" relaxing holiday "

well we booked this via the net never been on an all inclusive before and was not too sure whether it was for us.all i can say was it was a lovely relaxing well worth the break holiday, before the christmas rush we had a superb room with a jacuzi front 1st floor villa over looking the beach, well impressed with the room and view, the food was fab,a different theme every night on offer, the al a cart meal resturant was pretty ok,the staff were very nice and helpful, the snorking was good,my husband was impressed with everything on offer .,cannot fault anything,really..a stressed free holiday just before christmas, the weather at that time of year was pushing at least 30. a little windy .....some days but that was welcomed....

Advice: A FABULOUS PLACE TO RELAX

" fantastic!! "

we have just come back and we cant praise this hotel enough. You are made to feel very welcome, the staff cant do enough for you. The rooms are kept clean and there is plenty of choice in the resturant ( although you had the usual people who only seemed to eat chips everyday!) It was my birthday whilst we were away and we had been out allday but on entering our room the cleaner had arranged all my birthday cards on the bed and made swans and hearts out of towels, which was a lovely touch, also i had a cake and a fruit basket delivered to the room. As with other reviews yes the inside bar areas are smokey, but why sit inside when the weather is so lovely!!! We did the VIP boat trip which was great, very relaxing and it takes you around the Ras Mohammed nature reserve so plenty of chances to snorkel, which you must try its brill, i had never done it before and dont swim that well but its so worth it. The airport is a nightmare if your not planning on going out of sharm you dont need a visa but they still ferry you into the visa queue. They take your tickets off you (dont have heart failure like i nearly did at this point) the rep gets them back for you on the coach. Once at hotel switch off , relax and enjoy . Naama bay is like Marmite you love it or hate it, ours was the latter but you need to make your own mind up, head for the hard rock cafe, which is where everyone else seemed to be taking refuge!!!

Advice: go the beach is great

Activities: VIP cruise around Ras Mohammed

" Coral Sea jan 29 - feb 12 "

Have just returned from 2 weeks at Coral Sea Resort Sharm el Sheik.
Booked holiday on spur of moment and what a lovely time we had. Weather was great, hotel complex was lovely, and the beach was just stones throw from hotel grounds. Hotel complex was kept very neat and tidy and could almost have been an English garden, there were plenty of sunloungers and shady areas around the pool area which was very large with 2 pools and a children's pool. The beach was good with clear waters and some days at only ankle deep, and plenty of sunloungers and umbrellas all set up on the beach.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and approachable.
We had a lovely, relaxing time and look forward to going again.

"  Coral Sea Oriental Resort 26/jan-2nd feb "

Hi if you have never been to sharm you must go we had never been before to egypt and this was our first, and what more can i say the hotel was brilliant!!
The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome the food is great. they have an al a carte resturant an itailan. its nothing special you can use this once a week however you have to pay for the drinks in there.
the salads in the hotel are all washed in bottled water which was good.
The entertainment I thought was rather good, they have a good animation team which i thought they worked the socks off and put a smile on everyones faces.
If you go say a big hi them sandman was good and there is one of them who wants to be like will smith!! which was quite funny!!
They put on a show most nights and they did games though the day around the pool which was good.
As soon as you get to the complex the rep will arrange a meeting for trips and stuff a word of warning the trips aint cheap!!
First Choice Trip prices are mostly all over priced.
There is an operator on the beach near the jetty on the complex and they will offer you most of the same trips for cheaper and they are insured!!
First choice will give you the bull about them not being but they are they just want your cash, and you will save a few quid.
I found this too late into our hoilday as we had already booked trips diving, stars and dinner, quad bikes.
I normally would never go back to hotel again but in this case i would.
This was the best hoilday we had ever had.
We loved the diving and the quads was fun too.
All i can say is a big thanks to the people out there in sharm
And another thing if your after a wii board and cant get one anywhere buy one at the airport on the way going out 60 quid bargin!!

Advice: its def worth going you can walk out in the sea for miles great for kids

Activities: loved the diving if never done it before you got to try

" A Great Hotel Families "

I've recent just come back from staying at the oriental restort in egypt i went for one week with three kids age 3, 5, 6, i read the review on internet and wasnt sure what to expect but it was better then i could imagine, we asked for a ground floor room with a pool view and we got it, the weather was brilliant. there is a heated outdoor pool next to play ground which was brilliant the maintenance on the park was great it was really clean, the boys loved it. there was a disco at night for the kids, In the restaurant there is a seperate place for kids so you can enjoy your meal, the restaurant staff cant do enough for you. outside the hotel there is millions of shops and restauarnts so plenty to do day and night. the beach was fab plenty to do again, free ice cream between 12pm and 4pm. and it was nice. coffee is english as well, when purchasing goods do shop around, it's hard work but worth it. so all in all i had a amazing hoilday. i will be putting up photographs. oh the hotel has great surrounds. enjoy your hoildays you wont be disappointed believe me xxx

" Great Hotel For Smokers "

Having just arrived back from a lovely sunny 2 weeks in the sun I thought I ought to mention a few things about this Hotel for others. Whilst the Hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff very friendly; could not do enough for you and the food was plentiful and very good it was let down by the smokey atmosphere around the bar area and the Finleys Irish Pub. We could not sit in the Lobby area for long as the smoke just got too much. The Irish Pub was very heavy with smoke and just like being at Butlins Holiday Camp, with screaming children in there until late at night. It was very unpleasant. As this was the only entertaining area, we had to retire early to get out of the smokey atmosphere. The grounds are lovely and well-kept, but it was let down by only having one small heated pool. Early in the mornings there were towels on the beds. The pool was very crowded and noisy. The large pool however was lovely. It is just a shame that no-one could swim in it as it was icy cold. I could not recommend this Hotel because of the smoke. The area is under-developed and there is not much outside of the Hotel. There are nicer places to go in Egypt.

" Brilliant "

Just arrived home would you believe to rain after spending 11 nights at this wonderful comlex. Having been elsewhere in Sharm last new year and disappointed didn't expect it to be great this time - how wrong can you be. The room was spotless, linen and towels excellent. Very impressed with the sani hand cleanser dispensers outside the main restaurant (buffet meal). We had an excellent meal in the Italian restaurant 1 of the optional weekly choices. All the staff were extremely polite no task too great. Really good booking in and checking out proceedure. Plenty of space around the pools, sun beds in bountiful supply. We had lovely sunshine - not too hot although on a couple of days quite a cold wind blowing. Only downside is there are quite a few steps to climb if your rooms are on the first floor and upwards - no lifts. Would recommend this complex for people of all ages it was so good we are booking again for later in the year. Give it whirl.

Advice: Impressed this time.

Activities: enjoyed the Aqua scope trip (even saw scuba diver fish)

" tonic for the winter blues "

I!ve just returned from a weeks hol with my partner and our 2 yr old son, this was my 4th time to sharm, first time for the rest of the family. Coral sea was recommended so i thought why not. Jan was a perfect time for our son, hot but not too hot, he loved the heated swimming pool but we weren't one of those familys that sent the mother down at the crack of dawn to reserve sun loungers, snorkel on one, towel on another, flipflops on another, toothbrush on another, the same loungers every morning, then went back to bed, so sad!! we were all down for breakfast by 7.30am then got down to the unheated pool or the beach by 9am, plenty of sunloungers and peace and quiet, not the thumping music by the heated pool. we took our son up there a couple of times a day and he loved it. Not a good area for snorkling, if you want that stay in a hotel near sharks bay or ras um sid, good for wind surfing though etc. food was good plenty of choice, being a fitness instructor i'm very fussy about what i eat and we had plenty of variety, how do they make such nice bread? we avoided the cakes etc apart from the ice cream, but for some people it just seemed cakes 'n' puddins was part of their staple diet even for breakfast. Health 'n' safety in the gym was none existant, 7 'n' 8 year olds using the equipment without supervision parents nowhere to be seen, at one point there were 2 kids on the same treadmill going hell for leather (dwain chambers look out)an accident waiting to happen!! PARENTS!! YOU WOULDN'T DO IT AT HOME, DON'T DO IT ABROAD!!!! The staff were very friendly but you'll find that in all the hotels, they didn't pester us atall about booking a massage which i found to be an issue with other hotels, once we got asked, so a thumbs up coral sea. Us English don't like being pushed or hassled into buying things and i think the Egyptians are slowly grasping that fact. The hotel was clean throughout our room was kept clean but we did notice the chocolate a can of lager and 2 bottles of water disapear out of the mini bar, neither me or my partner drink and i'm sure our 2yr old son didn't have it, reception didn't charge us for it when we checked out! The farewell dance for each coach on departure was a nice touch. Over all Coral sea gets a thumbs up and we will be going back again!! Even though my suitcase ended up in Birmingham and not Bristol.

Advice: Go! you'll love it

Activities: I go for the diving

" Loved this holiday! "

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Coral Sea Resort and absolutely loved it, we had a great time. There is so much to do on the complex in the day and evening. Some people complain about the evening entertainment but we enjoyed playing bingo and there was always some act on afterwards, even the reps put on a panto on the last night for us. If you want something different one evening get a taxi to Naama Bay, yes you get hassled to go in bars and shops but jut say firmly no and walk on.
The food was spot on, lots of variety on the buffet and they had different themed nights, Chinese night, fish night etc. The a la carte Italian restaurant where you can vitit once per week is spot on, you just pay for your drinks there! We also went to the Indian one evening which is in the Mermaid Beach bar, this again was lovely.
The pool was lovely, very big and the swim up bars are brilliant! We didn't have a problem finding a suned any day as there were only 2 of us but I did notice large parties reserving sunbeds for about 4 hours which i don't think is fair. If you can't find a sun bed one day the hotel is litterally on the beach so you could go on those sun beds. You don't need to take beach towels as these are provided, even if you go somewhere else for the day. We went to the waterpark which was reall good as well.
If you've booked and you have read some bad reviews, please ignore them, they are probably just the kind of people who like to complain about everything! One morning at breakfast there was no bread at the side of the toaster and a woman started shouting at the waiter, me and my boyfriend went and sliced our own from the fresh bread counter and toasted that and when the waiter returned with the toasting bread this woman saw ours and shouted at him that we had better bread! silly woman!
Have a great time!

" : )  "

As a teenager myself, i went on here with my mum , dad and younger brother,, and we all LOVED IT !!!
It was The Best Holiday the family had ever been on and we would definatly go again and recomend it !!!
On arrival ,, even though there was queit alot of people it dint take long to check in,, the resurant was also open late for us to eat and drink when we arrived after our flight.
We Went for two weeks ,, but the first few days were boring (but this is mostly to do with the fact that i hadnt met any friends yet !!) The Wether Was Gorgeous :),, Very Very HOT (Which of course was better then good).
The Pools were amazing(my perants of course where at the pool bar alot of the time) It was clean and very big,, and the smaller pool wasnt bad either,, but the only promblem with being around the smaller pool is that you couldn't here the music !!!
The Rooms where massive and very spaceious,, the rooms and bathroom were also very clean. The food was gorgeous all of it everyday. The entertainment was the good but some of the entertainers made it better especailly Nathan he was very funny and a good laugh. The water sports where great too, and diving was great too we went on a few diving trips with Aquarias which did really good worth whild trips. Altogther this was an awesome holiday and we would definatly recomend it to anyone and we would definaly go back again. :) x

Advice: We loved the resort so much, and would definaty go back again and reccomend it

Activities: Diving was the most enjoy able part

" Ace Holiday **** "

Well what can i say - absolutley wonderful!!
Arrived on 18/12/2008 and back to dull B'ham 25/12/2008.
Me, my hubby, my mom (65) and 2 teenagers!
We all had a great time and can not say enough about this complex!! All postive, food, people, service, cleaniness etc.
The only 1 negative thing i can say is that the entertainment area ie Irish Bar is full of smoke. Fine if you're smoker but if not, its just too much!!
The entertainment itself is typical of these kind of places ie AI. The same in tenerife last year. Basic and sometimes funny, but you have to give them 10/10 for trying.
Will definately going back next year but this time for 2 weeks!!
YOU'LL LOVE IT!!

" Your JOKING RIGHT? "

The best holiday I've ever had in my life and trust me, I've been on a few. I actually sobbed my little heart out on the way home, I really did not want to leave.
You really could not fault the resort and for all those people slagging it off, a holiday is what you make it be! You could go to the most lucious place on earth but if you stayed in bed and did not participate then thats your fault!
Food: Like having sainsbury's cooked! So much, of all different varieties. You fancied it and I guarantee they probably would have had it. Steak, seafood, salads. And what is all this bollocks about not getting enough water? Get off your fat asses and walk to the bar! Dirty looks, I don't think so! They had mine and my three sisters drinks waiting behind the bar before we even got in the room! Sickness!?! Out of 10 of us, none got sick at all! And no-one that was there did either! And if you don't like it, you've always got McD's (try the Big Mac Chicken), KFC, TGI's !!!
Drinks: Limited variety yes, but all the basics, make cocktails experiment! They were never warm, andd there is a water machine by the pool bar, so you can avoid these so called dirty looks!
Entertainment: Had two sets, the hotel is catering to you and for a fact when they thought First Choice weren't quite cutting it, they pulled in another team. Loads of laughs with both teams, getting involved, water aerobics, pool, ping pong, competitions, singing, dancing, the spinning man, a nail and glass artist! Entertainment finishes about 11, then its on for the disco. What a wicked DJ, let us bring down our ipods plug them in to make sure a ray of different tastes were catered to. Drinks bought to the table, bar men dancing with you. Even on our holiday, people weren't staying until the end of the disco, but who cares on more than one occassion, me, my sisters and only another family were in there and we just danced the night away! The family actually came up to us on the last day and told us that we made their holiday great, because we were laughing and showing how much it meant to be together and happy and having a great time, making the most of an amazing holiday.
Service: How could you have something bad to say about the staff!?! The most genuwine and hospitable people that we had ever met. My tears were for the staff. When meeting friends out there who had previous been there before, the staff cried to see them leave. I can't wait to go back and see them soon! They all joined in our silly games in the pool, getting involved and turning to friends. If you do go and you should Ahmed Atef at the first bar is your man! He's amazing! Tell him I say hi! These guys are there to make the best experience for you! On one night we asked for an extra duvet because we liked it cold but one of the sisters liked it hot in the room. The duvet got there before we did and we walked straight back!
Rooms: A bed so big that me and my two sisters of which we are all grown women all shared! Veranda or what! If you wanted to stay in,and I would not know why the balcony is big enough to have a party for the Queen let alone doing abit of sunbathing! Rooms were cleaned daily to an impressive standard and the artwork left on the bed from fresh towels is amazing! Crocodiles, Swans, Hearts. AC was a dream when it got hot and it worked very well, with adjustable settings to get it just right for yourself. Bathroom extremly clean and fresh towels provided whenever you needed them.
Seriously it was AMAZING and I'm not just saying that as a one off experience. if you look on the trees when you get there, there are placks with families names, hundreds....these families have been there 6 times or more!
You won't regret it!
