The room was ok and cleaned daily. The food was the worst i have ever seen. The hotel was russian biased. The food was only catered towards them.powdered milk for cerial.Eggs and toast was only thing we had for two weeks.Lunch and Dinners are the same daily.Soup bread and puddings was all we ate as the rest was cold and inedable. The manager did make three english guests a mixed grill one night and that we paid for so much for all inclusive,Best meal in the hotel.Drinks one per person and you have to take your empty glass back for them to refill it . The all inclusive stops at 10pm then you have to pay.Pool bar the plastic re-useable cups where dirty. The staff where friendly and some fun but that was as good as it got.Food and drinks outside the hotel where reasonable but be prepared to haggle for everything and never buy until you have shopped around. Beware taxis will charge the earth for a 2 minute trip.(Only masks where missing of these drivers) Only about ten beds in the sun all day, gettig up early to reserve a sunbed was no holiday more a chore.

well were do i start. la perla must be the worst hotel i've ever been too. me and my partner had just got married and went there for our honeymoon it was listed as a 4 star but when we got there we found out it was a 3 star. more like a 2 star. the rooms were clean but it was just like being at a butlins budget shella. there was no mini bar. the food was catered for russians and polish and italians not for english when we asked for english food we were told we had to pay for it £10 each. there are only two bars one by the pool and the other in the lobby. the one at the pool shut at 6.00pm every evening you had too pay for food there as well. all of it. the spirits were horrid. the beer was flat and warm and not very nice. if you wanted a can you had to pay for it. this was the same in the lobby. and it was only inclusive till 10pm after that you had to pay for it. any entertainment was always after 10pm. we were there for two weeks and there was only two shows on. they played the same music every day by the pool over and over again and if that wasnt enough they played it every night it was that bad it kept jumpin. they never used the bedwin tent. there was no play area for kids there was nothing ther e for kids. the pool was dirty my partner ended up with an ear infection so did a lot of others this was because of the pool and the pool was so dangerous the tiles were broken and there was people cutting them self,s on them. there was no animation programme. there are no cafes only the pool bar. the lobby bar is not 24 hour. i had to wait till 10am for a cup of tea. there was a couple there that had money stolen out of there room which was hidden in a book. so they must of gone through all there things to find it. there was no safety deposit box given. they did not help that couple at all. even the police said la perla was very bad. we had to keep all our things in our suit cases locked up all the time. on the day the other couple were going they left there things in the lobby at the desk so they could have there lunch. the staff went through there things and opened up some pictures they had and spilt water on them. the couple caught them doing it. it was a small amout of damage to the picture. the man payed for it and when they were going the man asked them for the picture or he was going to call the police. so they gave him the picture just so they could get out of there as they hated it there so much. it was terrible the way thay were treated. as for us we had to eat out all the time breakfast dinner and lunch. we were lucky there was a lot of places to eat out side of la perla just up the road. and it was cheap to eat out. but when you pay all inclusive you should not have to eat out and every think should be free. la perla is not for english at all. we were made to feel as we should of not been there by the russians and the polish they were not very nice at all. they would throw all the towels on the floor and would sit in front of us and put us down and be laughing about it. this made us very uncomfortable did not like being there at all. The managment was not helpful at all. the only good thing about the holiday was the excursions. we went snorkling that was brillant and camel ride and the stars , and quad biking that was fun. we payed to go to ciro to see the pyramids on the bus it was a long way and we could not sleep on the bus. the only thing with it was we payed for it and when we got there we were told we had to pay more money to go in the pyramid. so we were not happy with that. and we were told we would get water and we didnt we had to pay for that too.Apart from that it was good to see the pyramids and go in the museum to see all the artifacts. the only other thing that made our holiday was meeting new friends brits. most egyptians were very friendy. we would go back there but not to la perla. and we would go 5 star. we were on the xl flights. on the friday we were due back on the 12th we were waiting in the lobby for our transfer and it did not turn up so we asked to ring our rep at the desk and our rep did not answer. so we waited and another brit came up to us and told us about the flights because we did not know. the man behind the desk did know about it but did not tell us. they all knew the night before but did not tell us i was so upset. and when my partner asked to ring the rep to find out what was going on the receptionist on the desk was so aragent and rude to us i was gobbed smacked he knew i was upset. we were told to stay there till our transfer got there. we were there a couple of hours but we were not aloud any drinks unless we payed for them. when we got picked up we were taken to the airport and we were just dumped onto the thomson reps the thomson reps had a go at them but they just walked off. we were there for 6 hours not knowing if we were going home. the thomson reps were brilliant they helped us and put us in a 5 star hotel for two nights the best hotel i've ever been in it was lush. it was called the mirabel beach resort all inclusive,it had everything you could think of and more and it when out onto the beach. had lots of shops had about 9 pools and a water park.kids clubs about 9 places to eat. 12 bars 3 of them on the beach. the food was excellent the best i,d had. the room was lovely. and it had a safe. and a mini bar. if we were to go back to sharm el sheikh i would go back to the mirabel beach resort. napq bay. we have been told the best hotels are in napq bay. i wish i was told that before we went. we would like to thank all the thomson reps for all there help and support and 19 hours in a airport not knowing if your going home but they were brillant and got us home. we are so glad to be home.

My partner & I have just returned from our holiday this morning. Hotel described as 4* but 2 or at most 3*. All inc. is from 10am - 10pm. Definately not all inc. but more like full board. The majority of visitors at the hotel are Russians and Polish and the food at meal times is geared towards their requirements. We spoke with the manager Adel, and for a small amount of English food to be incorporated into meal times. Adel was prepared to cook anything we liked but would be charged for it. Defeats the object of going all inc. and we ate out. Only fruit on the buffet each day was melon and that was warm. Snacks are available but must be paid for. There is no food that would appeal to children. Not allowed to have another drink unless you brought back your last glass empty. You had sprite, cola, luxor (local beer), nasty spirits and water from dispenser available as part of package. If you wanted a can of sprite or cola then you had to pay for it. There were 2 pools but they are never cleaned and the tiles in the pool are not grouted so don't have a smooth finish and a couple of people cut their feet on them. There is a pool for children and this is grouted but it was full of bits and the grout is green with mould. There are no activities organised at all to entertain children. The hotel advertises a chinese corner and Italian theme night and disco. We saw none of this in two weeks. There were 2 pool party's which was used as an opportunity to charge the English for drinks and food. Russian and Polish guests removed your towels used to reserve sun loungers and stood in large groups talking about the English and let you know they were. Purposely intimidating and extemely rude. Lots of local restaurants to eat at which are fab and cheap. Went snorkelling twice, quad bikes into the desert and swam with dolphins. All were wonderful experiences. As well as visiting Naama Bay, you must visit the Old Market in Sharm. Its more traditional and interesting. We adored Egypt and all our trips & will most definately be going back as soon as we can but would not stay there in anything other than 5* hotel. Staff below management level were fabulous and did their best to make you happy and nothing was too much for them. Felt like the intention of hotel was to make as much money out of the English as possible. I would never return to this hotel!!!!!

this was our first time in egypt and before we went we read the reveiws which didnt seem to good.
we found the hotel was very clean but basic food was varied and edible though not much english food as we know it breakfast was toast rice roast potatoes goats cheese that sort of stuff although you can have an ommlette or pancake cooked outside.
the staff were friendly and helpful and worked very hard on your behalf.
we went all inclusive but you found every time you went to the bar the barman had been told to collect glasses or some thing else.
he was controlled by the bloke at the bar who everyone knicknamed the fat controller and if he wanted a drink the barman had to see to him first whether you were waiting but if the russians who just barged in and shouted vodka they got served also.
they would close the bar before time not the barmans fault(the fat controller).
the young lad who cleaned the rooms was a star even to the point of folding your garments if you left them out.
the hotel is situated a bit far from the resort they did run a shuttle to the beach if you could call it that.
there was nothing to do in the viscinity of the hotel but still a reasonably enjoyable stay.

After booking this hotel we read trip advisor, how i wished i had read it before. It was supposedly 3*, i would struggle to give it 1*. We were all inclusive. The bar closed at 9.50pm instead of 10pm, when we questioned this we were told 'sorry'. Who ever was at the bar 1st would order for all of us, this was questioned. If you had a soft drink due to thirst and then went back for another you were told that you had just had a drink. In the dining room you were looked at if you had more that 1 piece of toast despite the fact that there were 4 of us and we got food, drinks etc. for each other. Breakfast was passable but lunch and dinner was virtually the same every day and recycled in a different form. Three out of four of us had the tummy bug which was awful, mine lasted 6 days, i am home now but not really right. The pool area is a potential accident zone, people were falling thru the grids, the rails collapsed and were just propped up and left. The rooms were very basic and the furniture was very old. The hotel was clean and some of the staff were very nice, others weren't so good. This hotel is a long way from Naama Bay where there seems to be far nicer places and far more to do. When you check out of the hotel they check your room! We were called to the reception because we only had 2 towels in our room instead of 4. We were only given 2 towels that day but the receptionist said its ok i will tell the manager. It made me feel like they were accusing us of stealing 2 lousy towels. There is no way i could ever recommend this hotel to anyone. If you have booked this place change it and upgrade, do not go ahead with your holiday like we did.

What can you say about this hotel other than avoid it like the plague.
The all inclusive drinks package was advertised on the hotel web site as the bar being open 24/7. This is true but what they omit to mention is you have to pay between 10pm and 10am. Drinks are served in the white plastic cups you get from water dispensers or very small plastic glasses. If you want anothr drink you even have to take your glass back, which they then refill? no glass no drink. This hotel is overrun with Russian, Polish and east European guests whose national drink is vodka. Yet on one occasion the bar run out of vodka, when asked to get some more the barman declaired that only five bottles per day were allowed between the main and pool bar? But he was willing to get another bottle out provided we paid.
We chose this hotel because it was advertised as being owned by a family and being ideal for children. There are no organised events for children,no kids club and no childrens play area, unless you count the two tables and kids plastic chairs on a small grass area by the main pool. Not quite the playground as per the web site. Would you want to sit on a plastic chair in an unshaded area when the temperature is in the high 40s.?
The food in the dining room consisted of gristly beef, liver, chicken legs and wings accomponied by powdered potato and plain pasta. This was basically the staple menue for both lunch and evening meals (rarely hot). Not exactly what a child would eat. However we were told on several occasions that provided we paid we could have individual meals such as steak etc. Please please avoid this hotel......

After reading all the negative reviews me and my partner arrived expecting the worst.
However after arriving we were pleasantly surprised.
O.K the rooms were basic at best but apart from that everything else was very good.
The staff were friendly and always helpful, to the extent that when i came down with Tonsillitis they were only too keen to fetch me some medication and generally look after me.
The food was good but if you are expecting English food then go elsewhere.
one other disappointing thing was that the all inclusive bar closed too early for my liking.
Overall though i was very impressed at what we got for our money!!!

Me and my partner have just arrived back from La Perla Egypt today and I could think of nothing more important than writing my review to everyone out there thinking of staying in this accommodation. DONT DO IT! The hotel for me spoilt my whole holiday, the all inclusive package is the worst I have ever had, only free drinks available are soft drinks, local wine, local beer, vodka and ouzo, that is all the bar has to offer. The all inclusive package starts at 10:30 and finishes at 10. The food was poor, rice and chicken legs everyday. Pay no attention to the disco and italian restaurant because they do not exist. The hotel caters for russians so Brits stay away, especially if you are young and like to party.

when i booked i did not read any reviews, but the hotel was generally ok. The rooms and hotel were very clean and could not fault the staff at all they were very helpful and friendly at all times the bad points to this hotel were the all inclusive was only 10am to 10pm, there was no 24hr bar and there was no real choice of food all meals consisted of rice, chicken and potatoes, and the spa and gym were only free during the hours of 11am and 2.30pm. i would not say this hotel is suitable for families with younger children as they dont have any facilities such as kids clubs. in general the hotel was on average and i would really only go back if the food and all inc improved.

We went here and after reading all the bad reports expected the worst, No its not the best hotel but it doesnt deserve all the bad rite ups at the end of the day you get what you pay for and for £239 each for all inclusive for a week. Now then that puts a diffrent lite on it.
The truth is im not posh nor am i trying to be if you wont somthing more PAY MORE
From a working class man and proud of it
