We booked this hotel directly via email the day before departing and then sorted the flights. Risky, but was no problem at all.
A good, clean hotel although in a fairly run-down area East of Albufeira. The hotel staff are some of the most efficient, friendly and courteous staff I have ever met around the world and I cannot praise them too highly.
The interior of the hotel is clean although could certainly do with a lick of paint in places.
We booked a sea view room which was very nice although the bed was VERY hard and would have been too much if we hadn't made the best use of the entertainment down town each night and felt no pain all night.
The food was good and plentiful but as the vast majority of guests were German did tend towards their tastes rather than the British ones. Staff will initially speak to you in German (they are Portuguese) but can easily switch to good English once they know your German is non-existent.
Would I stay there again? Yes. Definitely.
A taxi into Albufeira costs between 3 - 6 Euros and is best taken from the taxi rank (5 mins walk) rather than booked via the hotel.
We found the Old Town of Albufeira to be much more entertaining than the new part (we are in our late 30's) as the new part, known as the Strip, was a bit too much like Blackpool with sun. The old part is much better arranged and is great fun without the Stag party crowd.
Sir Harry's bar was the best to start off at then move on to either the Rock cafe of just walk along the side streets and choose your music style. We ended up back at Sir Harry's bar each evening from about 11 as the staff are superb, the music is ok, and the cocktails cheap and huge. It also stayed open till 5am!!

Just spent a relaxing week at the Falesia Hotel. The hotel offers everything you need, there is a large pool and beautiful gardens with plenty of sunbeds. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly.
the entertainment was mostly done by the Thomson reps, and although they were very good it did get a bit tiresome seeing the same singers every night.
The resort is very quiet with a few shops and restaurants all on the one road and there is very little to do there. The local bus service is excellent and you can get to Albuferia in 10 mins for about 2 euros.
the beach is a good walk away from the hotel and I would recommend you use the hotel courtesy bus.
If you are just looking for a relaxing quiet holiday in lovely surroundings then this hotel is ideal.

This is an excellent 4* hotel - We chose it on the recommendation of friends! The hotel is only 15/20 minutes easy drive from the Vilamoura golf courses, in a stunning setting. The food was excellent, and the staff always helpful, courteous and smiling! We had a great week and will definitely be returning.

Very nice hotel, very friendly staff, food excellent, room service excellent, bar staff excellent, pool very nice shame about the pool snack bar food, not very nice.
Short walk down to the beach via some steps so maybe not for the infirm or elderly, but the hotel was very clean, the grounds also very clean, there is some building work going on across the road from the hotel, but it did not bother us, as there was not any noise.
Very quiet area only a few bars and restaurants there.
You can walk to the next town to Vilamoura, which is very nice; there is a marina with some very nice yachts, lots of restaurants and shops.
We enjoyed our holiday very much and will be going back very soon.
