I have just returned from lloret with my university, we stayed in this hotel during lloretfest and to be honist it was not a great experience. Firstly the "security guard" who stands in reception all day telling people to be quiet and put their shoes on was ignorant and... more

I went to this hotel with a very open mind after reading several reports. Traveled with my partner and found this hotel to be fine. Arrive at about half 6 to be welcomed and check in quickly, were not told where any thing was apart from room on first floor. The only thing a... more

When we arrived at hotel it looked good. First night our room was horrible it was at the far end of hotel you thought you were in a hostel also looking out at cement wall. Never got any sleep the first night with young ones partying, walls were paper thin so you could hear... more

We arrived with an opened mind about this long weekend break, due to the low cost we paid. The reception staff are rude and unhelpful. The hotel was 90% occupied by foreign teenagers (15-19 years), who caused mayhem 24/7 throughout the hotel. The food was disgusting, (not... more

On arrival the hotel seems impressive. However, was initially booked into a Red room on E floor which had no balcony and directly above engineering plant unit which made a loud continuous humming noise. There was also a large tree and shrubbery outside the window making... more

The hotel would not give our deposit back at the end of our stay, when there was nothing wrong with our room and they wouldnt even check this. I asked if they could go and check it, so i could get my deposit back soon, as i had to leave to catch my plane and they kept... more

As we arrived we could just tell by the surroundings and the attitude of the rude staff that this was not the holiday for myself and partner. Once we found our room was devestated to find we were overlooking a a type of air conditioning unit. Anybody had easy access to our... more

Visited with children and distinctly unimpressed. Rooms often not cleaned and noise levels constant throughout the night. Food lukewarm and bland. Hotel staff unfriendly and unwelcoming. Resort tacky and not safe for young girls. Very disappointing would never go back.

After missing our return flights we returned to Lloret (pronounced ya -ret) and booked into the Don Juan hotel. It has an impressive reception area consisting of marble and the reception staff were more than amicable. We were allocated rooms in Rojo (Red) and the rooms were... more

worst new year ever!!
in our group was 2 families, each with 2 kids aged 8 and 15,we booked this hotel for the new year as it was advertised as great family hotel with kids club loads of entertainment and disco, when we arrived we were greeted with a reception desk full of oaps, the receptionist was very grumpy and not helpful.the rooms were ok even though there were 4 single beds next to each other squashed into a small room, you had to walk on beds to get to balcony, and tv didnt work, and you were only given 1 toilet roll, which when empty they didnt refill, and maid... more
Get what you pay for
Having just returned from the Don Juan this November I have to say all the reviews are a little harsh !. Its true the place is full of Spanish elderly folk , but then it is Spain in Winter a bit like going to Bournemouth or Torquay in winter, and yes the food was not to an English palate .but you can still get coffee and rolls etc for breakfast. The Hotel its self is a little dated , but clean and tidy as were the rooms the staff were very helpful and the bar prices were very resonable . Our two night break half board cost only £60 for my... more
not too bad
I was expecting a horrendous time after the reviews I read but the rooms were clean, had air con.beds made daily and towels changed daily. All pools appeared clean, plenty sunloungers, indoor pool useful as it rained for 2 days whilst we were there. Food was fine and plentiful, I Hate Brits moaning about the food because its not burger and chips! It was typical spanish food, after all we were in SPAIN!!! Lovely Paella and for those Brits who like their home comforts there was always a lamb/pork chop and chips on the menu! As it was a... more
Not all bad
the hotel was not the greatest hotel i have stay in. Theworst thing about the hotel is that there is no air conditioning. However the rooms were clean and i very much enjoyed the food, there was a lot to try. The only other negative point about this resort is that there are not enough sun loungers and it's very much a case of getting up at 8 to put a towel on the beds-which is not great on a holiday-however the beach is very nice and only a five minute walk through the town. I enjoyed my stay in the area, it was a little rowdy and more... more
Looks nice...until you get inside
I have just arrived back from my week stay in this hotel. Looking at the website, I was looking forward to the accomadation and service. But arriving in the room, it was a disgrace. The showers were running and brown water was dripping from it. The cupboards had wine stains on them and the drawers were covered in graffitti. Breakfast was very inconveinient as the food seemed to be slightly off and the staff didnt seem to understand english to meet my needs.
nice hotel with bad food
the hotel was quite nice, nice facilties, loads of old people were dancing day in, day out, really nice atmosphere, rooms are ok, i personally had a room which were right next to the outdoor swimming pool which was nice, however the food was not good at all, it was so bad i ate out every night at mcdonalds.
good value break
We went for a short break last week and yes, it was filled with more mature Spanish guests but so what! They were all out to have a good time and were much more interesting than the few moaning people from the UK who were unhappy about the weather - it WAS January - and the food - which was perfectly adequate and plentiful. The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean and warm and the price we paid for all inclusive was a bargain. Certainly no complaints from me!
Never again
We are just back from this hotel and lloret, anyway when we arrived it was a nice big hotel, clean and the girl at reception was very pleasent.we went to our room on 5th floor looking over the pool, great it was clean. Then at dinner time it was pigs trotters and fish heads, and other stuff that brits hadnt a clue what it was.that was every meal, but the spannish ate it(they would eat ---- i think).all the other thing you expect are ok.they pulled the ceiling down to get air con and expected 4 families to live with it.no way. i... more

I loved it there
I'm a student fron Poland and I was there two weeks in September and I really enjoyed it there. They had wonderfull staff, delicious meals and the rooms were clean. I found it easy to communicate with the people there because I speak Spanish. If you go there expecting everybody to speak your language (English) you will be disappointed. But can you expect this when you go to the country you should speak a little of their language, don't you think? Anyway the staff was really friendly there and I think it's a good place for a student
