my how low can the sink

This hotel is the worst i have ever been in and I've been in some.
Everywhere is discusting, the rooms, the beds, the bathrooms, the restruants, the Kitchens (and yes I did visit them) the pool(s)
It appears to have gone down hill since i moved on and that is saying a lot. How they ever get ANY bookings is a miricale. People will never learn, all you need to do is check the peoples views, count the good and then the BAD and that should proove something to you , if not you are dumb.....putting it mildly.

Terrible hotel, do not come here

This hotel is not a five star, not even close. The food is awful (think school dinners), all the restaurants serve pretty much the same thing and it doesn't really change from day to day. The staff are constantly trying to scam you and have no manners. The entire hotel including the pool area needs an upgrade. When I first arrived I had been put in the wrong room type and ended up having to ask for the manager at reception to sort it out as the other staff refused to move me. Then the aircon wasn't working and I had to ask three times before it was fixed (I was told repeatedly there was nothing wrong with it and I must have had the door to the balcony open!) You are constantly pestered on the beach by staff asking if you want a massage, camel ride, snorkelling etc etc which gets very tiresome. The hotel itself is very noisy, there's always loud music playing (anything from local music to Britney). I would never come here again and would advise anyone who has booked to change their hotel.

we stayed in this hotel january this year 2010 . it was supposed to be a 5 star . it was more like a 2 / 3 star.
there was 4 a la carte resteraunts . none was open !
the breakfast was inedible .
the food was so repetative , you got sick of eating it .
people was going out to eat !!!!
the pharmacy in the hotel was a right rip off !! and he has 4 pharacies in sham el sheikh .
he charged me £5 more for antibiotics than what it was in naam bay and the same for sprays and anti-istamines .
i went to the manager to complain .... he was`nt interested . said they can charge what they want !!!!
so if you need anything for your hols . buy it from home or get it in naam bay or other resorts !!!
the cleaners were brilliant . we left them a good tip . bar staff were good , more so if you tipped .
if you go . have a good holiday but just beware of the rip off chemist and shops in the hotel. we wont be going to that hotel again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely Terrible

This was not a luxury hotel and it is certainly not five star, it is lucky if it is a three star.... My advice is stay away... We were sold a 'kipper' and will be seeking compensation for miss-representation.
This was our third trip to Sharm and this was by far the worse holiday we have had to date... In the two weeks we were there the three adults in our party went down with dickie tummies twice each. The food is a health hazard, and there was no kids menu which resulted in my two eating just chips... or bread an honey.
The times we complained about numerous issues were disregarded by the management team, the waiting staff and housekeepers are superb, but not supported by their managers and they fear for thier jobs if complaints are made. It took us 8 days to get a air conditioner fixed...
The food was geared to what appeard to be the Russian holiday makers and was a disaster, chicken was undercooked and we watched raw meat being added to cooked meat on the grill without any segregation, it was no wonder people were getting sick. The tables were never wiped down between sitters and there was always insufficient cutlery, plates and glasses.
Most of the TV channels appart for BBC and CNN News were in Russian, there were no kids channels, it was lucky we brought our own DV player and films...
The kids club is non-existant, the resort in not child friendly with low walls with significant drops onto concrete stairs or walkways.
The wave pool and kids pool slide are a hazard with no lifeguards on duty or supervision to stop kids all riding the slide at once or jumping of the rocks... There were cracked and missing tiles in and around the pool and around the swim up bar. We did not see much eveidence of pool cleaning... The green matting around the pool area was worn and dirty with little evidence of any significant cleaning. If you wanted a sun bed, then you had to be placing towels between 5-6 in the morning...
The rooms are very, very basic and poorly finished in the bathrooms, the bedding is old and no longer white...
I could go on and on, but this is only winding me up more... We shall certainly not be going back to the Pyram'isery'

Absolute Crap - DO NOT GO HERE

This place is an absolute joke. DO NOT GO HERE if you want an actual 5 star hotel. This is, at best, a 3 star hotel but it fakes a 5 star rating and charges 5 star prices. The food is horrid, the "all inclusive" buffets are all identical and the wine and beer is absolutely sick, might as well drink rubbing alcohol. This place lies about 5 star rating because Egyptian owners can pay the ministry of tourism a fee to get it, are in the ministry themselves, or they are a government official, and get a five star rating. Do not trust Egyptian owned businesses because, unfortunately, the entire Egyptian systems of anything are corrupt and do not value being honest over taking money. My husband is Egyptian, I am American and I lived there for a year so I know what I am talking about. This place ruined our stay in Sharm. We've stayed at different Hilton hotels in Sharm twice and they are fantastic. If Pyramisa is 5 stars, then the Hilton hotels are 20 stars. Do not go to Pyramisa unless you want to waste your money and stay in a gross room and eat disgusting, unhealthy food. You can get the same prices at Hilton hotels that they charge at this dump. Another good hotel we know is El Fanara near the Hilton Waterfalls. We are going their on our next trip. Rossetta is another good one. Overall its hard to know who to trust in Egypt, that's why I'm giving advise from an American perspective.

what a disappointment to last years hols in sharm

me and the family went to sharm el sheikh pyramisa resort for xmas and new years. It was a nightmare from the start we paid for a 2 bedroom duplex and were put into a huge run down villa with live wires hanging out of the ceiling a rusty shower a room filled with old furniture bad paint jobs with most of the paint on the windows. old furniture not organised in the bedrooms a leaking toilet. i could go on. Then we were hit with a very bad bug with my children visiting the bathroom up to 10 times a day. I found chest hairs countless times in my food. It was the same food served morning afternoon and evening i all restaurants. Over all it was a very unhygienic hotel. I visited sharm el sheikh the previous year for new years and it was magnificent it was called domina in coral bay. it was fantastic but this was a shock to our holidaylast year the slide was out of use we were moved from our room 3 times which in the end we settled for a connecting room in the main building. The childrens air con was letting off very bad toxic smells. I caught the catering manager eating with his hands from the buffet. I own an italian restaurant and that is disgusting. The outdoor pool is impossible to use as its below freezing u can't even put your foot init without feeling some sort of frost bite. I have nothing good to say bout this hotel i'm very open minded and realise that its not america or british standard but last year was fantastic from the food, the entertainment, the shopping arcade, many different restaurants to choose from mini buses to hop onto to get to a different part of your resort it was huge. The staff were great and it was clean i definitely give domina coral bay 10/10 but PLEASE DON'T GO TO PYRAMISA NOT WORTH THE MONEY GO TO DOMINA WISH I WENT BACK!!!!!

If you are going to read one review...

If you are going to read one review this is the one to read, this hotel is disgusting, we have been to egypt 3 times before and always loved it, we loved the food and the people, we read all the bad reviews and thought it cant be that bad, when we arrived at our room there were live wires hanging out of the walls, holes in the ceiling, draw fronts hanging off and it was very dirty.
Lots of people around the pool were telling us how ill they had been and we soon found this out, the food is the same food every day, lunch and evening meal and its all cold and under cooked.
TWO PEOPLE DIED AT THIS HOTEL TWO WEEKS BEFORE WE GOT THERE, THE SLIDE WAS SHUT,BUT THE STAFF WOULD NOT SAY WHY, OUR TOUR REP TOLD US THAT A MAN HAD DIED ON THE SLIDE AND A LITTLE GIRL HAD DIED IN THE POOL,THIS WAS WHY THE SLIDE WAS SHUT BECAUSE THE HOTEL DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO.
LOTS OF GUESTS ALSO TOLD US ABOUT THE TWO DEATHS TOO.
The pool is a death trap, it looks beautiful but as soon as you get in you can see its never cleaned, in the hole two weeks we were there it never got cleaned. There are lots of tiles missing and cracked tiles, and at the top of the pool by the wave machine there are large chunks of pool missing and all the broken bits are in the pool.
I have never put a review on a web site before, but I cant let people go to this hotel thinking its safe and that its a 5 star hotel, its lucky if it reaches a 2 star.
My husband lost half a stone at this hotel and my eight year old son also lost half a stone, we know it was the hotel food because we have been to egypt 3 times before, you get a dicky tummy for 2-3 days then thats it, but at this hotel you have 14 days of sickness and diarrohea.
Be careful I you are looking at thegood reviews and thinking it cant be that bad,BUT THE HOTEL IS OFFERING FREE ROOM UPGRADES AT THE HOTEL IF YOU PUT A GOOD REVIEW ON AT THE HOTEL, SO PEOPLE DO THIS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE HOLIDAY WHEN THEY DONT KNOW HOW BAD ITS GOING TO GET.THIS IS WHY THERE IS SO MANY GOOD REVIEWS.
AVOID THIS HOTEL LIKE THE PLAGUE OR YOU WILL OR YOU WILL CATCH IT AT THIS HOTEL, THIS HOTEL SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AND DISINFECTED.

We went to Pyramisa as my sister had...

We went to Pyramisa as my sister had been twice before and she loved it however it became apparent that it was under new management and lots of the things she had told me about the hotel had obviously changed.
Our main complaint which we made at the time and when we got back to Olympic Holidays was about the food and the hygiene. Out of so called 7 restaurants, 3 you had to pay, one was a pizzeria, one was closed and the other two served exactly the same food.
We saw staff picking up food with their fingers and we complained immediately, watching them clean the tables was an eye opener and very worrying. No wonder so many people were ill.
I went to Cape Verde earlier in the year and the food and cleanliness was outstanding and that is a relatively new resort and everything is imported from Africa.
Whilst our room had a lovely view it was 70 plus steps to the restaurants and if we went down to the lower pool it was 140 plus steps back to the restaurant!
I think its a shame as its in a lovely spot but I shall certainly never go back again or that part of Eygpt again it is over rated. I am not a holiday snob, far from it but when it comes to hygiene it has got to be without question. People DIE from gastro problems and they can bother you for months so be aware!!!
By the way our compliant to Olympic was fobbed off but we know other peopole complained. These companies really don't care once they have had your money you are history.

My new husband and I have just...

My new husband and I have just returned from our honeymoon at this resort, we both have mixed views on the hotel. For 1 it definitely wasn't 5 star as our room was very dated and in need of modernisation.
There was no night time entertainment for adults so everyone was heading back to their rooms after dinner as they didn't know what to do afterwards, you couldn't walk outside of the hotel complex as there was nothing there.
The staff on the other hand where extremely attentive and very friendly especially the beach boys who laid our towels out for us each morning.
The food was very samey especially if you stay for 2 weeks, we splashed out and ate in a chinese restaurant on the complex which proved to be delicious food and reasonably priced.
The supermarket on the complex was ridiculously priced for snacks and drinks ie: pringles £3.50 and chocolate £1.50. The pharmacy is very expensive especially as the majority of guests suffered with upset stomachs, our rep assured us that this problem was going to be rectified so stay tuned!!!
Overall the complex was ok but we wouldn't return hence why we rated it 6/10.
