a fantastic holiday. would go again.would recommend this holiday for families.

i felt i needed to write in
i am a 14 year old and i loved this holiday
i went with my dad my 2 year old brother and my stepmum ,
as we arrived we were all a little dissapointed as we read it was a 5 star and that it was a beach hotel , it wasnt on the beach , as we had a pram it was very difficult as there are too many steps to get up to the pool and the entertainment theatre , the animation team were the best , the entertainment in the day was good but in the night very dissapointing , the food was brilliant , but as i am a fussy eater i lived in fruit and pasta , no chips in the night , the snack bar was amazing definately worth it for all inclusive , but the downside for me was that there was nothing around it , the other downsides were we had an earthquake , and a huge forest fire ! , which is still going , but too be honest i wouldnt reccomend this to family's ,

Just got back from a fantastic,enjoyable and friendly 2 weeks in the rodos village and I had to write a review for those people who are about to go there.DON'T WORRY THIS PLACE IS EXCELLENT.Yes the rooms are slightly dated and need a bit of tlc,but how long do you spend in a room?The rest of the hotel is spotless and all the staff friendly and very efficient.The food was great with plenty of choices to suit all tastes with a great setting overlooking the sea or you could sit inside in the cooler air conditioned areas,yes there are flys but tell me where you don't find these when you are in a hot country and the restaurant is open air!! You have the choice to drink from a number of bars including a beach bar which gave you drinks and snacks,something you don't always find covered on your all inclusive so a real bonus.
There is also the pizzaria which is superb and gives you the chance to be waited on for a change! You do have to book this early at the reception but it is well worth getting up early for.
The hotel was mostly occupied by europeans during our stay and I must state that this was a pleasant surprise,they where great fun and friendly, only on rare occasions was there the odd act of rudeness.
You do have to get up early to get a sun lounger but tell me where you dont! Anyway it is well worth it at the main pool because you will be superbly entertained by two of the nicest most talented people you are likley to meet anywhere,Ramsey and Mido.These two are the main members of a quite superb annimation team led by Gino,they work extraordinary long hours,15hrs a day 6 days aweek,yet they always kept me and my family entertained,Water polo,darts,aqua gym, aerobics as well as just chatting.(I must'nt forget dj Alex who was also fabulous fun around the pool)If you joined in the fun,it was great.A message to my fello ninjas (HE HA WHO HA ARGH!!!) and for those people who met the sixth spice girl (ROMAN) AIEE AIEE !!
At night time it was of to the amphitheatre,a great setting where you where entertained by the most talented annimation team ever.Again Ramsey and Mido where the main men but they where supported by the rest of the team who all gave everything they had to entertain you.Some of the things Ramsey and Mido did would not be out of place at any show anywhere in the world,truly outstanding,these two would be big part of our decision to return,yes,they are that good...14 nights,14 different shows,excellent.
The hotel is secluded but it is clearly stated in all brouchers,so why people are complaining about this i've no idea,I would suggest that you hire a car if possible because the rest of the island is a must see.
The hotel is very hilly so if this is problem don't go as some are very steep.
All in all a great holiday,maybe not 5 star but for sheer enjoyment 10 star!!

At first I was quite disappointed with the hotel. The rooms were very small, as a teenager, I had to share a room with my grandparents where the beds were all in the same small space. The furnishings in the room were all peeling and the balcony was so small the shutters wouldn't open properly. Except the room we were very pleased with the rest of the holiday. There was a variety of foods and a wide range of drinks, the staff working at dinner were very friendly and were very happy to help out. The main building was stunning and very clean. There was many bars which accomodated to all guests of the hotel. The staff at reception were also very friendly and were willing to help out where needed. Pool areas were kept clean and tidy, the main pool area also had a little kabana that served hot and cold food and drinks. But the part of the holiday that was most outstanding was the hotels Animation Squad. They offered sports and fun in and around the pool, darts, and beachsports. At night they provided excellent entertainment and a mini-disco for younger children. I have given high accomodations to the entertainment crew and hotel (and if you have stayed at the hotel then you may get the joke), if you give the hotel a bad review then 'RED CARD IN THE POOL!!!!!'

We ended up having a flight delay, arriving at our destination after midnight. Tired and hungry, we were pleased to be offered fresh rolls and apples. Could have done with some drinks too but the bars were shut,and we couldn't drink the tap water. We were shown to our rooms, which were lovely. Very spacious and clean with air conditioning, and a balcony with views of the sea. Plenty of storage space was provided too.
The buffet restaurant offered a good range of food, with a good choice of traditional greek dishes too. Even the fussiest amongst us managed to find something to eat!My only criticism would be that although the food offered varied from day to day,it became a bit boring after 2 weeks-however, the pool bar offered a range of food too, so it was nice to have a choice of where to eat at lunch. The pizzeria was a great alternative and we took advantage of it a couple of times. The pizzas were gorgeous,and the views of the pool and sea were stunning.
The bars offered a fair range of cocktails using non branded spirits. Don't expect cocktail umbrellas and slices of fruit shoved on the side of the glass!! The staff at the rock bar were very hospitable, and more than happy for us to create our own concoctions. Ask for "Eyes Closed" if you decide to go there!!
The animation team were great fun, and worked hard to involve us in games both in and out of the pool. Water aerobics was led by Toto, who was very amusing. The kids all got involved with water polo and we all loved the cheesy latino song and dance played at the end of the game!
The animation team carried on working hard until late at night, providing the nightly entertainment in the amphitheatre. Lots of visual comedy, kids disco, karaoke, greek dancing and bingo were provided. Be prepared for alot of multi-lingual dialogue...and sometimes tacky but good fun! Well done to Evie, Daniella, Alex, Lenka, Eduardo,lucas, Gio, Bebe and Muigi and the rest of the team.
The beach was nice, maybe a little gritty- but sunloungers were provided, the beach bar had a selection of snacks including hotdogs and slices of watermelon, and the canoes were free. It's worth getting a cheap snorkel as the water is beautifully clear and there are plenty of fish!
The bus stops are just outside the hotel. Visit Lardos if you want to see a really laid back, authentic greek village. Costs less than 2 euros to get there, and Memories bar do gorgeuos cocktails for 5. The guys that run the bar are really friendly and we ended up spending our last evening there just for the atmosphere..
Pefkos is lovely, but a bit more "touristy" The glass bottom boat trip there is worth checking out, we had a fantastic couple of afternoons sailing around the coastline by a really friendly host with a cracking sense of humour.
Lindos is gorgeous, very picturesque. The bay contains the most amazing turquoise sea and the houses are unspoilt. There's a good choice of rooftop restaurants. We had lunch at Stefanos where you could get a kids meal for 4 euros, and adult's for around 7.
Shimba bar is just over the road from the hotel. It's gorgeous, although the drinks are quite pricey- but still worth checking out.
Our group contained kids as young as three and teenagers too. They all had fun, and there was plenty to keep them all occupied. For us adults, there was plenty to do if you're not into lazing around on a sunlounger all day.
