Comments:  Do not be put off by others comments. I stayed here for 1week and found that the hotel staff were friendly, lots of food at meal times (egyptian style-fried fish, salad, cheese, bread) plenty of deserts and spaghetti almost every lunch and tea time.

Gorgeous beach (Down a cliff, lots of steps involved, but safe wooden ones)which you can be driven to free of charge by hotel bus-would recommend for watching fish, walking down pier. Beach is very small though so not reccomended for tanning sessions or playing games like beach cricket etc. Not all inclusive on beach.
Towels are provided from the hotel for beach&pools. Cups around the pools are coca cola cardboard cups but it's not a problem.

I would reccomend the beach at Namma bay for children due to access and space.

Hotel rooms aren't very big, but have enough space in them for the week. On first appearences our bathroom looked unclean, but it was only because it is slightly dated and the grout in the tiles had gone a bit borwn.

Points to consider... All of the rooms have very low pressure showers, so you don't often get a hot shower as the water will only trickle out. (bath's are not usable due to health & safety)
Last day you only get all inclusive drinks & food up until 12midday. This was dissapointing.

Location is good - 5minutes into Namma bay walking, taxi not needed.

Around 15minutes from the airport, you can pay about £10 english pounds for a taxi each way.

Wine is not included in All Inclusive, however there is one local lager on tap, coke, sprite, fanta, rum, brandy, vodka, gin (all local spirits) and tea and coffee.

Facilities are good, squash court (payable locally), sauna, gym, voleyball, darts, ping pong, tennis, football. Massages are also payable locally.

Fridge in room and T.v has two english channels, one for films and one for light comedy.

Comments:  This hotel is just not suitable for British people. The advert from Fast Track Holidays states the hotel has its own private beach but what it doesn't say is that the beach is a 10 mintue walk away at the other end of Naama Bay. All inclusive doesn't include red/white wine or fresh orange juice and the beach isn't all inlcusive, you have to pay for food and drinks.

The rooms are reasonable the pool area is reasonable but the dinning room has the appearance of an underground car park. The food is totally uninviting and one night, had beef burgers as it's main course!!! The bar area has no atmoshere and has the appearance of a leisure centre. All in all not a good experience and certainly not a hotel to be recommended.

Comments:  Avoid this place like the plague! After a wonderful week on Thomson Celebration this chaotic, filthy place was a disaster! The food was inedible, being poor quality, cheap mass catering of the lowest standard. The 'dining room' that resembled a deck of a multi-storey car park. After that we were both struck down with Pharohs Revenge, and reception doled out diahorrea tablets like smarties to anyone who could stand at the counter long enough to seek help!

Our room had poor lighting, filthy brown tap water, drain smells and a fridge that ran all the time even after I unplugged it and defrosted it myself. The sheets were slimy and grey and the towels hard and worn out.

The staff were either bewildered or over friendly or downright hostile. What was supposed to be a Christmas treat was a disaster. After 3 meals, we ate out all the time, when not confined to our 'cell' by the runs! Spaghetti as a 'treat' on Christmas Eve? No way, thank god we dined elsewhere.

All inclusive? - No way. The advertised room rate (back of our door) was 50 Egyptian pounds per night, with 50% OFF for Egyptians! That's a fiver a night! Not four star standard in any country - more like a Beirut prison. Avoid at all costs or regret!

Thomson MUST NEVER allow this hovel to be linked with their cruise ship, and now Fast Track are part of Virgin. Richard - I hope you can demolish this place!

Comments:  Extremely disappointing! Dirty place, unfriendly staff, definitely not a 4 star as advertised, not even a 2 star in my opinion. I am still recovering from the shock of landing here, especially after a Thomson cruise, which was excellent.

The holiday rep was not helpful! In order to get upgraded to another hotel, we had to contact FASTTRACK ourselves, mobile expenses ending up at £60!

The worst thing about the place was the dirt, we changed our room but it still wasn't up to scratch. We spoke with a guest who told us the bed clothes were dirty. Here are some examples of the standard:

Toilet exit straight out into the restaurant.
Drainage smell in rooms.
Uncovered food trays outside, open for "bird" attack.
No food tongs.
Dirty rooms and very poorly maintained.

And as to being all-inclusive, which is what we paid for:-

No wine included.
Beer ran out twice.
No diet mineral drinks.
Every drink out of paper cups.

And to top it all, when we did eventually get FASTTRACK to move us, we had to pay 30usd per room in order to escape the place, this is because we checked out after 12 noon, even if we had been trying to move since we got there the day before.

Steer clear everyone!

Comments:  We booked through Fastrack and went on the Thomson Celebration for the first week and were told by another couple that the food and the complex was not brilliant, but when we arrived we said that we would make up our own minds, well we did and this is what we came up with:

Well where to start. firstly the rep did not speak very good English so any concerns or problems were hard to get across.

The room we was in was quite poor the sink was falling apart and there was hardly any lighting.

The food, oh my goodness, I have now been home for 1 week and my stomach has only just started keeping food in. Every time I ate in the complex in a matter of minutes I could guarantee I was in the toilet.

There was not a lot to choose from (that was actually edible) bread rolls mainly.

I am in my 20's and I found that I was constantly being stared at by the staff, who were very overly friendly at times and made me feel very uncomfortable.

I would however like to say a big thank you to the KFC in Sharm who did cater for us for most of the week, the staff were excellent, and it was very clean and very cheap.

Also on this site is says the hotel is a 3* but the hotel says it’s a 4* so which is it? (apparently they automatically get 1* for the location).

Sharm itself is a beautiful place and would recommend going to it.

Good Luck to anyone who goes I hope you have a better experience than us.

Comments:  i consider myself to be quite particular especially were food and basic hygiene is concerned, i can honestly say that we had a great time, the food is not outstanding but remember you are in egypt, we found we could put an acceptable meal together every sitting, the all inclusive alcohol was adequate, six of us traveled, ate every day in the hotel and none of us were ill. The pool area was fine, reps were very friendly. SOME PEOPLE ARE NEVER SATISFIED WITH ANYTHING. DONT LET THE BAD REVIEWS PUT YOU OFF We have just booked again to go in november 08.This time we will be taking mare family members. A final word, yes the russians and the germans are quite rude, be twice as rude and dont be intimidated.

Comments:  Very disappointed with the service provided by Fast Track Holidays. No rep at the resort. We were so disappointed with our room that we wanted to upgrade but were told we had to phone fast track in UK. Although I informed the Fast track uk office I was phoning from Egypt I was put in a queuing system which cost 93 pounds sterling for one call! The company said they would call back but didn't. Two further calls brought the same result.

At the hotel the staff were wonderful and the food was more than reasonable, in fact the sweets were FAB! The pools were very clean.

The hotel was sold to us as 4 star...no way!

The hotel location is good.

Supposed to be all inclusive, including local alcohol, but we had to pay for even the local red wine. As this is all we drink I thought this was very unfair.

The hotel was advertised as having its own private beach but this small beach was far from the hotel, food and drink had to be paid for there, and there where no toilet or shower facilities. There was a hotel bus that went to the snorkeling beach several times a day but if you missed it it was an hours walk.

To sum up I'd say if the hotel was refurbished it would be wonderful. I'LL NEVER EVER BOOK A HOLIDAY WITH FAST TRACK AGAIN!

Comments:  The hotel was a bit of a culture shock after coming from the Thomson Celebration cruise, but after 24 hours it turned out not to be too bad. Not as bad as some guests were trying to suggest.

The food was presentable and well cooked, with a good variety.

The rooms were kept to a reasonable standard. Towels changed daily and rooms cleaned.

The two pools were to a very good standard with plenty of sun loungers.

Location close to Naama bay just five to ten min walk.

Over all for the price paid it was not bad value as a 2/3 hotel. A bit of T.L.C could easily lift it up to a 3/4 grade.

Comments:  After a wonderful week aboard the Thomson Celebration this was our second week's holiday.

Our first impression was very good. The bedroom was very large as was the bed. The bathroom was clean with shower and bath and we had a balcony overlooking the quiet pool.
(There are two - the other is the activity pool).

On arrival we checked in, a bit chaotic to say the least, and got our all inclusive arm bands. We showered and changed and went to the pool bar to get some lunch but meals have to be taken in the dining room at certain times.

All inclusive at this hotel does not include meals from the pool bars. (I haven't come across this before.) If you want to eat at the pool bars you have to pay, not a lot but having paid for all inclusive would have thought this was included as well.

Having a hectic first week seeing the sites in Jordan and Egypt we wanted a quiet lazy week by the pool. The first two days were ok, although the food left a lot to be desired.

There were lots of Russians and Italians at the hotel and the food seemed to be aimed at them. Lots of Pasta! And none of the food seemed to be very hot.

On the third day my husband was taken ill, as were a lot of people who we had become friendly with on the cruise, and I was struck down 24 hours later. People were dropping like flies and we just couldn't wait to get home.

My husband went to the pharmacy and paid £57 for anti-poo tablets and antibiotics but they didn't help at all. I have now recovered but my husband had to see our own doctor and is now under hospital care.

We had been so careful only used bottled water and didn't have salads (which they wash in tap water) but were struck down none the less.

For anyone visiting this hotel I would recommend you eat in Naama bay. This is certainly not a four star hotel and would not recommend it to anyone.

Comments:  Just returned from Sharm H.R. Very disappointing - entertainment virtually nil, food dreadful, more a 2 star than 4 star as stated. Never go again.

Situated about 15 minutes from beach though a shuttle bus is available free from hotel other than that we would not have left hotel as weather really hot and we are in our 60's.

General outlook of property was attractive, surrounding area, pools gardens etc but needed a general overhaul inside.

Comments:  We have recently got back from our fantastic holiday at the Sharm Holiday Resort. After staying at various hotels around the world I have to say this is the cleanest and friendliest hotel I have ever stayed at.

If you are planning on staying at this hotel please don't be put off by other reviews on here about the food. You cannot go to Egypt and expect them to cook food that us English are used to. After all they have to cater for many different nationalities and this should be taken into account. There is plenty of variety at meal times and lunch and dinner always offer a different kind of rice, pasta and potatoes along with different types of fish and meats.

We didn't eat the salad as we assumed it would be washed in their water and were pre-warned about the infamous Egyptian belly. We had plenty of bottled water with us in the rooms which we used for drinking and cleaning our teeth.

The rooms were spotless and very spacious. We had an amazing view overlooking the Sinai desert which was very quiet and relaxing. On a couple of occassions we had to call maintenance to fix our shower as we had no hot water but they were very quick to come to the room and always had a security man with them which felt very reassuring.

The Hotel is in an ideal situation for the town and beach and not too close that you have noise at night.

The pools are lovely and very clean. Yes, you do have to drink from cardboard cups by the poolside however I would have thought this would be common sense as it can get slightly slippery around there.

There are always drinks available at both pool bars during the day and you can even sit in the pool at the bar and have a drink!

We went on the glass bottom boat which took us out to the corals snorkelling. It was an amazing experience and certainly one I would highly recommend. It was only supposed to last for 1 and quarter hours however due to the locals being so laid back there, we were actually out for nearly 3 hours without having to pay any extra!

They love the English out there so treat them with respect and be polite and you will be treated like royalty.

We are now planning our holiday there next year!

Comments:  My boyfriend and i stayed at Sharm Holiday Resort for 2weeks in September 2007.
After reading all of the bad reviews on the hotel and Naama Bay, we were really worried about what we would find when we got there.
We needn't have worried because it was fantastic. The hotel was very clean as was our room, the staff were friendly and the food was great.
If you are there for 2weeks, the food does get a bit repetitive but it's not bad, just very basic.
The room was very comfortable and always clean- our towels were changed every day by our maid who was also very friendly.
On our first day we had no hot water but we told reception who sent someone to fix it straight away. After that we had no problems at all.
The pool areas were both lovely too, but if you want a sunbed then be prepared to get up early! It was very busy when we went though so at different times of the year it might not be a problem getting beds.
Naama Bay was amazing! The hotel was only a 5min walk away so we went down most nights. Yes, the shop owners do pester you, especially when you first arrive in Sharm but as long as you're firm with them and say no, they'll leave you alone.
Hard Rock Cafe and TGI's are a must if you want to eat out, and they're not expensive either.
Trips to do when you're there are Quad biking- we did this twice because we loved it so much!- star gazing in the desert-AMAZING- and the aqua park- so much fun!!
It was my boyfriend's birthday whilst we were there and the hotel had seen this on his passport and put a cake in our room for him! He was really touched by the personal touch.
At the end of the day, some people expect far too much from 4*hotels in other countries so they are bound to be disappointed. If you go with an open mind, you'll enjoy it.

Comments:  My boyfriend and i stayed at Sharm Holiday Resort for 2weeks in september 07 and it was fantastic. We read some awful reviews on this hotel so we were worried about what we would find once we got there.
we needn't have though because the room was comfy and clean, the staff were friendly and the food was good.
i'm a fussy eater so i was expecting to be disappointed but i wasn't, the only thing is for 2weeks it does get a bit repetitive. we just went into naama bay if we fancied a change.
we had no hot water on our first day but once we had told reception, they sent someone to fix it and we didn't have a problem again.
the pool- if you want a sunbed, you do need to be early, but it was very busy when we went.
while i was there, i had a bad heat rash and called the hotel doctor who was lovely and recommended some cream which i got frome the pharmacy- it was magic and cleared within a day.
naama bay- yes you get pestered a bit, but tell them no thanks and be firm and they leave you alone. we loved it and felt very safe here.
the hotel put a cake in our room on our last night because it was my boyfriends birthday- they had seen this on his passport. we were really touched. you can't get more friendly or personal than that!!!
if you do any trips, then go quad biking, star gazing and to the aqua park- they were fab!!!
egypt is a place that poeple need to remember has different standards to us, so when they go and expect our 5star, they're bound to be disappointed.
go with an open mind and you'll have a fab time. this hotel was well worth the money.
we're going back to naama bay this year we loved it tha much!!!

Comments:  I have just got back from the Sharm Holiday and thought I would read the reviews on her. They all seem a bit extreme one way or the other, so it’s hard to believe they are all genuine.

We were meant to stay at the Sharm Cliff but were moved to this hotel without an explanation, apparently this is normal practice?

On the first night we went down to dinner and myself and my boyfriend were disappointed. The food was a mixture of different things that didn’t seem to make a meal. The steak was being cooked on a hot plate and was like a huge mass of hard thin steak all piled up on top of each other getting cold. There wasn’t a great deal of choice and the food was the same all week, we ate there once for dinner and once for lunch in the week we were there. The breakfast is fine if you like toast and pastries, there isn’t really a cooked breakfast.

The snacks are usually bread cheese and some sort of meat slice, on occasions you get pizza. We are not fussy eaters, but the food was bland, poorly cooked and not as expected for a 4 * the drinks are not 'real' its watered down coke, sprite etc.

The hotel was nice, two big pools with entertainment, the room was cleaned daily and the hotel staff were fine.

The town was lovely and was only a 5 minute walk away.

Overall I could recommend this hotel, but eat out; we got a lovely fish meal on the beach right by the sea with drinks for under £20.

Sharm is a great resort but be wary of this hotel. It wasn’t terrible as some may say but it was by no means amazing.

If you do visit, Cario is a must but pay the extra to fly, the bus was horrible and it took 7 hours!

Comments:  My partner and I went to Sharm in July 2007, we had originally booked to stay in the Sharm Cliff Resort but were moved to the Sharm Holiday Resort as this hotel is an upgrade apparently.

The rooms were reasonably sized and very clean, it was cleaned daily. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were great, two good sized pools.

However, we stayed all inclusive and the food left a lot to be desired. As this hotel caters for a lot of nationalities a strange assortment of food is to be expected. Although food is always plentiful, finding something I recognised was difficult most days!

For this reason we ate out a lot, it is very cheap to eat out and there are many restaurants in the nearby Naama Bay (Including McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut etc.) However, it definitely wasn't worth my paying for all inclusive!

Overall, a great holiday, a nice clean hotel however I would not recommend all inclusive!
