The Pestana Dom João Village is a comfortable and well-situated Beach Resort that enjoys a unique and enviable setting with direct access to Alvor Beach. The Alvor Estuary, close to the hotel, is one of the countrys most important bird sanctuaries. The Pestana Dom João Village comprises a Hotel (the Pestana Dom João II), an Aparthotel (the Pestana Alvor Atlântico), refurbished throughout in 2001, and Villas. My husband and I went in September 2004 and stayed at the Pestana Dom Joao 2 it was the best holiday ever. The hotel was clean and the staff was very polite and spoke perfect English.

There was entertainment every night at the hotel. The food was great . Amazing beach.
