" 1st class hotel and staff, who... "

1st class hotel and staff, who couldn’t do enough for you. The food was amazing and plenty of it, bar staff could do with a bit more training as to how to pull a beer, but it should all come together eventually. Try the quad biking its a great way to spend 3-4 hrs. The entertainment could be better but the first choice reps

Did a good job with the resources they had. All in all a great place to have a holiday, I’ve booked again for November 06.cant wait to get back there.

" This hotel was excellent, We had a... "

This hotel was excellent, We had a sea view double room-and it was very large as was the balcony this room was cleaned to a very high standard-and we were spoiled my our room cleaner.

All staff are very friendly and work hard for you to have an enjoyable stay. Security was excellent and not in your face, you felt safe at all times. The food was good and you never went hungry. The snorkelling is excellent and you can walk out for miles before it gets deep. There are 2 pools one of the 2 being for quieter times.

The telly in your rooms has all free movie channels and more. The sea temp in sep was 28, as warm as a bath. We loved it so much so we are going back this year.

" A brand new hotel that had been... "

A brand new hotel that had been opened 6 months so most of the teething problems had been ironed out. Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings and great staff that couldn't do enough for you. Lots to do, however was lovely surroundings to just do nothing and relax by the pool.

The hotel has its own in-house First Choice entertainment team who were good fun but didn't force you to run and hide like many other "Animation Teams" - pretty much left you to your own devices if you so wanted.

As an all inclusive the food was OK, however did get a bit boring as the week went on. Great cocktails in the Irish Bar.

" I’m 15 yrs. and this is a review... "

I’m 15 yrs. and this is a review from a teen’s point of view! There are a few bad points about the hotel but also loads of good ones. My overall holiday was great as the excursions I went on were amazing! (Garden reef snorkelling was awesome!).

In the hotel the swimming pool was freezing so there was hardily anybody ever in the pool and the pool bar I was never served at but older people were. The rooms were fine; however housekeeping was very often at the most random times, always when we were in our rooms! And girlies watch out for the men. Very flirtatious! (Especially Naama bay... hoodies work well!).

I also found the entertainment quite bad, as I never really ever had anything to do in the hotel except sunbathe or eat! The food was really nice especially the cake but once the main restaurant has closed for the night at 10.30 there is no way of getting anymore food except for room service which is not all-included!

However I loved the atmosphere in the hotel! And there were lots of other people my age there so that was another really good thing.

So that’s my review and whoever is going there I hope u have an awesome time...!
Also remember to take mozzy spray because my leg was bitten alive and it was disgusting!

Bye!

" The Coral Sea Resort is a welcoming... "

The Coral Sea Resort is a welcoming oasis from the surrounding dust bowl which stretches out inland. The location is top notch, the pool and beach area blend seamlessly into one another.

The staff are extremely friendly or is that grateful for our business, which ever it was the result is the same. NOTHING is too much trouble. The grounds are manicured to a ridicules high standard by teams of young grounds men who consistently tend to the lawns and flowerbeds.

On the downside, well there is not alot to say, I’d like to make the following recommendations though. Satellite TV could be upgraded to include Sky news. The bar staff need to learn to pour a beer, not a glass of froth and two inches of beer. Cheers!!! On beer the bottled Stella is a nice brew, nothing to do with the Belgium version. But the Skarah which is on draft around the complex is so weak and an obvious cheap inferior product.

Watch out for the Irish bar where I am convinced it was watered down so much I ended up drinking! cocktails!!!!! No brollies thou. Food was good and plenty of it, sun shone everyday. Just wished the First choice reps gave the poolside mic a day off too. Top Holiday : )))

" On arriving at the hotel my partner... "

On arriving at the hotel my partner and were stunned and after initially getting lost trying to find our room one of the security staff led us there. This was to be the first experience of how good the staff were in the hotel.

The room in general was excellent even though we were UNLUCKY to only have a view of the dive pool although the ground floor terrace was excellent for sun bathing and was protected from the often strong wind for the time of year.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful we can not think of a single thing they did wrong. I once left our bag by the pool bar with valuables inside and it was returned to our room before we knew it was missing.

The food was of a high quality and if anyone says that there was nothing to eat then they belong on the QE2 with the rest of the toffs.

The reps we can't comment on because we never had any reason to complain or query anything other than our pick up time for our journey back to the airport.

I have read every comment on this web site and all seemed to be disappointed with the entertainment staff. I disagree, they are working with very limited resources and work very hard at what they do there was always something to do.

" Very impressed with the size of the... "

Very impressed with the size of the complex itself. Pools were out of this world, although they weren't heated, once you were in and acclimatized to it, it was fine.

All Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful.
Wide choice of food and drinks to choose from, all to a high standard.

Rooms overlooking pool and sea were large and spacious. Although they looked a bit too bare, they were very comfy, and house keeping were three times a day and always left something special on the bed made out of a nightdress or t-shirt left in there, it made it seem more personal and they all took pride in their work.
Out of all the hotels in the world, we found the staff here were the most helpful when they could be.

The only downside to the holiday was sometimes the Entertainers lowered the tone and made the resort seem like it was an 18-30s Holiday Camp. In the pool bar they only played what music they wanted, or the guests they were 'in' with wanted. They didn't really seem approachable. They appeared cliquey and only seemed to involve those people they drank with in the evenings. The actual First Choice reps were very professional and did a great job.

I would actually come back here to this complex with children and friends, but for a Honeymoon it wasn't as romantic and relaxing as I would have liked. It is ideal for families rather than couples.

" Thought that it was amazing, very... "

Thought that it was amazing, very much enjoyed my 2 weeks there. The reps were very friendly and co-operative. Although beware of the staff, very flirty.

Pools were very impressive although during my stay one of the pools was being cleaned and wasn’t in operation for nearly a week! Pool side bars were great if you needed a drink during the day though do close a bit early.

Restaurant was good and there was also food for English food lovers e.g. Chips and pasta. Although men do have to wear a shirt in the restaurant which makes it difficult to have lunch during the day.

Petra excursion was fantastic but does cost alot. Also the Aquarius diving club was brilliant and the snorkelling excursion was good too but was disappointed in the dolphin show as we were late. When having our pictures taken with the dolphins we were rushed and the man refused to give us change.

" STAFF - 10 out of 10! Couldn't do any... "

STAFF - 10 out of 10! Couldn't do any more for you. Cheerful and efficient. Were concerned over customer satisfaction & anxious to hear of any improvements we could suggest. We were questioned several times throughout our 2 week stay.

The HOTEL - great amenities, stunning grounds. Two pools with swim up bars, one also had simulated shoreline which was great for kids. The most comfortable cushioned sun loungers we've ever had, both poolside & on the beach.

ROOM - spacious, clean & comfortable. Excellent housekeeping staff.

BEACH - spacious, uncrowded private beach. Very shallow water which was to our great disappointment until we realised it was a snorkellers paradise. Either walk out to a swimming depth or use the jetty. The fish are all around but poles mark the coral, where an abundance of colourful fish are. A must is snorkelling kit, shoes and waterproof camera, all of which can be purchased at the hotel. Even if you're not sure it's for you - do go on a snorkelling excursion, an absolute must!

RESTAURANTS - you'll never please everybody as we all have different tastes. There was variety and it was adequate. Although I've tasted better, I've tasted far worse.

ENTERTAINMENT - I believe it was great for kids, but almost non existent for adults. I'm sure this will change as hotel is still very new. We had occassional folklore shows (which were great) lasting less than an hour. Unless going with a party of friends or family I would take playing cards or the like, to keep you amused while having a drink. (The bar staff will make your drinks as weak or as strong as you wish!)

OUT & ABOUT - Contrary to what we had read as being 10mins from centre (Naama Bay) it was 30mins by hotel shuttle bus, and slightly less by taxi. Well worth a visit. Nice restaurants & bars reasonably priced. Lovely to be free to walk about safely and not much hassle by shopkeepers. Nothing but hotels between this hotel and Naama Bay. Shops in hotel were good.

" Excellent hotel, friendly staff, well... "

Excellent hotel, friendly staff, well maintained rooms, excellent choice of food, lovely pool area, well looked after gardens and superb beach.

The only downfall would be the evening entertainment could be a little better-but this hotel is very very good and I highly recommend it.
" October...... at least 35 degrees!!!... "

October...... at least 35 degrees!!! Great transfer from the airport to the hotel itself (Beware of the trolley men who try to charge you £3.00 to use it) Also, beware of the men who try to take your bags from you to put them in the coach and try to charge you for it, 1 English pound!!!). We were very impressed by First choices reps.

Arrived late evening, the Hotel staff were very welcoming. On arriving we were told to leave our bags where they were so that a concierge took them to our room. However this took about an hour and all we really wanted to do was freshen up before our evening meal.
On walking into the restaurant area I was extremely impressed by the quality of the service provided by the staff. The food was amazing, and there was a huge choice! The staff were extremely friendly.

Our rooms were great, very clean and the air conditioning was a relief after each day from the heat!

The Irish bar staff were very friendly, however they poured too much vodka in the drinks which made the drinks unbearable!! half a glass of vodka and half coke!!!
The white wine was disgusting but the red a little more bearable!
And the beer....mmmmmmmm!!!!!

The entertainment provided by the First Choice staff was excellent! (Tash, Kelly, Nicky, Michael). Very impressed with Tash and Michael.

I would advise people to take Imodium AND also something for constipation!! I was prepared with Imodium but unfortunately it went the other way with me and had to go to the chemist on site and was charged about £5.00 for 6 tablets!!!!!
Would also advise you to take water rehydration pouches in case you get a bout of the deli belly!!

I would recommend if you are all inclusive to go to the al a carte restaurant as this was a fantastic evening! The staff were very helpful and polite. The drinks were reasonably priced and the food presented very well.

We took time to go snorkelling out on a boat which first choice charged £32.00 for, this was the best day ever!! We were taken to three different reefs along Sharm el Sheikh and were given time to explore for at least an hour at each site (three hours at the last site). We were also provided with food after the second site which was brilliant. The staff from Aquarius Diving Centre were very helpful and very safety conscious.

Snorkelling equipment was provided ...including lifejackets for children and those who cant swim very well.

They even video the day for you and a DVD can be brought from Aquarius Diving centre for a price of £29.95 English pounds. (would recommend buying it)

We also went for a camel ride along the beach (which the man tried to charge £10 *English each!! Haggle with guy and he will knock it down for you!!!!!

Overall a fantastic resort, I would definitely recommend it for couples and families.

" Arrived in the dark in more ways than... "

Arrived in the dark in more ways than one.
A lot of stories about not been finished.
The Hotel and Staff are excellent, access to the beach and pools best I’ve seen. The food was of a very high standard at all mealtimes,(It still amazes me that with all the choice available some people groan and eat nothing but chips and ketchup) What’s wrong with roast lamb, roast beef, roast turkey, roast duckling even pasta and pizza (freshly made to your requests).

Service was excellent the rooms were of a high standard one comment would be the lack of furniture in very large rooms but that is just nitpicking really. We stayed in room 1134 probably the best view of the Sea and beach and pool in the hotel. Room was always cleaned to a high standard not bad for an all male staffed hotel. Shops in the hotel were well stocked with souvenirs etc. Watch out for the newspaper vendor who sells on the beach and pool are £3.50 for a daily mail 3 days old is a bit OTT.

Beach shoes are a must for walking in the sea and underwater camera is also recommended as the sea is crystal clear if anyone wants any more info don’t hesitate to ask.
I’ve already booked again for May and Sept 2006 and that’s a first for us going back to the same hotel ( IT MUST BE GOOD).
" Coral sea resort is an amazing hotel.... "

Coral sea resort is an amazing hotel. It is packed with brilliant activities, shops, bars, gorgeous pools and tasty food!

The inside of the hotel, Reception, Looked stunning! It's very big and has a river running through it. The beach to the hotel is very nice and snorkelling is great!!!! I am only 14 and it was the best holiday I’ve ever been on. I am a bit annoyed by the comments on this site running the hotel down, as for the person who said there wasn’t any toilets near the pool... there are toilets next to the bigger pool behind the tea bar! there just aren’t any signs or notices so even i didn’t realise myself. there are also toilets inside the downstairs reception by the dining hall, and some in the upstairs reception! so there are plenty of toilets nearby. MUCH less than 250m like you said.

The air conditioning in the rooms and inside the hotel is lovely, i never once felt too hot! even though it was 50 degrees!! The entertainment isn’t the best but for younger children, there is a amphitheatre lit up open in the evenings which have fun shows with the first choice entertainers. for me, a teenager, it was also fun! i spent my evening time in an Irish bar upstairs which serve alcohol and have darts and pool. In the day, I relaxed by the two big pools and went snorkelling alot! The pool bars are great, they have nice drinks and ice creams, and have cool little seats inside the pool so you don’t even have to get out to get a drink!!
The hotel staff are soooo friendly! they become your best friends straight away. they do anything for you! I knew every single one there and they made me feel very welcome :) my favourite were the pool men, they were dressed in green costumes and made me laugh loads! they kept pushing me in! haha! ... the food is lovely, there are so many choices! each day of the week they will do different specials and other things such as chips and the drinks are the same! I recommend this hotel to anyone, it is truly amazing! xx ps. the person who said they don’t tell you about the mini bars being free and expensive, it clearly states they are not free! you get a list of the prices from the reception as soon as you get there. Xx
" This is a really good hotel, it's a... "

This is a really good hotel, it's a shame that it appears that certain things were rushed to enable the hotel opening for July, but that being said everything works.

The hotel staff are really good, everyone including the gardeners bid you a good morning or good afternoon and are always on hand to help, the quality of service is first class.

The 2 negative sides to our holiday is the extreme nature of the 'bad stomach' (seems to affect most adults for 3-5 days) which is hard to deal with in the extreme heat, the lack of poolside toilets, a 250m walk back to our room was the closest toilet.

I can't speak highly enough of the hotel staff and management but I believe they are being let down by poor representation and poor entertainment staff from First Choice.
