Went as a family of five myself and hubby our two daughters aged 15 and 14 and our 10 year old son. It provided each and everyone of us with everything we could ever have asked for!
What else can we add to what has already been written, weather was brilliant, hotel absolutely fantastic, beach excellent and food super.
The waiters in the dinearound were excellent always busy but ready to make your holiday that extra bit special they were entertainment in their own right. All the staff were fantastic and could never do enough to help.
Planned to do loads but the hotel complex was so perfect we rarely left. We did visit the pyramids which was a long but very worthwhile day. We would also recommend snorkelling trips to either Ras Mohammed or Tiran Island saw a sting ray - our son is still raving about his close encounter.
The animals the cleaners made out of towels were a real treat on return to your room, the whole hotel was kept to a very high standard.
The entertainment crew put a lot of effort into providing activities to suit ALL age groups not an easy task.
We are sure friends are going to start avoiding us as we are unable to talk about anything other than our holiday.We always said we would never go to the same place twice, we are already hoping to return to Coral Sea again next year.

We just got from this hotel on Monday 20th April 09(4 adults). This was a superb holiday, the Hotel was FANTASTIC, staff extreamly friendly and welcoming. Food out of this world could not fault. Cleanliness was outstanding! Animation team were GREAT always lots to do. This hotel was so brilliant we all had tears in our eyes upon leaving for home, along wiv many other guests. We only stayed for a wk but you became part of there family at the hotel. This was the best holiday experience we have had and are looking to go back in the august holidays. HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED!!!!!! A********* Hotel.

I have just returned from this hotel yesterday (16th April 2009) having spent 2 weeks with my family (6 persons) and can honestly say that the whole holiday was FANTASTIC. I only ventured out of the complex a couple of times, twice to visit the local shops and once for my 16 year old son to do a PADI scuba dive course over 2 days (he qualified of course) which I booked through the First Choice rep on site. We found the hotel complex to be brilliant, the staff were all very helpfull and great fun to have a laugh with. The food was excellent with a great choice for each meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner) the gardens were kept imaculate and the beach was clean and quiet as most kids (well it was over easter) stayed by the two pools in the centre of the complex. The only thing that did get on my nerves was the Russian guests who were rude to other guests as well as the hotel staff and they all seemed to be very large and very very greedy!!! they would over fill their plates in the dining room and go back for more but most times left half of it untouched which also annoyed the waiters. We went on one trip booked with the First Choice rep, which was the "Stars and Dinner" evening which we thoroughly enjoyed. I woild reccomend this Hotel to anyone and I am considering booking for next year.

just back from this hotel complex and had a great week went for a birthday treat and really enjoyed myself, weather was hot, room was lovely, and the staff were so freindly
never ventured out of the complex just did the relexing things sunbathed and swam.The only problem was the spa staff everyday walking round mathering you to vist the spa for treatments at extra costs .... AND the dive staff asking you to go on trips ....
i would recommand going back there as we will later in the year lovley place to vist and it was out first time the airport needs a bit of a helping hand in organisation to make the start of your vist less hassle free ..

just got back after a wonderful week at coral sea resort, i went with a female friend and my 4 year old daughter, what a lovely place for a holiday very sunny but a nice breeze to cool you down, my daughter had a fab time swimming all day with new friends and the evening entertainment was good cheesy but arnt they all? as long as my daughter was happy i was too. All the staff very friendly and brilliant with the children. you do not need to take any towels with you as bath towels and beach towels are supplied clean every day ( just remember to leave your room towels on floor and they will be changed)
The rooms are lovely and big and clean sheets and towels every day, balcony massive and air con works a treat!
get reception to empty out your mini bar (as very exp) then you can fill with water etc (free at lunch and dinner) and local shops sell everything you could possible fancy.
the food in restaurant very good loads choice even for fussy eaters.
the main reasons for stomach upsets are too much alcohol and not enough water or touching their money then not washing your hands. a good tip to take some handwash and carry it around with you.
we did the egyptian night which is on a tues and the only meal we paid for its £12.00 and good value as you get to ride on a camel and belly dance.
wont bore you with airport stuff as all airports abroad are the same and sometimes you get unlucky and have to hang around.
a tip, change up your money when your there as you get about 8 egyptian pounds to the pound rather than 7 here. if your gonna book any trips do it independently rather than first choice who are expensive and also cheaper to book flights to cairo and luxor before you leave uk.
the best times to travel are nov to april other months are VERY hot.
All in all a brillant holiday especially if you have kids, its not overrun with children a nice mix of all ages.

just arrived back from this holiday and booking for september! I'l just do a review on the hotel as did'nt venture out much due to sun worshiping and relaxing !
It was our 2nd visit to coral sea resort although I said I would never visit the same place twice, it fitted our needs, decent hotel, beach on the doorstep and sun !
Food is good, something for everyone (except those who moan about everything) dining room can be busy and noisy but no big deal.Get bottled water at breakfast and dinner keep bottle and fill up from water machines around the hotel. Through the day the mermaid bar near the beach is good, change from main dining room.
Staff are ace and have a good sense of humour,and are obliging, did'nt mind tipping they deserved it.
Rooms are clean, any problems are quickly dealt with. Cleaned daily with and clean towels daily. Dont be tempted from the room mini bar its expensive.
Entertainment is not the royal variety show ! but they do work hard and are so sweet, but if you get together on a night with others you can have a good laugh !!
Pool areas are clean and with 2 large pool areas you can find a quiet spot if that what you want,and they have bean bags this year which I loved! yeah sad I know !, or the beach is a step away is which lovely.
Remember holiday is what you make it ! We've been to a few AI and this is one of the best for the money.
For those who moan about every mortal thing why not book into Hilton International for £2,000 a week and you might just find what your looking for !! or maybe not ! just stay at home

What a sham the place is,its chav city meets fat camp,the whole place needs a makeover,animation team are useless and just pester you alday,they looklike they need a good wash and a meal,they are so unprofessional,didnt see the first choice reps once but then i dont blame them not being there,if i knew where they were i wouldv gone with them.couldv done with a dose of food poisoning so i didnt have to put up with the animation team and their stupid songs allday,as for the irish bar i just dont want to be reminded of that place,go in at your own risk!!!

Just returned from Coral Sea in Sharm - and normally only read reviews then thought to read them you have to write them.
Flight from Glasgow was fine - meal nice and service OK the usual charter flight space but passed relatively quick.
Arrived - quickly through the visa process even though it was a bit of a queue and then on to the bus - all in all 25 minutes which is pretty good - Drive to the hotel was about 20 minutes with an informtaive guide. Arrival at hte hotel again quick checked in and in our room with our luggage closely followed in 5- 10 minutes. Room great size with huge balcony with table and chairs - could have had a party on it and wanted all week to drag sun beds up but no can do :)
Food - was great for an all inclusive - we nevber ate outside hte hotel once which is unusual. A la carte i would say was OK nothing special and expensive to buy drink so really not a great option but was ok
Beds changed every two days and thorougly and i mean thoroughly cleaned daily.
Bar staff - Mohammed was fab always very attentive and brought drinks straight away and shouted at us and waved.
Restaurant waiters good as well but seemed to be busy towards the end of the week but all in all very good service.
Pool -great area - heated pool was fine didnt venture into the other one as heated one was cold enough ha ha. always sun beds
On the ebach - always sun beds and the wind which took the heat away from teh sun and contributed nicely to a bright red neck .
Went on a snorkle trip through Aquarious - absolutely fine - and much cheaper than the hotel and paid in english pounds.
Spa - used that frequently great massages and reflexology - pedicure and manicure - mmmmm well friendly staff but they are paid to sell and they do that - can be a bit annoying espefially after day 6 they are still saying have you just arrived - guess that comes from being a white scot from the far north with freckles - boohoo no tan for me.
First Choice welcome meeting - ok if you want to use the trips - expensive and nothing too exciting - didnt see the reps after that as had no need - so good thing.
Return flight - oh god it took forever but that is always the same going home
However all in all totally relaxing holiday - for a first time apart from the snorkelling didnt go into any shops so cant help on the retail therapy or eat out locally .
No upset tummy until got home but i think that was the withdrawals from the food and the all inclusive wine.
Hope this is helpful and i would go back for a sun holiday - my only disappointment was i wanted to snorkle off the reef and ther was nothing to see so next time i think we may have to go to sharks bay as that is where that is all for i believe.

We went to the Coral Sea Resort and were overwhelmed by the culture, the staff and the friendliness of the Egyptians. We were greeted by a manager handing out orange juice which was lovely. The bags were taken off the bus and ushered to the rooms by the bellboys. The staff were brilliant, they couldn't have done more for us, the food was nice and we had no problem eating what so ever. The rooms were lovely and clean and the air conditioning was brilliant, the room was huge as the bed (never slept in a more comfortable bed). The only issue was the walk from the room to the dining area/bar area but that was to be expected due to the size of the hotel.
The only area that could be improved would be the effort put in by the First Choice reps. We never went on any trips this time but went into Naama Bay and got leaflets with the same excursions at a huge discount, when we return I won't be going with the First Cgoice reps.

I would def go back to Coral Sea Resort Sharm El Sheikh and hope to be there by the end of this year. I would recommend to bring Sterling as the shops will take it and give you a really good rate for it and we tips in Sterling too.

i spent a great time in Coral Sea oriental Resort with their friendly staff and good quality of food , i spent 2 weeks and wished to dive the red sea , attended the welcome meeting with the Reps and give us useful infors about the place , once they start to trips , warned us no to book any thing the the guys on the beach ,they are not insured and the standard of services not good , and we had to book our dive with the Reps ,because we believed First Choice Reps .

the last week of February and the first week of march i booked my holiday with First choice to Coral sea Hotel and i attend the welcome meeting with them , it was OK but so long and during the meeting the Reps start to worn us about booking any thing from outside companies and they mentioned Aquarius Dive Club especially as they are not insured and they are not compiled to European Health And Safety Standard and which make me panic they mentioned the Instructor work for them just Open Water and Advanced Dive , and i believed them and booked my diving with them , the day i start my Diving with Ocean Collage they was late about 20 minutes and when i asked them they said to me that they have to pick up some client of the road , was ok and i have to pass by like 4 more hotels on the way to the dive center which is located in Naama Bay about 1:45 minutes on transfer., we divens in a sandy bay in Naama Bay , to do my check dive it took about 6 hour of my day away from my family which looks so bad day to me , i waited about 1:30 for a bus to go back to the hotel .
i decide to have a chat with the guys on the beach to see how they are and i found that they are insured with DAN and they are ISO standard dive club A PADI 5 STAR DIVE CENTER 12 dive center over the Red SEA , compiled with British Health And Safety . even the Egyptian manager there told me they , First Choice used to work with them for 5 years Diving And Snorkeling , which come to my eyes like a chock , why the Reps, does this ,FOR THEIR COMMISSION OUT OF US THEY OWN THE OCEAN COLLAGE AND GET EVERY MONEY POSSIBLE OF US , EVEN WHAT MAKE IT BAD THEY LIMIT OUR CHOICE WHICH SEEMS TO MY LIKE A DIRTY WAR AGAINST THESE GUYS ON RESORT ,don't believe the Reps if you plan to go on holiday to CORAL SEA HOTEL they want more money out of us , contact the AQUARIUS on the beach even you can book your diving online www.aquariusredsea.com .
i booked my diving straight with them and all their guys was professional on every thing , looking for all little details about their job , they are recommended .

It wasa our first time in Egypt and Sharm el Sheikh. We are both in our seventies, and have to say we have never been so spoilt in all our lives, the staff just couldn't do enough for us, our wish was their command.
They would have carried us to bed had we asked. God willing we shall return next January.

Unless this hotel has nosedived in resenct months I can only assume those giving it ratings above 5 don't travel that often and those giving it 8/9/10 think the food at their local chip shop is 3 stars if this hotel is a 4 star!!
Most of the staff are apathetic, some rude, with very few exceptions such as Mohammed in the bar, Honey in the spa, who are excellent, most of the waiters have the memory span of a goldfish, you can order 4 drinks with ice and get 3 drinks without ice and one of them will be wrong.. the beach bar runs out of ice around 3pm each day and doesn't get any more.. the guy just shrugs and serves cool (not cold) drinks from a cooler box.. it's like a hotel run by someone for a hobby!!
Food in the day isn't even up to truck stop standard, the mermaid "restaurant" aka cafe.. is poor, service is a joke and the food is basically rubbish, I orded a feta salad.. it had 3 small pieces of feta and looked like it had been left in the sun for a day.. pizzas are bland, chips are crap, some days we've asked 3 different waiters for drinks it's taken that long to get them, the only plus point is that food comes quick as it's batch prepared before hand by the looks of it..
Food at night is just as bad.. you are in luck only if you like meat, meat and nothing much edible but meat.. luckiy I do.. but even then it's not cooked to the same standards as other hotels I've stayed at in Sharm, it's verging on a joke at night.. we wander up and down the food trays looking to make a meal from various dishes.. and fail each night.
this hotel is not so much all inclusive as ... all you can get.. and from that.. all you can stomach..
the local spirits included in the all inclusive taste disgusting.. I've resorted to buying shots of proper spirits when I want one as nothing they serve is palatable unless you drink for effect instead of flavour
tonight I'm not even going to bother going to the dining room as the last two nights I've eaten bread and spaghetti bolognaise.. I'm off to the italian upstairs and will go down the road the other nights if that's bad... I've paid for the food already.. yet it's that poor I'm going to go and pay to eat elsewhere!!!.. that's how poor it is and it's not just me.. I'm here with my brother, and 3 kids and our mother.. and from 8 to 67 we all think the service is poor and food is rubbish.
If you've been anywhere else in sharm and loved it.. go back.. or have VERY low expectations if you book in the coral sea oriental resort!!
